Rate this book
Welcome back to Aspen Cove, the town where a stranger is simply a friend you haven’t met…

Eden Webster has always been generous to a fault. The word no isn’t in her vocabulary. That’s how at twenty-eight she finds herself homeless, alone, and pregnant in Aspen Cove. Abandoned by the one person she should have been able to count on, her sister Suzanne, she’s forced to accept the generosity of strangers. The last thing she expects is to meet Mr. Right at exactly the wrong time.

Handsome firefighter Thomas Cross lives by one rule—never trust a woman with your heart. After months of waiting for his baby to be born, he’s delivered the truth of his girlfriend’s betrayal. When Doc Parker asks him to put Eden up for a few months until her baby is born, he’s certain he’ll be able to keep his distance. But the more time they spend together, the more he realizes love is not something that can be overruled by logic.

Will Thomas allow room in his heart for Eden and her baby, or will he go back to being the man who cannot trust? Find out in One Hundred Goodbyes…

“You’re either a friend or a friend we haven’t met. We’ve met you, so now you’re a friend. No one turns their back on a friend.” Eden let out a semi-hysterical laugh. “No, you have to be related for that kind of dismissal.”

My Review:

I giggle-snorted my way through this delightfully amusing and tender sweet small-town romance. This was a fun and satisfying read. I typically avoid pregnancy stories but since I will gleefully pick up anything Kelly Collins cares to print (although I’d have to think long and hard if she took a turned at zombies), I was willing to give it a perusal and lucky me, it was one of her best. The storylines were relevant, topical, and thoughtfully put forth with an interesting and colorful cast of quirky small-town personalities for extra flavor. I adored this couple and enjoyed spending time with them.

Part of the reason that I keep coming back to Aspen Cove is that, the series never puts a foot wrong. Collins finds the sun even when it hides behind storm clouds. One Hundred Goodbyes serves as a beacon of hope to all the brokenhearted dreamers in the world. Eden is determined to see the positive, when dealing with the negativity that threatens to drown her. Collins makes her own rainbow. Heart, wisdom and hope deliver a colorful ray of sunshine to chase away the blues.

Another wonderful book in this series! I felt so bad for Eden and the way her sister treated her. Eden is such a giving person, and wants to be closer to her older sister. Eden finds herself pregnant, jobless and homeless. Eight months pregnant driving to Alaska, she finds herself in Aspen Cove with pregnancy problems. Luckily for her she falls down by where Thomas, a fireman, carries her to the doctor in town. She ends up staying in town, and the doctor gets Thomas to help her. Thomas has some ghosts he has to come to terms with. This town and the people are wonderful! I would love to live in a town like Aspen Cove. Eden and Thomas have a journey to love that is unlike most. This is a wonderful story with ups and downs, the best of people, and the worst of people. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Another great story to add to the Aspen Cove family.
Eden is alone and pregnant with her sister's baby. Eden has always looked up to her sister and wanted to be just like her, when Suzanne was unable to fall pregnant Eden jumped at the chance to help her. Not long before the baby is due everything changes, and Suzanne no longer wants the baby. Eden down't know what to do or where to go, she has very little money and decides to visit her aunt in Alaska, along the way a bad storm is forecast so she needs to stop. Aspen Cove is where she ends up.
Confirmed bachelor Thomas one of the local firefighters comes to her rescue, after she visits the doctor, Thomas'house is the only one with room and no stairs for her to climb.
Thomas had issues with a woman before and Eden's pregnancy hits too close to home for him, but he starts to feel responsible for her and she makes him see things in a different light.
Once the baby is born, Suzanne returns and the whole town gets involved.
Kelly Collins this is a wonderful book and a terrific series, I can't wait for the next one. You won't be disappointed at all.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I love any excuse I can get to return to Aspen Cove. But, oy! This pair. Eden and Thomas both have their own wagon trains of emotional baggage they’re bringing along. Single and pregnant, Eden stumbles into Aspen Cove while trying to get ahead of the chaos her life has become. In typical Aspen Cove fashion, the town enfolds her as one of their own. Everything about Eden lights sparks in Thomas, but not all of them are good because Eden and her situation cuts too close to part of his own past that he’d rather forget. There is so much chemistry between these two. And I adored watching the way the town rallied around them. (And how hard they worked to put Eden and Thomas together in the first place.) The little stinger at the end of this story makes me absolutely rabid to get my hands on the next book.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

This series is so good and One Hundred Goodbyes is my favorite to date. Eden agrees to be a surrogate for her sister but when she looses her job and what her sister does(not saying because it’s a spoiler) she decides to head to Alaska to live with her aunt. She has a detour in Aspen Cove, meets Thomas and decides to stay there til she gives birth. Of course she ends up falling in love with everything Aspen Cove. But when her sister comes back wanting the baby back, she’s devastated. Can she get a happy ending? Highly recommended.

The best thing about reading an Aspen Cove book is knowing that there's always going to be a happy ending! I love to escape to this town and Eden's and Thomas' story did not disappoint me. We first got to know Thomas in Luke's story (Aspen Cove #8) and I was very curious what woman would catch this affirmed bachelor's eye. Well it's Eden. She's the kindest person and everyone around her has taken advantage of her. Now she finds herself alone, 8 months pregnant and in Aspen Cove. Doc has forbidden her from traveling to Alaska which was her destination and Thomas ends up offering her a place to stay much to his own surprise. These two have so much in common that once they're together, Thomas starts to reexamine his bachelor ways. This is an absolutely sweet love story with very little steam (Eden is 8 months pregnant after all!) and it stands alone however I recommend reading the other books in the series so that you will come to love the characters as much as I do. It's told from dual POV and Aspen Cove is truly the best fictional town in the country!

A Review of One Hundred Goodbyes by Kelly Collins

Thomas and Eden - 5 Stars

I absolutely LOVE all the books I've read by Ms. Collins and the town of Aspen Cove. I really feel like I know most of the characters of the book from one book or another in the series. Having learned a little bit about Thomas from the last book, it was good to learn more about him and what makes him tick and who broke his heart. There are enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. Make sure you pick this one up as soon as you can, you don't want to miss out.

I have been in LOVE with this series from the beginning. It is a must read. Some people might see that this is book 10 and it turn them away. I swear if you start with book 1 you will be hooked. In this book we have Eden and Thomas. Eden is a waitress and Thomas is a hunky firefighter. Eden is in a situation where she has some tough choices to make. Thomas happens to be in the right place at the right time. What happens when a beautiful lady comes into your life? What happens when a handsome firefighter comes into your kid? Go ahead and read this series. I know you are dying to.

One Hundred Goodbyes #9 – Another good book from the Aspen Series, my second, and it’s not sequential, but I still enjoyed reading Goodbyes. The well written and interesting storylines combined with loveable and decent people make this a good read. The past books are just mentioned in passing, not spending a lot of time rehashing a previous book, which makes it nice to go back and read them without a lot of spoilers. We all know how the books end, it’s the journeys that make the books interesting. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*

Aspen Cove Series:
One Hundred Excuses - This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it immensely. Well written with good storylines and characters that are likable and decent people. I didn't realize this is part of series because other people and previous history were mentioned in passing as if introduced in another book. BUT this did not diminish my enjoyment of this delightful, heartwarming story. I had fun with Mrs. Beasley (from Family Affair), I remember when she hit the store shelves in the late 60s. Now I want to read the rest of the stories. I did skip the sex scenes, for me the sexual tension is interesting and written sex is boring. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 5*

One Hundred Lifetimes #7 - Even though this is part of a series and I've only read one other book, this didn't take away from Lifetimes being a good story. There was a little too much bantering about sex, but I understood the reason and skipped those pages and the sex scenes; I was bored by them.

The storylines are interesting. The characters were likable and decent people, and it was fun to see the characters from Excuses show up along with the other regulars. The journey that Poppy and Mark take is comical, intense, sad and worth reading. Life is too short to dally and wonder, go make it happen. I contacted the author to review her books and received this through Booksprout. 4*

Kelly Collins, you keep breaking my heart with every amazing book you write but this one stabbed me deeply. But I always had faith that you would put it back together but the journey was a bumpy one for a while. Aspen Cove is a place I would just love to visit and to meet all the wonderful characters that live there if only our book world would be real. It may not be real but the author makes you feel like it is with her characters and stories. If you have not read any of the books in this series I would recommend them all to you as you will not be disappointed in them.

Eden Webster was a kind-hearted person that would never say no to anyone and especially her older sister. Eden soon finds herself homeless and in need of help, when she stops for gas in a small town called Aspen Cove. At the lowest point in her life, she finds the generosity and help of this town to be wonderful. She is not happy to take help but she has no choice as she is 8 months pregnant and alone in the world.

Thomas Cross is one of the local fire-fighters who has just moved into his new house or should I say the man cave. Thomas is happy in his new place and when a nice deed turns into something a lot more he will have to take a good look at his past. A past where he’s future will never trust a woman with his heart again.

“A homemade dinner was more than he could hope for but turning his underwear white again was pure sorcery. Eden had brought some magic with her presence. What was he going to do with her? Most importantly what was he going to do with his feeling about her?”

What will Eden do stay in town for the safety of the unborn child and accept the help from strangers or make her way to Alaska to her Aunts?

Will her new roommate change her plans or make her leave faster?
This is a very heart-warming story that in my mind is one of the best of this series.

Eden is not having the best week. First she loses her job after refusing a jerks advances then her sister drops a bombshell that changes her world forever. So what is a girl to do but pack her stuff and try to find a way to moving. Things are a little different for Eden though since she is eight months pregnant and oh so alone. By happenstance she finds herself in a place called Asoen Cove and this is where her story starts to get better even though at first it gets a little worse.
Thomas has been burned in love and refuses to take that risk again. He is quite content in his house that he is remodeling as his bachelor pad and having the occasional hookup he knows it&'s better to keep his heart closed off once bitten twice shy and all that. Soon his life changes though in the way of a beautiful blonde with a bump and an elusive box of doughnuts.
These two a thrust together by a meddling doctor and some circumstances out of everyones control and no matter how much Thomas fights his attraction to Eden will not be silenced. Once the truth if Edens current situation is revealed and Thomas shares his past pain these two dinars a way to bond and to toe towards a relationship. However sometimes the worst thing possible can happen and what was their hea is threatened by a vindictive sister with a me complex. Thomas refuses to lose his hea and Eden will never give up on her new family so they fight to keep it but will they be granted their wish or will they lose a part of their love that can never be replaced.
This book was amazing and sweet and just perfect. These two are fighters and with a whole town behind them its amazing to read their hea. Author did such an amazing job! Such a beautiful story.

Eden is single, alone and very pregnant when she meets Thomas for the first time. She has just had the rug pulled out from under her and her plan of action has left her in a perilous situation. She agreed to be a surrogate mother and carry a baby for her sister. On the verge of divorce, her sister no longer wants the baby, and has in fact told Eden to just give it up for adoption. Eden is on her way to Alaska to live with her aunt, when she stops for a break in the town of Aspen Falls. A health scare leaves her unable to travel and needing a place to stay, and after much debate, she ends up staying with Thomas. Thomas is a confirmed bachelor and a hunky fireman. He has had his heart broken in the past, and Eden’s situation is stirring up a great deal of painful memories. Yet he can’t turn her away. As time goes by, Eden is adopted by the townspeople who offer her support and advice. Thomas begins to realize that Eden is not like his ex and that she has stolen his heart. When her sister reappears in Eden’s life, Thomas and the townspeople stand staunchly behind Eden and offer all their love and support. What started out as a convenient arrangement to help someone in trouble has turned into the love affair of a lifetime. This book was perceptive and emotionally charged, as well as highly entertaining. It is easy to love this couple and to root for a very happy ever after.

One Hundred Goodbyes is the ninth book in the Aspen Cove Romance series, and while the characters are interconnected, the romance stands alone. Eden agreed to be a surrogate for her sister, but now her sister doesn’t want the baby. Just as her life feels like it’s starting to fall apart, Eden stumbles into Aspen Cove, where she meets Thomas and a whole town of kindness. But just as things start coming together for Eden and Thomas, her sister comes back. Will this baby be the glue that holds everyone together, or will Eden and Thomas lose everything?

Oh my goodness, this book is pure and sweet and full of love! It’s amazing what kindness can do, what selflessness can do, and what love can do! Eden and Thomas are absolutely adorable together, helping each other through some difficult times, bringing light into each other’s lives. What I loved most about Eden is that she could see the good in everyone, but never expected to feel that kindness from others. It was almost a contradiction, but I loved how the people of Aspen Cove just kept surprising her again and again! Thomas had a heartbreaking past with his ex, but I loved watching him bloom again with love and realizing how lonely he had actually become. I loved that this town just rallied around this couple, that this couple had to go through some ups and downs before they could become a family, and I just... really loved the sweetness and messages behind this story!

I know I have probably said this before, but this series just keeps getting better and better! I couldn’t put the book down and read it in one sitting! Eden Webster has always tried to earn the love and respect of her older sister, Suzanne. She agreed to bear a child for Suzanne and her husband and now finds herself eight months pregnant and stranded in Aspen Cove. Thomas Cross, firefighter, finds Eden about to collapse and takes her to Doc Parker’s clinic. When due to her pregnancy she is unable to continue her journey, Thomas agrees to let her live in his home until it is safe for her to travel. Thomas was dealt a severe blow years ago by his fiancée and was not ready to share his home with Eden, an engaging and lovable woman whose courage and integrity are winning over his heart. When Eden’s past comes back to haunt her, and she is threatened with losing her baby, Thomas and the entire town will step up to protect her…she is now one of them and the people of Aspen Cove takes care of their own. I loved it (as I have the entire series) and can’t wait for book #10! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)

So I had already meet some of the characters, but I wasn't aware of that until the first half of the book. I fell in love with Aspen Coven in One Hundred Reasons, but with One Hundred Goodbyes this love just grew too much, this town has something special, every character is unique, but Eden Webster is one of the best characters ever, she's selfless, she loves like noneone and she's a strong woman, so the way her story is told just shows how amazing she is, you're going to love her personality and her way to think about her problems. And if we need to talk about a book hero, Thomas is your man, he's the real prince in shining armor, he's thoughfull, he's funny and he's lovely, the mix of this two characters its going to show you how love can conquer everything, but above all, and THIS is important, the love of this town is what let us fall in love with each story, this characters are the amazing characters just because this town and its residents let them be amazing.
So here is want I think, you totally should read this book, and not just this one but the whole series, its amazing, and please do me a favor, fall in love with Aspen Coven as much as I am.

Kelly Collins has once again created a well written story about second chances and new beginnings in the town of Aspen Cove and the return of towns people readers fell in love with from the beginning as well as a few new characters. Eden is a single pregnant woman who finds herself in a pickle and medically forced to stay in Aspen Cove. Thomas is the deputy fire chief who has sworn off women because of a broken heart. When the tow are thrown together as roommates, sparks fly, hearts are healed, and Eden and Thomas find something they have both wanted but never been able to find... a family and unfailing love. One Hundred Goodbyes is a fantastic, heartwarming story filled with heartache, laughter, a community that's more like family, healing, fear, passion, and love. Readers will once again fall in love with the towns folk of Aspen Cove and won't want to put this new novel down.

The Aspen Cove Series is one I like the most, I'm always looking forward to the next book.
Eden Webster is a good person who can't say no to anyone, and this is how she sees herself eight months pregnant, unemployed and without a place to live. She then decides to go to Alaska to stay with her aunt.
On the way, she decides to stop at Aspen Cove and ends up meeting firefighter Thomas Cross. When she is examined by Doc Parker and he says she can't continue her journey, the first place he thinks for her to stay is at Thomas's house.
While Eden and Thomas share the same roof, they both get to know each other better and learn to trust each other. In addition, the entire city of Aspen Cove helps them while awaiting the arrival of the baby.
But when an unexpected surprise threatens their newly acquired happiness, will they be able to overcome it, or will each go their way?
I loved the characters, the story and being able to see again all the other characters. I highly recommend the reading.

I have come to love the town of Aspen Cove and it’s inhabitants. A place where people go to visit, and never leave. Where they get a second chance on life, always for the better.
This time it’s Eden Webster’s story. Her big heart has put her in a place she never expected. Pregnant , abandoned and homeless, she stops in Aspen Cove on her way to visit her aunt in Alaska.
By chance she meets firefighter Thomas Cross. A man that was badly hurt by a woman and therefore no longer believes in love.
But fate brings them together and as they get to know each other, feelings develop. When things seem to be going in their favor, an obstacle could threaten their lives.
Will they open their hearts to each other? Will they be able to overcome the obstacles and find their HEA?
Another engaging story in this series with wonderful characters.
The narrator, Logan McAllister, once again, does a great job with the various voices.

Finding love in the most unlikely circumstances
Eden, let down in the most cruel way by her sister. Having put her life on hold to give her an amazing gift she now needs to reevaluate her own life.
Broken, unsure what to do she heads to Canada and detours on the way to Aspen Cove.
Thomas, hurt and carrying baggage from a previous failed relationship is starting to feel lonely as most of his friends now have partners.
Meeting Eden as she is passing through the town he comes to her aid and then ends up becoming so much more in his life.
Navigating their shared existence together brings them so much closer and in the end Thomas and the town rally around Riley when she most needs it.
A really sweet story of finding love in the most unlikely circumstances.
I enjoyed the old characters from previous books making an appearance and loved the main characters.
As always looking forward to continuing listening / reading more Aspen Cove stories.

It’s so much fun to read another book in this series. I want to live in Aspen Cove! People are wonderful, know how to work out their own problems, and, they actually feel like a community of diverse people who bond together for each other. Who wouldn’t love a small town Doctor who is there for you; who wouldn’t love to have a cute Bed and Breakfast to house guests;and, who wouldn’t love to be part of the bonding in Aspen Cove with those who could walk into a bakery and post a note on the “wishing wall”… we would all love it. Eden had nowhere to turn; pregnant with little money; and not one person she could turn to….except when she fell at the feet of a cute, strong fireman. I loved this story that made me smile, laugh and enjoy every minute of the read. Thanks to this author, I received an early ARC copy which I loved.

Eden Webster didn’t expect that her sister would abandon her eight months into her agreeing to carry her surrogate baby when she decides she no longer wants it. When she loses her job and her apartment, she decides to drive to Alaska to stay with her grandmother and ends up breaking down in Aspen Cover, where the townspeople immediately embrace her and take in like family. Bachelor firefighter Thomas Cross has been burned by women before, so he doesn’t want to be the one responsible for Eden, but he can’t say. The more time he spends with her, the more she and her unborn child wrap themselves around his heart. Thomas was so sweet and I love how he was willing to give up his man cave for Eden. Her sister was a selfish piece of work. The townspeople were wonderful and it was great to catch up with the characters from the previous books in the series.

Aspen Cove has become almost a real place to me with the beautiful books that Kelly Collins has written and this one is no exception the thing that makes these books is the characters that are such a deep part of every book

This is Edan and Thomas's story He is a local firefighter who has sworn off women and his friends are determined he should rethink this When he comes to the aid of a eight months pregnant woman who has just arrived in ton he may start to rethink his ideas. Edan agreed to be her sister Suzanne surrogate now her sister has abandoned her and she is eight months pregnant and all alone that is till a certain firefighter an his friends step up to help her. As Thomas grows closer to Edan and realises she is nothing like the woman that broke his heart he starts to fall in love but when Edan past comes closer to her he will have to step up to keep her and her baby safe

Well this series is definitely one not to miss. Even though its the ninth
book they do not have to be read in order but I same of the characters are
from the books before this one so you would have a better understanding
Of what the people are like in Aspen Cove.
Now to tell you a bit about the latest couple to form a relationship.
Eden was having a baby for her sister and brother in law but things do not
go as planed her sister broke up with her husband and tol Eden to put it up
for adoption. Eden was going to her aunts and she stop in Aspen Cove on the
way. She was outside of a cafe when she landed on her knees with pain this is where
Thomas Comes into the picture and most of our friends from Aspen Cove to find out
what I mean you will have to read it for yourself.

The pace of this book moved a lot faster than I expected. I did not like Eden's sister from the beginning and did not think much more of Eden's mother. I felt badly for Eden because she wanted to believe her sister was a better person than she had been told. I could understand her hurt, anger, and disappointment when she was faced with the truth.

Thomas truly turned out to be Eden's night in shining armour. He was a decent guy, and their attraction was immediate. After hearing Eden's story, he was able to put his bitterness and distrust from the past behind him. Thomas proved both his character and his love by showing his support for Eden when her sister showed up with completely selfish motives.

Once again, the community of Aspen Cove stepped up to the plate the moment Eden hit town. This book is full of love, loyalty, friendship, and family with a liberal dose of community.

Eden is pretty much a people pleaser which has led to her being all alone and weeks a way from having a baby in a strange town, luckily for her it is Aspen Cove she is stuck in and she is about to learn exactly what it is like to have friends and family that care about her. These books just make you all warm and loved up with how lovable the characters are including the whole town as well as Thomas the eternal bachelor after events from his past and Eden who you kinda want to wrap up in a big hug as well as shake her. There are some great surprises, twists and "are you kidding!!!" moments that will keep you turning the page to see if they get their happily ever after or if the past yanks it away!!

Eden is too nice for her own good. When she is asked for a miracle by her older sister, she agrees even though her mother advises against it. She becomes a surrogate for her sister, then her sister backs out. Eden is broke and alone and eight months pregnant. While trying to escape to family in Alaska, she ends up in Aspen Cove. She meets Thomas, firefighter and hater of marriage and most women. He had a terrible experience and has never forgiven the female species. When he meets Eden and helps her when she falls in pain, he sees her differently. Reluctantly, he accepts Doc Parker's request to take her in. They find themselves compatible in allways, and even when their happiness is threatened, they manage a happy ending.

Kelly Collins has done it again. She has written a heart-warming story set in the delightful town of Aspen Cove. The chemistry between Thomas and Eden is palpable and will have you rooting for this couple from the beginning. Thomas is a swoon-worthy fireman who has been burned in the past. Eden is a sweet, somewhat naive, woman who has been put in a bad situation by her sister. When they meet, they soon learn they were meant to be together. No road to love is smooth but the HEA is always worth the trip. I strongly urge you to read the entire Aspen Cove series. You will fall in love with the town and its wonderful citizens.
