Beware! Mad Scientists!
This is a well written book about a shrunken world that Dr. Charlie Fawn, PhD had been forced to live in when his boss, Dr. Taylor Slickberg shrinks him to steal Dr. Fawn’s finished research results. After Charlie’s last trial, there had been hundreds of failed trials before this one worked and he was excited to show his successful results to his boss, Dr. Slickberg. Dr. Fawn had developed a bacteria-fighting Amenopeben (SSA), to kill off the antibiotic-resistant bacteria, Streptococcus.

Now after months of Charlie adapting to his new tiny strange world, Dr. Slickberg brought in a new scientist to take over his lab; a new candidate for Dr. Slickberg to steal his finished research from. For Russell Quinn this is the first University that accepted him to finish his PhD in physics and he was excited to begin. But Russell didn’t even last a whole day before he was shrunken. Dr. Slickberg want Russell, but not to have him finish his studies with him, but to steal a piece of his DNA; a mere hair—a hair from the wolf shifter.

I was hooked at the beginning of the book as Troy Hunter brought me through a world where you’re only 2 inches tall or less. The details are incredible what Charlie had come up with to survive. Now, Russell Quinn has joined him in his tiny world; a world where a drop of water, or crumbs from the employee’s lunches can last Charlie several days to survive.

Charlie had grown content and had accepted his life, but not Russell. He refused to think that what happened to them couldn’t be reversed. He has his own idea how to make that happen. They had to get into Dr. Slickberg’s office and his computer which is on the 10th floor, so their first adventure to find ways to get to Dr. Slickberg’s office was no easy feat.

And after succeeding that trip, they have another to make, they needed to get to the basement to find the room that holds the cyclotron that could reverse their size once Russell had changed the schematics of the instrument. Just when they were so close to getting into the room, they are stopped.

The two go through another threatening adventure when they discover a group of shrunken scientist and they have much to learn and who to trust. I would highly recommend this book. Troy Hunter has shown excellent writing skills and imagination. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Charlie Fawn was shrunk by a crazy old man at the research facility that he worked at. For six months he never left the area outside of his lab. One day Charlie hears voices and goes to investigate. Charlie finds his boss and a young guy in his lab. Charlie was able to warn the young guy before his boss shrunk him. As Russell shrunk down he turns into a wolf. Charlie gets Russell to follow him to safety. can Charlie and Russell decide to go up to the bosses office to see if they get look at a copy of the shrink ray gun to reverse it so that they can grow tall again. On their journey they find out that they are not the only ones that have been shrunk down. Will they find a way to reverse the effects of the shrink ray or will they be small forever?

Oooooohhh kaaay. So this is the first title from this author that I’ve read. The story is well written as in good characters, structure etc. However, you have to seriously suspend disbelief for this story. I get this is sci fi and expected oddities and of course something about shrink rays. We get everything! There is a mad scientist, a werewolf, lab mice and romance.

This was a cute story. I think it would work better if this was about high school students because the love story is simple and the sexy parts are PG13. I could see this as a TV movie- my kids would love it. I gave it 3 stars because the plot was a bit unbelievable and simple. The last third of the book is super good. It’s exciting and tense so I am glad I finished it. I would definitely read more from this author.

Always trust your gut! Charlie Fawn, successfully complets experiences for SSA, dedicated Mad scientist, Dr Slickberg steals Charlie's work and removes him from the lab by shrinking him with intent to permanently remove. Russell, new research assistant falls victim to Dr Slickberg's machinations. Dr Slickberg takes credit for everyone's work. Once shrunk, Russell, shifter and Charlie find a community of littles. Now the fun begins. Can they find a solution to regrow? Can they defeat Dr Slickberg? Will dr Slickberg get exactly what Dr Slickberg deserves? The entire concept is new to me and absolutely delicious! An exciting read because it keeps you guessing. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review. This was fun!

Loved😍

I received this book by the author and this is my honest opinion.
This reminded me obviously of honey I shrunk the kids though on steroids😁 it took the idea of the shrink ray gun and maxed out the story to an interesting tale of potential murder weapon, adventure to become big and a bad boy wolf shifter to help come to the rescue🐺. I'm don't normally read too my sci-fi books but this one was so well done, that the words flowed from the page to create an interesting tale and adventure picturing in my head. There was steamy scenes and action galore with a sweet little mouse 🐁to add a touch of humour and sweetness. Thoroughly recommend for an interesting, refreshing new plotline. The cover is also cute😍

This was my first book by this author and found the characters were well developed and engaging with the storyline flowing easily enough. Did not realize it’s was a sci-fi book which is really not my type of books. But having asked for an ARC I read it and was pleasantly surprised with it.

Whilst the plot was interesting, I knew from the first few pages I wasn’t going to be jumping for joy over the story. I liked Rita and the wolf but couldn’t get into Charlie’s side of things.
