With nine previous books, you might expect a series to be running out of gas, but that is definitely NOT the case with the Eastwind Witches collection.

The characters remain fresh as circumstances change. Emphasis in this tale is on my favorite male character, Donovan. Since the plot revolves around some members of Donovan’s family, readers are treated to a lot of background on him. It’s so nice to get to know him better!

Some wild things going on in Eastwind on this trip. There are some really creepy and puzzling circumstances in and around the mystery of the town’s latest suspicious death. There are also some truly funny moments that had me chuckling in between the creepy parts. Just the way I like it.

Recommended for lovers of mysteries and magic.

I received a review copy of this book and am happy to leave a review.

Frustrating. Plot omissions. And Donovan.

(A lengthy review.)

I was seriously considering 2½ stars for this entry into the series, but rounded up to 3 in the vain hope that the next book gets the series' mojo back.

While "Storm A-Brewin'" was the most unsatisfying entry to date - the ending abrupt and jarring, the story too neat - this is by far the most frustrating. On 3 fronts:
1. Donovan
2. A seriously baffling omission
3. The Portal, the Coven and the Winds

Firstly? Argh! Why did this book go the Donovan route.

Between being a sulking man-child and one step away from being a walking red flag, centering Donovan makes this is by far the most trying book in the series. And I'm finding Nora's attracion to him to be implausible. He is the definition of the kinds of men she favoured in her former, unhappy life. The life, and the choices she rejected when embracing her second life in Eastwind.

I don't care for his almost obsessive attraction. And I find his continued pursuit of her tiresome. His superficial 'grief' over the loss of Eva is precisely that - he did not love her, because he never stopped lusting after Nora.

The book almost seems to be devoted to making him 'likeable,' by give him a 'tough' childhood and unlikeable family.

As Eastwinders would say, 'Sweet Baby Jackalope;' he's a petulant, self-pitying 'man.' Tanner and Nora had their childhoods obliterated by both losing both their parents to murder, and Tanner is utterly annoying for only ONE book - and that is also partly Donovan's fault.

The interesting points in this book include: seeing a bit more of Ezra and his personal mystery; the introduction of some curious facets of the now 'incomplete,' Complete Circle; the fact that while the Winds of Change may have stopped blowing, and War averted, prejudice remains alive and well in the Realm; and seeing the expanding range of Nora's Powers, what she may eventually be capable of, and of Fifth Wind Witches full-stop. This also brings up Point 2 - the biggest problem with the central mystery plot.

Ted clearly senses a "death presence of some sort" (Ch. 2) At no point is his ability to sense Fifth Wind Witches taken into account, referred to, or put into action. Ted being unable to detect necromancy/Fifth Wind spells of the type central to the plot, (along with the earlier omissions,) seems like a major oversight.

The 'mystery' is too well telegraphed, and - as stated - the book feels like an effort to make people like Donovan.

It didn't work.

The downsides of this book are: Donovan.
Donavan's family.
And every attempt to wring some kind of sympathy for him, and the failings of his character.

I'm sure there are some readers who were rooting for the Nora-Donovan relationship, but far too much has been made of the Nora-Tanner connexion to just chuck-it-in just 3 months after losing Tanner and Eva. It feels rushed, and almost 'improper,' it is certainly a betrayal of the relationship that was written between Nora and Tanner.

Tanner grew as a person, even when his re/actions were unlikeable, or immature, he did grow.

Donovan never has. When he is being an ass and Nora calls him a jerk, he replies, "you knew what you were getting into." He excuses his behaviour. He doesn't correct it.

Tanner was written as 'Mr Right,' and Donovan is filling the role of 'Mr Right-Now.' Donovan is petulant, obsessed, jealous, and has always been inappropriate. And now we're supposed to buy a very sudden relationship with him?

There is zero sense of either Nora or Donovan actually grieving. Their respective partners may not be dead, but their Fates, specifically for Tanner, may very much feel worse than death.

And finally, Point #3: the fact that there was a rogue, "potentially deadly," Portal tearing through the fabric of two Realms AT ALL, was *soley* the fault of the Coven who had sent assassins after a very young Nora. They did not complete their mission, nor did they close the Portal.

We are simply left to assume that it was THAT Portal to the Earth Realm/Texas that allowed Nora and Eva to travel to Eastwind?

A rather sweeping assumption.

Former Coven Leader Clearbrook's alleged visions of the danger Nora presented to future-Eastwind, turned out - like most 'Prophecies' - to be almost completely self-fulfilling.

Had the Coven not created the Portal (in order to send through the Witches tasked with killing child-Nora,) and had they not left it open, then perhaps not 1 but 2 Earth Realm Witches would have arrived in Eastwind?

Or perhaps an illegally created Portal, torn open in the Deadwoods, and LEFT open in that place, for decades, was enough to cause THE catastrophic imbalance the brought about the Winds and the threat of another inter-species war?

NO-ONE in the Coven has taken responsibility for this, nor apologised for any of it. Even the Culpeppers were prepared to sacrifice Nora, again, while not taking responsibility for not shutting their Portal!

Nor, apparently, after 3 months, have Springsong and Esperia come clean to the Sheriff about their parts in a plot to murder a child, opening illegal, dangerous Portals, being accomplices or accessories after the fact in a double homicide, and in the case of one of them, actually committing a murder. They are guilty of a great deal, and their attitudes towards Nora, from the beginning, are based on the ramblings of Clearbrook. Yet they seem have simply put it behind them, with zero accountability.

That being said, Ruby described an almost identical experience to Nora's when speaking in, book one, about how she arrived in Eastwind - from getting lost, to the mysterious road signs, to the car accident and apparent death. (I don't recall if Ruby also saw the mysterious black figure that *caused* the car crash?) One has to assume that both Fifth Wind Witches were 'taken' to, or arrived in, Eastwind according to some design; that they were meant to be there.

Eva's arrival seemed stranger, and her's - not being a Fifth Wind - did not include her actual death, 'though she had been in danger of dying, and she arrived on Fluke Mountain, not in the Deadwood. The plot hole regarding her arrival: how it happened; how she seemed to have used a 2nd Portal; who opened *that* portal, etc. Have never been answered. Nor have the questions even been asked.

I wonder whether this will be addressed in a later book, (e.g. did Eva have an inate ability to create Portals, in extremis, that she was unaware of?) or if we are simply to ignore the anomalies?

Nora continues to believe that it was HER arrival that triggered the Winds of Change, and the calamity they brought; while their timing did coincide with Eva's arrival. I realise that I'm labouring the point, but that NO-one who knew about it, seems to have thought for a moment that tearing open a dangerous rogue Portal, sending a pair of Witches through it, having them return, and leaving a rogue Portal open for decades ... in the Deadwoods ... was enough to trigger the Winds?

Or that the Coven, acting illegally, and irrespinsibly, by opening a said Portal, planning the murder of a Witch *destined* to belong in Eastwind in exactly the same manner as her predecessor, were ACTUALLY responsible for the arrival of the Winds!

Eva's mysterious arrival via a seemingly different Portal is never explained.

Nora's arrival seemed predestined.

The utterly arrogant and irresponsible Coven, then and 'now,' get off without responsibility or accountability.

At least they do to the end of this book. I hope that things are cleared up in the remaing books.

At this point, while the Coven leaders blame Nora for the arrival of the Winds of Change, and while both Nora and Eva felt responsible for fixing the problem? The actual culprits seem to have been the Coven themselves. The fact that this has been unaddressed, is beyond frustrating.

And that's what this book is - frustrating. It was an 'easy read,' but the speed with which Nora 'moves on' is maddening, the entire Donovan relationship was beyond annoying, and the Coven issues infuriating.

I truly hope the next book redeems the series, because if it doesn't genuinely invest in a mystery plot - that doesn't involve a Stringfellow - OR move Nora past whatever self-destructive impulse has her in a relationship with Donovan, I will abandon the series.

Dead Witch Walking #10 - Quirky and yechy. I understand how Nora feels about Giovanni and what she has to do; reminiscent of Hannibal but not the same by a long shot. This gruesome story is not so much about a murder and necromancy, but saving a love. Yeah, the reader goes through all these feelings of yech and gross, and then finds out in the end, it's all about love. Nora didn't even care for the couple, so that says a lot about her. Intriguing and interesting, this story picks up three months after Hallow's Faire ends. I contacted Ms. Nelson to review her books. 4*

Eastwind Witches:
Eastwind Witches - I love these kinds of witches; nothing mean or nasty but tough when needed. My friend had these three books and we spent a day reading and laughing about the characters and the happenings. Funny, entertaining and well written, the stories are strong enough to keep the reader immersed in the pages, but with a simple storytelling style. The characters grow as the pages fly by and there's no Stupid Formula, just plain entertainment. Surprise, no vulgar language or cussing. Plus, you'll love Ted; sorry no spoilers. Little editing needed but not much.

Crossing Over Easy #1 - I love these kinds of witch stories. This is our first book by this author; my friend and I read her copies during one of our get-together weekends. We both had fun with them. Easily and quickly read, COE was funny and interesting. The characters are funny and entertaining; the story line was entertaining; and the dialog and actions weren't of the stupid variety. Even without a friend's comments, this book is good for relaxation or something simple but entertaining. Did I mention the book was entertaining. OK, I'm not funny, but Nova is a lot. 5*

Death Metal #2 - This book starts three months after Crossing Over Easy ended. We loved the dialog; it was almost as if we were doing the talking. Well written, funny and entertaining, the pages flew by as we laughed our way to the end. The characters are filling out more, including Eastwind, and their dialog is extremely entertaining. Nora is discovering more about herself and the perks and dangers of being a Fifth Wind witch. 5*

Third Knock The Charm #3 - This book begins two weeks after Death Metal ends. This time no one is killed, but many other things are happening instead. Funny, entertaining and this time filled with lots of sexual tension. My favorite character is the Library, which I wish all readers had access to one of their own. Ms. Nelson writes well, describes vividly and add humor in abundance. My friend and I just laughed ourselves silly about the message of sexual harassment is wrong, but physical assault is OK. Nope, we didn't disagree on half of that message, but we come from a time of real sexual harassment where slapping hands or faces was a must; now it's a crime to defend yourself. 5*

Queso de los Muertos #4 - Another well written, intriguing but quickly read Eastwind tale. Fast paced, entertaining and a touch of sexual tension, this is a good addition to the series. It's nice the author doesn't use vulgar language or explicit sex, but uses humor and well thought out storylines. The characters remain interesting and their dialog believable. There's no stupid formula in this series. I could use a bowl of queso and handmade chips. I contacted the author to review her books since I enjoyed the first three. 5*

Psych Out #5 - Wow, we've a few twists to the plot! This book isn't a cliffhanger, but it will fun to find out what's happening with Nora in the next book. Well written, intriguing and with a few kinks added to mix, along with more development of the characters. The plot is really intense near the end of the story and there's a few laughs along the way. Plus, the sexual tension is still running amok. 5*

Gone Witch #6 - Imagine the sexual tensions with three guys available, poor Nora. Another well written, fast paced plot filled with intrigue and suspense. Along with humor, there's a build up for a bad future ahead for Eastwind. Changes are already taking place, especially with several characters. Once started, this story was hard to put down. 5*

Love Spells Trouble #7 - What a neat spell, but what terrible residuals. Another fun and magical book. There's all kinds of characters from the past, along with trouble for the future. The storyline was pretty good and there's plenty of sexual tension and then some. There's plenty of intrigue and suspense to go with the tension and the humor. One of the characters leaves and I hated to see him go, but the ending still works just fine. 5*

Storm A-Brewin' #8 - Storm picks up a week later from when Love Spells Trouble ended. This is a very good story! All our favorite and not so favorite characters are dealing with a lot of hatred with certain businesses being targeted. The story mirrors the reverse discrimination that's so prominent in the news, but at least the book is interesting and with humor. 5*

Hallow's Faire in Love and War #9 - I completely love this series and Hallow's is full of twists and surprises. Nora gets a rude awakening and a visit from the past that has her head spinning, not literally, and she pays dearly. The storylines are intriguing and the continuous ones from previous books mesh well with this book's plot. The same likable, and some not so likable, crew makes their contributions to keeping the reader's interest, while the new characters add to the mix. There's nothing like having his parents float in while you're in bed undressed. Complete with humor, along with the sad parts, this well rounded story is a good addition to the series. Start with book one, else you're missing the continuously growing foundation that this series is built upon and you will not get the full value of this series. I contacted the author to read her books. 4*

Dead Witch Walking #10 - Quirky and yechy. I understand how Nora feels about Giovanni and what she has to do; reminiscent of Hannibal but not the same by a long shot. “One of these days, I would learn to be professional.”

In this book, the tenth in the Eastwind Witch series, Nora and Giovanni are dancing around a relationship that is developing since their significant others disappeared. Have they thought this through? Are Tanner and Eva really gone? Can they fully explore how they feel about each other and can they/should they move on from what has happened?

Nora’s been in Eastwind a whole year now. Is this a good thing? She’s made a lot of friends, as well as a few enemies. Her life in Eastwind beats her old life big time. Is her attraction to Donovan Stringfellow worth giving into?

Speaking of Donovan, why did his brother Leonardo, who saw Eastwind as a rear-view mirror town, just arrive for a visit with his “fiancée” Serena, an elf, to show her where he came from. Made no sense to any other family member, but he does have a hidden agenda of some kind. When they all gather at the Stringfellows’ home and dinner is interrupted by news that “uncle Giovanni” has died and no one seems to really care, Nora scratches her head, but goes along to help figure out what happened. Yes, he died. Yes, Ted’s doing his job. But.....where’d the body go?

Nora’s still learning about what it means to be a Fifth Wind with all the consequences of her job. Is there still ANOTHER Fifth Wind around...because face it, Ruby didn’t do this, and Nora hasn’t a clue...and Ted’s all upset because he can’t really do his job without the body. What is going on?

After 9 previous books, you wonder if Nova Nelson could spin another story out of Eastwind. With Dead Witch Walking, she finds new and exciting facets within every character she has created, and leaves you just wanting more. I highly recommend this book and this series for pure paranormal escapism. 5/5

As always cannot wait to read this series. GRIM!! I missed you. I was just thinking about you when this arrived. YAY!!!! BTW, Happy Deathiversary!

Was so happy to see Grim again. I love Grim. But I have a bone to pick with you and Nora. How could you do that to poor Monster? I understand that you'll are sad about the loss of Tanner and Eva, you need to help Monster and Eva's familiars. Share the grief together. Remember that Tanner and Eva are not really gone ; just someplace where you cannot go.

Nora and Donovan might just be a bit too soon. Only three months! How long does it take a spell or charm to wear off. I am still waiting to find out why everything went Tanner's way. That is why I think it might be too soon, even though Nora will come to a decision. However...

Even with that all going on, Nora has to help Donovan's family and help solve a murder. To do this she must learn a new skill from Ruby way before her time. Maybe Nora should read more of Ruby's books. She seems to learn what she needs as it happens.

Now if you want to understand what all this means , you will probably have to read the previous books. If you start with this one first, you could get by and fall in love with the characters. However, I think you will definitely want to read the others just so you can follow all the personal drama.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

Three Fifths

Family time is pretty intense for Donovan and when Nora and he stumble upon his older brother, Leonardo, and his elven fiancée, Serena, in a deep and difficult conversation after hours at Ezra's shop "Donny" is not looking forward to more of it.

It's clear to Nora that something is off, golden boy Leonardo, supposedly wealthy is staying at the Ram's Head a rather salubrious joint, and apparently had no intention of announcing his visit until he was caught out. But her suspicious mind has to wait when mid family meal Stu Manchester turns up to ask for assistance to identify the body of Giovanni Stringfellow Donovan's uncle. As Nora is there she's drawn into the investigation into the death from the very beginning and when Giovanni's body vanishes while they are discussing the situation she's not about to let it go.

The twists and turns will keep her puzzled and the imminent threat to both her own and Ruby's safety will only make her more determined to master the skills necessary to solve the case.

Really miss Tanner.. Donovan is just not as satisfying a partner and I would add that the same argument, trying to avoid a spoiler, should really apply to both Nora and Donovan over their recent losses which almost creates a plot hole!! Really Grim could have easily been more involved.. several times there were opportunities to give him his own little dash of love and romance..

5th Wind Nora and Donovan, a witch are trying to move on after losing their loves to a portal to the other world. While Nora and Donovan are getting together, they are still so conflicted and have trouble moving past their hurt. But to keep them busy and a little crazy, Donovan's older brother, Leonardo shows up in town with his beautiful elf fiance only to be lauded over by their parents making Donovan the lowly unsuccessful son. There is a reason Donovan kept his distance from his family and Nora finds out the hard way. Then to add to the mystery, of course there is a dead body which happens to be Giovanni, Donovan's uncle. When Nora goes in to check the body out with Stu the town cop, the body is missing. Could Nora be responsible? After all there are only 2 fifth wind witches, she and Ruby her teacher/friend. Will this throw a wrench in the budding romance between Nora and Donovan? And will Donovan's brother Leonardo responsible for his uncle's death? And what is the shadow that seems to be following Nora? So many questions, so many red-herrings and so many missteps. Will Nora be able to figure out what happened? Will she have to use a newly learned power to help her? What does Ruby teach Nora and does it help? I love this series. I can't wait to see what will happen next. I received and ARC but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

There is craziness afoot in Eastwind again!!!!!!!!!!!I just love reading these books about Nora, Grim, Ted and all the other quirky residents of Eastwind. As you read each book in the series, if your like me you find yourself getting more and more wrapped up in this town that is in Nova Nelson's mind but feels so real when you are reading. As usual "Dead Witch Walking" book 10 does not disappoint. Nora and Donovan are tip toeing around where their relationship is concerned. One minute it's on and the next it isn't. Although they have a strong attraction to each other, they still miss Tanner and Eva, which is understandable, as it's only been 3 months since they disappeared through the portal. Family members come to town, there is a death, the body goes missing. Just how did it slip away from Ted, who was there to collect it, and how? Nora doesn't want to be involved but it looks as if she has no choice in the matter. And did she just see another hellhound? Guess you will have to read the book to get the answers and there is so much more going on. I found this to be a very can't put it down kind of book, but so far all 10 have been. I just like this series so much, that when a new book comes out, I read it before anything else. I hope there are many books in this series in my future. I received an ARC from the author and am leaving a review because I want to.

So good it deserves 10 stars

Whenever there’s a new book out in the Eastwind Witches series, I immediately bump it to the top of my TBR list. I just drop everything and read. Read. Read.

The first sentence, and it was like coming home. Aaah this feels good. I’m back among friends.

It’s the one-year anniversary of Nora’s death. This is what Grim has to say about that: “It was one year ago today that you crashed the Deadwoods and forced me into servitude.” LOL.

Oh, this was SO good. Made me dance in my seat with excitement. I was reading with a big smile on my face. Nova Nelson has a certain writing style that’s full of sarcasm and dry humor, and I love it. It made me wanna turn those pages so fast it’ll cause a storm in Eastwind.

I did miss Tanner. Missed him dearly. Could hardly stand the fact she goes on a date with Donovan. Yes, I’m team Tanner all the way, and my heart broke along with Nora’s. But now hers seems to be starting to heal, just a bit, so I’ll have to be happy for her. And I am! Oh, I like Donovan just fine, I just don’t think he’s the one for Nora. Oh, how I care about my bookfriends :)

Donovan’s nothing-is-good-enough-for-him elder brother Leonardo turns up with his beautiful elf fiancée, Serena and of course, the parents cannot get enough of him, and starts comparing the brothers, upsetting Donovan no end. And that was even before the dead body turned up….

I love the ambiguity that Nora feels about Tanner and Donovan. I think that Nova has got to a T – the fact that Tanner was the first man that Nora fell in love with and still loves, but can no longer have and Donovan who she has always been attracted to, even when she was with Tanner. What a difficult place to be in and how does one move on without the guilt, knowing that Tanner still alive and probably still loving her or does one just not move on and wait and hope that somehow Tanner comes back? Can’t wait for the next book! I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Nora and Donovan are trying to move forward together after their mutual loss of Tanner and Eva. Nothing is easy however - Donovan's dysfunctional family is creating a problem. His brother shows up out of the blue acting suspiciously and then there's the murder of an uncle with the mysterious disappearance of his body before law enforcement even arrives at the scene - you know Nora can't help but investigate that! But there is a bigger problem abrewin' in Eastwind - another rare Fifth Wind is in town and not with good intentions. I find this series to be very entertaining - I am always happy to revisit Eastwind and the great cast of characters that the author has created - Ted the Reaper especially tickles my funny bone but there are plenty of others that are favorites too! A fun read that I highly recommend.

Oh Nora, the trouble you can get into. And this time it wasn't your fault. She really had to dig deep into those 5th wind powers this time. Thank goodness Ruby is a master at those powers too. I can't wait to see what else happens between Nora and Donovan. Will Tanner and Eva come back to Eastwind? Will there be a book about Tanner and Eva's adventures in the "real world"? I can't wait to see what Nova does next with everyone. This is one of my favorite book series! I highly recommend you read all the books. You will get lost in this sweet lil town that's full of magic, mystery and mayhem.

With all the baggage that Nora and Donovan have between them, they really don't need Donovan's family baggage adding to it. A family dinner with Donovan's parents and his visiting brother and his brother's fiance is just asking for trouble. We all know Nora doesn't need to ask for trouble it will find her soon enough. A murdered uncle (Donovan's) and a disappearing corpse soon follow.

In addition to this mystery, Nova Nelson hints at other mysterious possibilities in Nora's personal life. No spoilers here, you'll have to read it for yourself.

I received this book as an ARC and am happy to give an honest review.

Fascinating and Magical Fun Continues!
In this latest installment we get to know more about the backgrounds, inclinations, and secrets of both some of our favorite major characters, and also (previously) minor players. Feelings and fears are exposed, and as always, surprises abound. Our feeling that Nora, our beloved Fifth Wind, has incredible untapped powers is further intensified. I'm waiting to be truly awed in future stories! Danger, mystery, magic and romance... all written in a way that makes you want to get another cup of coffee, tea, or other caffeinated beverage to read to conclusion. Please hurry with next installment!

Nora has lost Tanner 3 months ago now she's trying to move on with life and dating with a special someone Donovan he may be a little grumpy but hes supper hot and they have history. But what happens when Donovan's brother shows up I'll tell you a very uncomfortable family dinner and a dead body but at least they didn't die from food poisoning. And then the body up and disappears how did that happen i think Nora mite need to work on her zombie control powers. But I'm sure Nora will figure it all out in time if the new fifth wind dosen't put a stop to our quirky sleuth.

In book 10 we learn why Donovan is not a huge family person, and it's completely understandable. That said, when push comes to shove, he does come rushing in to aid his brother from danger.
The count Malvic is his charming self and enjoys stirring up self-doubting in Nora as she tries to solve the death of Donovan's uncle and whether or not Donovan played a part in Tanner jumping into the Earth realm.
Very good book, but best to start with the first in the series.
I received this as an ARC for my honest review. I have enjoyed all of the books and do recommend them.

Two key characters seem to be missing from the scene in this 10th East Wind witches book. Are they really gone? and will their lovers indulge in new romantic interests? This book poses lots of questions and kept my attention while I eagerly waited for the answers. I always enjoy the intriguing situations Nora Ashcroft finds herself in. If you like paranormal mysteries with lots of twists, be sure and pick up a copy of Nova Nelson Dead Witch Walking. I received an advanced review copy and wanted to leave a review so you can enjoy the book too.

Nora and Donovan continue to get closer. When Donovan’s uncle is murdered we get a better insight into his parents! As an added bonus we get to meet his brother, Leonardo and his fiancé. No worries Nora is on the case with Grim. It was an interesting story and also advanced Nora’s character as well. If you are looking for an interesting quick read this is the book and series for you! It adds just the right amount of humor and serious moments. I really enjoyed this book and this series and highly recommend both!

Nora and Donovan's relationship is still in it's beginning. Donovan's long lost brother turns up in town with an elf fiancé, his uncle is murdered and the body appears to have got up and walked away. Deputy Stu enlists Nora's help, especially as it appears like necromancy is involved - and this is the area of expertise of a fifth wind witch. As far as is known, there are only two fifth wind witches in town - Nora and Ruby - or is there another one they don't know about?

This series is just so much fun! I'm so glad I fell into it!

It's Nora's one year anniversary of dying (or whatever it is she did) and the challenges just keep on coming.

This is a fun, light series. It's clean (okay, some occasional very mild innuendo) and something that's easy to recommend! Some missed characters, but a plot that's entertaining and enjoyable.

This book was a gift and I am definitely on the plus side of recommendations! You need to buy this one!

At first I thought I knew exactly what the title referred to. You see, Nora had to die in her world to end up in Eastwind. Oh boy was I wrong! This is another great book in the series. There's a murder and Nora just has to investigate. There's a lot of crazy good scenes and even something Grim is afraid of. I don't do spoilers, so I'll just say I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. It's my favorite kind of cozy.

Excellent book. I love this series and Ms. Nelson is a fabulous author. I highly recommend anything she writes. Follow Nora and all the zany characters of Eastwind as they solve a murder and the body just up and walked away. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy this book along with all the rest in this series.

Love this series. Nora seems to find trouble no matter where she goes. Besides being followed by ghosts she has to contend with all manner of creatures. Being dead can be a real downer. This book was a fun romp through Eastwind and all the crazy and exotic characters. Love sheriff Bloom, who would turn down having an angel for your sheriff.

Nova has a one-of-a-kind storyelling ability, and she created these books that are so much fun to read! While most of the book has a light heart and some truly hilarious moments, there are some beautifully delicate moments. Nora and Donovan are trying to figure out the whole relationship thing after Tanner and Eva, and Nora gets to meet Donovan’s super “fun” family (laughs galore!).

Great addition to the series!

This series just keeps getting better! Can Nora and Donovan work thru their past? Why does Donovan keep his family at arms length? Did Nora raise Donovan's uncle Giovanni from the dead? So much going on in this one! Once I start reading one of these, I just can't put it down! Can't wait for the next book!

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.

Such a fun book!

I think this book is my favorite from the series, so far. All of the books are excellent, and I highly recommend each and every one! These books are the perfect length for a lovely "vacation" or escape when you just want to get away from the every day grind. I highly recommend this book, as well as the entire series. Grab a copy, I don't think you will be disappointed!

This is book 10 of the EastWind series.
Book 9 had some serious life changes in it.
In this book, the new changes continue to grow
and with the addition of some new characters,
and the loss of others, it continues.
There is drama, murder, general mayhem,
necromancy and the dash of romance included.

Donovan's brother and his fiance turns up in town. Then there is a murder, but the body has gone missing!
Making the dead walk falls in Nora and Ruby's expertise. However they did not do it.
Then things go to hell in a hand basket!
