After looking through this book I can understand why some images were banned in certain places. This series is probably some of the most risque work Royo has done or at least that I've come across. It's till beautiful art but I'd recommend it only for the die hard fans and then even if you are a die hard have an open mind. If you're not a die hard fan but are interested in Luis Royo and want to check out his books I recommend perhaps starting with one of his earlier series because this one could possibly turn you off.
In saying that I still loved it myself and want to get the whole series now.

The first volume of Luis Royo's Prohibited Books series featured risqué artwork arranged by thematic sections and poetic prose, but that pretext is pretty much dropped here. The second book in the collection is a sketchbook and art gallery of many pieces that all share a connected theme of brutal and even grotesque looking humanoid figures getting intimate with attractive women. A true "Beauty and the Beast" situation throughout, and his artwork is stunning. Some of the pieces look more sketched out and unfinished, but when the more painted work is demonstrated, Royo's talents are shown in full glory.

Volumes one and three really didn't move me, but volume two contains some of Royo's most powerful (if aptly titled) art. Fifteen paintings from the Blue Prince are especially magnificent, but there is something to admire on every page.

The artwork is phenomenal, yet I get the feeling this artist has more difficulty approaching women thane would like to admit.

The "beauty & the beast" theme has long been a recurring theme in Royo's art; this book takes it a step further. Some sequential art as well as stand-alone pieces.
