Even though the plot did start wavering a bit in the last couple books, I did like this series with its focus on zombie action and a couple good characters.

This series started to go bad in the third book, and it wasn't super strong to start with. Book 4 was bad. This is just as bad. Also, "super awesome" female protagonist is now totally fine with the kid who is running around "protecting" her? There are just so many tropes in this book, and it is so predictable that it was not enjoyable at all.

Things all books should stop doing:
-"I've taken too much responsibility and never listen to anyone. I need to listen to my friends and team." New crisis. "I'm going to make another unilateral decision."

Things zombie books should stop doing:
-Government conspiracy
-Having two people "fall in love".

The Best For Last - Non-stop Action, Intensely Sensational

I can't say I am not disappointed - well, more likely I'm sad. Only because it's over... For now (somehow I see a possible companion series, or a Zeke standalone?) This book really brought it all together. Lots of zombies, plot twists, and many moments of "how the heck are they going to get out of this corner?!?" I actually put down my current books I was reading when this hit the store. I devoured it like a rampaging Feeder Zombie. Mr. Robbins is a phenomenal writer, and his fifth and final novel in the Zombie Rising series really took his talents to a new, even greater level in captivating storytelling.

If you are a zombie/post apoc genre fan, then please heed my advice - grab book one and dive on in! The whole story is filled with originality, holds your attention all the way and may leave you with a few tears on your cheeks in several places, especially in Reckoning. I'm currently cleaning up a wad of tear stained tissues!!!

Don't forget to keep an eye on Robbins. He has one other book out - currently entitled Tilt ( heard a rumor it may change), but after his much I enjoyed the 'Zombie Uprising' five novel series, I'll read anything he writes. Welcome to my top ten favorite authors, Robbins! To my fellow readers, ENJOY!

Zombie Hybrid Goes After Conspiracy

Jen and the Gang continue to try and stop the zombie hordes. A government conspiracy is behind the outbreak. Jen as a hybrid is trying to stop both the hordes and the conspirators. The action is fast and intense. The book is a page turner. You're looking to see who survives and can our small band of heroes stop the conspiracy 's takeover. The story is good, but the ending was too abrupt, suddenly it was 6 months later, however, alot of questions were answered. If the president was leading the conspiracy, how did our guys stop him? The book is a good read. Anyone interested in zombies or viral apocalypse will enjoy it and the other books in the series.

I absolutely love this series! But, im so sad that it's finished. The Reckoning is a kick-butt, action-packed apocalyptic tale with huge surprises around every turn. It can be read as a stand-alone but why would you want to miss out on the rest of the story. I highly recommend it and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Okay

I felt like this part drug on too long. I was upset about losing one of the key characters. I was hoping that went another way. I won't say who because I won't spoil it for others but it was sad. Overall, this was a good series. Jen and her abilities brought something different to the genre.

Loved It!

I have loved the entire series and The Reckoning was the perfect ending to this series. No spoilers, but there is loss, love, friendship, betrayal and lots of zombie action. Thank You M.A. Robbins for a wonderful journey!

Well what can I say, from a start where I was dubious to carry on to say the least. Yet we now have the final book in series and what a little cracker it is too. I know I have said this before but this is truly and ending you just don’t see coming. Very highly recommended.

What a great series. Started a little slow but I guess you have to get in the back story. Twists and turns throughout. I was starting to think there was going to be a book 6 because I didn’t think it was going to be able to wrap up by the end. It was fun thanks to Jen, Zeke, and D-Day
