The first time I met Julian I was almost arrested for crashing his party and stealing his wallet. Not exactly the first impression I was aiming for.

The second time was at a cocktail mixer--my first gig as a paid escort for an elite dating agency in New York. By then I was sure this guy thought I was a total psycho. But for some reason, he picked me.

Me. A clumsy, naïve, and totally out of my depth twenty-two-year-old who'd grown up in a hippy commune. We couldn't be more different. He was driven, conservative, a buttoned-up suit.

Or so I thought.

That night, that room, that party. It changed everything I knew about myself. . . and him.

If I was out of my depth before, it was nothing compared to the world I'd just discovered.

The underbelly of the New York social scene made me balk, yet reeled me in with every sultry glance, with every breathless sigh that escaped his lips.

And before I knew it, I was taking part. I couldn't help myself.

I couldn't help but pick him.

This is the third book in the Seven Vices Series but is read as a standalone. Wow, this book was intense and a page-turner. It was hard to put down once I began. Well written with strong, likable characters and an engaging story line. Chemistry that's explosive and steam galore. A great book. I read an arc via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review. Grab this book now, you will not be disappointed.

This is a fast-paced read with great characters and plenty of steam. The first time she met Julian, Lola was almost arrested. The second time at a cocktail party where she is a paid escort and he picks her. They may be total opposites but the chemistry they share is hot. Entertaining read with plenty of twists and turns. I liked it.

This is the first book I've read from Emily Blythe. Wow! It was suspenseful and a complete page turner. Lola and Julian's story is fantastic!!

Lola lives in New York due to attending school and she's in need of money so she can afford to live with Aspen and Lilian. While she's out wandering the streets with Aspen, she finds a chair she wants from the dumpster. Our heroine decides she needs the chair and goes dumpster diving. After doing so, she finds an expensive wallet that someone lost. Well, our hero lost the wallet. Inside the wallet, there's his identification and a letter that Lola can't help but read. She decides to return the wallet to the proper owner. While there, she meets Minty who introduces her to the "line of work" she does and encourages Lola to call the number.

Our hero is broken and seeking revenge and answers. He's distant, but kindhearted. There's more to Julian than what he appears to be at first.

I highly recommend this book!! I loved it so much that I purchased the two previous books. I received a free ARC from Booksprout and am leaving an honest review!! It was a great read from an author I've never heard of before, but I bought all three books in this series so far!!

From the moment we first see Lola dumpster diving, it was clear we were going to get to see a quirky, and interesting female in this romance.
This is the third of the series, and while the previous two interlink a little, this book can stand alone. As it involves someone we've seen briefly before it would have been nice to see other characters we know passing through the story, but that didn't detract from what was a fun, entertaining and steamy read. There were plenty of amusing moments as well as twists and turns, although I did feel the second half moved along quicker. The interactions between Lola and Julian were sweet and I would have liked to have seen some more conversations between them, but the romance more than made up for that! This book had me glued from the beginning and it very easily sweeps you up into the story and has you rooting for the characters from the start. Am definitely looking forward to the next in the series and am glad to have found a new author to follow.

Who knew dumpster diving would change the course of Lola life. She doesn't have a job, a lot of money or her own place but can appreciate the simple things in life.

After finding a wallet and the secret it holds, decides to look and return the wallet to Julian.

These two have such an engrossing story. From finding the chair to the all the surprises, thrills, secrets, revelations and that captivating romance you won't be able to look away. I had such a great time getting to know the characters, Lola find herself and in the process a man that truly gets and deserves her, Julian has loved and lost but his happy ending came unexpectedly and doesn't even know who he was. It was not a superficial love but one that opened these two up and left them to expose their true selves to a world that isn't kind, all to have the HEA as grand as they deserve. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Good exciting romance
Very good story, with a rather surprising start, as well as the evolution of the female character. Due to the title and context, I thought the story might be darker, but ultimately the romance between Lola and Julian, (though complicated by the past of the two and a bit tortured by Julian's thirst for revenge or his desire to know what happened when he was in prison) is often quite tender. The story is well written and hot.
Lola finds a wallet which she decides to bring back to his owner. She breaks into his house and meets Julian before leaving. In need of money, she signs up with an escort agency for dates and nothing more, and meets Julian again who hires her. The more time passes, the more their relationship intensifies, but Julian keeps a lot of step back and for good reason: he seeks to bring down the person who would have killed his ex-girlfriend.

Lola found Julian's wallet when she went dumpster diving for a chair. When she found a letter from a woman in the lining of the wallet she knew that it may be important to the owner and decided to give it back to him in person. Crashing a party at his house they met and there was an instant attraction. But he was a rich real estate broker and she a student struggling to make ends meet. Then she applied for a job at an escort agency suggested by a girls she met at his house and there she met up with Julian again. And learned that he was her first client as an escort. They shared an immediate bond but Julian swore to keep things between them platonic, his heart was broken once before and he was not in the market for a relationship. Will they chip away at each other's defences and be brave enough to take a chance on love or will fear keep them apart. A well written story.

Lola is in New York for a design school and she struggle to pay her bills. When she finds a wallet by a dumpster she goes to return it to the man it belongs to. Her friend Noah goes with her and when they sneak into a party at Julian's house Lola almost gets more than she bargained for. While there a girl gives her a business card for being an escort in case Lola wants to try. However when she ends up taking a job as a low level escort that is only a companion. She runs into Julian at a mixer and the next thing she knows is he's calling in for her services. Lola starts to have feelings for Julian but he is hung up on his ex. Will Lola wait for Julian or more on?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is the first novel I have read by this author and I am so glad I did. The story was great, but what I liked most was the careful attention to building the romantic tension between Julian and the lovely Lola. The steamy scenes started out small and got more intense each time just as you would expect intimacy to grow.

The other things I liked in this book was the opportunities for Julian to show his possessive side even when he wasn’t sure how he felt about Lola. She was new at working as an escort - just as a date not extra benefits - because she needed the quick money and Julian didn’t think she fit the profile of an escort.

There are some really good twists and turns that I didn’t see coming that also made this a good read. I plan to look at the others in the series.

Obsession by Emily Blythe is book Three in the Seven Vices Series. This is the story of Julian and Lola.
Julian is a rich realtor who has dug his way up to his status. Once a person in jail with a girlfriend who was a escort who he thought was murdered. Once he got out of jail he became obsessed with putting her killer behind bars. Lola is struggling with her life in the city and needs money so she tries the escort service just to go on dates. Lola happens to meet Julian when she is doing her good deed but later ends up meeting him again through the escort service. Both are attracted to the other so they start a relationship of sorts. This was a good read but I had issue with how he just seem to settle in with Lola all the while he had been obsessed with getting justice.

Dumpster diving to escorting to obsession..............what a journey this book takes the reader on

Obsession is the third book in the Seven Vices Series by Emily Blythe. I found this book to be even better than the first two, Wrath and Greed. Obsession tells the story of Lola and Julian and how one little thing can change the course of your life.
This book has a great story-line that is well written and interesting. Both of the main characters are well developed and the supporting characters are nicely flushed out and add to the story-line moving it along.
I enjoyed this third book in the series and look forward to reading the next story, whichever of the sins/vices it is about.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Who thought love would be the natural result from dumpster diving? Lola finds a wallet belonging to Julian while trying to rescue a discarded chair, and in trying to return it, discovers much more about Julian than she could have ever imagined. The tension between them shifts to chemistry after they meet again due to Lola's new job - will they be able to be together? Or will circumstances keep them apart? I started the series with this book but loved every minute of it - I'll need to go back and read the first two books!

Obsession is the third book in Emily Blythe’s The Seven Vices series featuring Lola and Julian. Lola finds a wallet when dumpster dumping and returns it to Julian. When she is fortunate enough to get a job as an escort (without sexual favors) at an elite escort agency she ends up meeting Julian again while being his “date” for the evening. This well written book is an interesting read with realistic characters and an intriguing plot with unexpected twists, strong sexual attraction, and sizzling romance.

First book by Emily Blythe and I loved it. I definitely want to read the other books in the series now. Obsession reminded of Pretty Woman. Of of my favorite movies. I loved that she got her rich man and a happily ever after, all from ‘Dumpster Diving’. One kind deed and Lola was led to Julian, and there starts an instant connection filled with a lot of steam and great friendship and unending love. There were also a lot of twists and surprises in this story. I didn’t want to put the book down. Definitely recommend reading this book.

This book is part of the Seven Vices series. Meet Lola and Julian. These two characters could not be more different on a social scale but that does not mean much. Lola finds Juluans wallet in a dumpster and she returns it to him. Both of these characters have their own set of secrets and a past but their attraction will not let go. The perfect recipe for a really good story. Enjoy!

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns with emotions that makes you want more with reading more pages of the book. All for crashing a party, then an escort service.

Great read. I enjoyed the storyline, the characters and their journey to find love together. I could have used more sex scenes but I enjoyed the ones that were there. I really liked the ending and how it all wrapped everything together. I would read from this author again. The reading of this book was smooth and easy.

Dumpster diving Lola finds a shabby chic couch and a wallet, and that's when things get interesting. Julian has been hurt by his ex and hasn't gotten over her yet, so when he meets Lola he starts to heal. An enjoyable story line and the characters are interesting.
