description Lexi C. Foss is a new "to me" author. If I am correct, she normally writes paranormal romance, and this was her first foray into the romantic suspense genre. Well, let me just say that this reader hopes she has plans to write many more romantic suspense books because this one was PERFECTION! There was legit not one thing I didn't like about it.

If you follow my reviews you know that I can be a picky bitch, and there is usually always something I wish were different. Even in most of my 5 Star reads. But from start to finish this was an enjoyable and amazing read.

description
So on to the deets...the writing was OUTSTANDING in this book. It was well paced. I loved that it was on the longer side and the plot and characters felt fully developed. The plot itself was engaging and full of twists and turns. It was dark(ish) <---I read some seriously fucked up books so other readers may find it darker. The sex scenes were smokin' hot. The on page chemistry between Killian and Amara was SIZZLING. There was no OW drama or OM drama. I loved seeing Niko from Cora Kenborn's DARKEST DEEDS. Amara was one of the best heroine's I have ever read. Homegirl was STRONG and FEISTY. Her past will break your heart, but it didn't break her. Killian was equally awesome. I loved that he wasn't a manwhore (yay). He was sexy and domineering. But he was also sweet, and his love for Amara made my heart melt. Last, it was all wrapped in a super excellent ending.

And as I said in my review for Darkest Deeds...I loved it. I recommend it. I also want to thank Miz Foss for gifting me a copy of this book after a rather unpleasant run-in saw me being banned from the reviewer list for this series. She is a class act and a total sweetheart.

This was such a thrilling ride with twists and turns galore one that I enjoyed immensely.
This author is now a firm favourite of mine and whenever I start one of her stories I always know I'm in for a treat.
So having previously gorged on her paranormal series like back to back reading I was super interested to see what she would bring to the table with this particular genre switch.
And Bravo, this was fantastic stuff from start to finish showing this author's complete diversity.
I am starting to believe she could write Hallmark greetings and I would be sold every single time.
I haven't read anything yet that Ive disliked from her a definite auto-buy author for me now.
So, from the moment I picked "Scarlet Mark" up, I was transfixed and invested.
This can be read as a standalone no issue and on the dark scale, this for me was maybe a 4.
Do bear in mind though this is my dark scale and I have read some super messed up stories so my dark rating might vary a lot from yours.
This is Killian and Amara's story and the chemistry between these two was certainly off the charts.
Even when they first met and she was just his mark you needed a fire extinguisher to put out the flames these two generated and the things this man liked to do with a knife, let's just say knife play has never been a thing for me I am now a definite convert, super hot.
Killian was mysterious and lethal with a take-charge persona that I really appreciated.
I loved that he called her his kitten, it gave me chills and totally appreciated his devilish and wicked side when he brought it out to play.
Amara's back story itself was harsh but it only showcased her strength of spirit and pure resilience that after what she had been subjected to she still stood strong and capable, weathering the storm.
I also loved the way he treated her as his equal valuing her opinion and capabilities while still trying to protect and cosset her in his own unique way.
Because of her experiences, there were times Amara retreated into herself a part of her slightly broken by her past this is where Killian really did come into his own and I really didn't doubt his regard and affection towards his kitten.
She brought out a tender nurturing side he didn't even know he possessed and you could practically inhale the pure emotion that projected of the page.
I also adored that final finale it was super satisfying.
This was a fantastic read with some fabulously well-developed characters and there wasn't actually anything here that I disliked this ticked every single one of my boxes.
This one gets my definite wholehearted seal of approval.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Scarlet Mark.

"This man I hardly knew, this assassin sent to retrieve me, had me panting beneath his hands after a few mere strokes of his blade."

DUDE! I'm seriously loving these books. Just like the other new-to-me-authors in this series, I've fell in love with the writing in each story. Every author has brought their style to the table and have left a lasting impression. Lexi C. Floss is no different. And I'll say this again, I probably wouldn't have read this author if I hadn't signed up to review the whole shebang. I'd go as much to say that she wrote this story effortlessly. I don't know if all the assassin's are to catch their mark, but I do know, this by far is probably my favorite, as far as captive suspense goes. I probably said that last time, too. What do you want? I love me some bad guys with a spark of light.

“I’m a knight of death, sweetheart. Cavalieri Della Morte. There’s twelve of us. Thirteen including Arthur.”

Okay, I'm like, there's no way I'm gonna love another one of these trained killers. Not that I don't love the dark ones, they're my favorite. It's the whole, no way, can I love another one of these dark guys, because you know, you always have your favorites, and I'm completely confused to who I love more at this point. LOL Wrong. I was wrong. Dagger is one helluva tease. Seducing his way into my heart. Slicing and dicing until I'm goo. He's all dark swagger. And not because there's a thousand sex scenes, it's his dagger piercing through my hard shell, Guys! He reached in and tore through the ugly and made me feel. I totally wrote this like I was the heroine. 🤣 Meaning, I felt, I was thoroughly invested and not because the author told me to. The character's spoke with attention, urgency, a need to see the end. I read this book in a DAY!

Amara made this book a five star. I was writing this review with the intention of giving four stars, yet I couldn't bring myself to complete it. Not entirely. I wholeheartedly loved her. It was hard to read what she'd been through, but it was necessary to the story. I loved how the author gave a glimpse into depravity, but focused on the present. The perfect balance. A warrior. All the breathing through her story. Which made this book even better.

Romantic suspense is one of my favorites, and this author delivers a dagger to your throat feel. A perfect amount of dark passion and without a doubt, a twist that with leave your jaw dropping. I recommend you read this addition to The Calivari Della Morte!

I'll definitely be checking out this author's other books, because I like PNR sometimes.

Scarlet Mark was so so haunting. It was also dark and twisted and so very delicious. I was pulled into this wicked world that left me aching and heartsore one moment and then positively intrigued in the next.

Scarlet Mark is about Amara Rose who has run away from a horrific life. Escaping was her only choice. Her fiancé is a very powerful man who has the mean to hire The Cavalieri Della Morte to find her. Killian Bedivere is tasked with this assignment. He never lets a mark distract him but Amara aka Scarlet is temptation in its purest form. Killian only has one mission, getting Amara back to her fiancé but things don’t go as planned. Amara is proving to be quite the formidable opponent and his need for her is growing every second. Finding out Amara’s truth is what breaks his final resolve.

My heart wept for Amara. She endured so much yet she couldn’t turn to anyone. She was so strong and brave. She went through so much yet she did not break. She was a fierce vixen who was intent on destroying the people who caused her pain. Killian awakened a part of her she thought lay dormant. She should be afraid of him because he was hired to bring her back to her fiancé and he is a trained assassin but she hungers for him. He made her feel powerful and deeply aroused.

I have not read all the books in the Cavalieri Della Morte Series but I’m glad this book made it on my tbr pile. Lexi Foss has definitely left a lasting impression with this book.

I will review this entire series when I have a chance. It’s such a gorgeous series. Definitely recommend. Oh my god. They are all worth re reading. Except for the very sad one. Which I won’t spoil cause it made me cry. Will review! Sorry about the ranting I’m awake at five am. Not a good fix for me.

I believe this is the author's first foray into Romantic Suspense, and all I can say is WOW, because this book was nothing short of brilliant.

The writing is fluid, the story utterly believable, the fight scenes so well done that they played out like a movie in my head.

Yes it's dark. Yes the subject matter is uncomfortable, but the author deals with it so incredibly well, Amara's past told through a series of flashbacks and inner dialogue that, while detailed in parts, are not graphic. They don't make you shudder and close the book, desperate for a break from the horror on the page. I give the author a well-deserved pat on the back for that.

Killian was a terrifically rounded character. Yes he changes and grows in parallel to his growing attraction to Amara, but by the end, he's fundamentally the same assassin we're introduced to at the beginning. I loved that the author didn't diminish him simply because of Amara.

I'd love to hear more from these characters. Whatever Lexi C. Foss decides to do in the future, I do hope she writes more in this genre—because she ROCKED it.

Scarlet Mark by Lexi C. Foss is book 8 in the Cavalieri Della Morte Series. This is the story of Amara 'Scarlet' Rose and Killian 'Dagger' Bedivere. I have yet to read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Killian is one of the assassins that work at Cavalieri Della Morte but he has been assigned to find a runaway bride who has taken something from the former groom. Trying to find Amara took a little time but when he does find her doubts slowly start setting in about her and his feelings start to grow. Amara has had a very abusive past and has been misused. When she couldn't take it anymore Amara went on the run and hiding out where she thought she would be found. But Killian is the one that does find her and the one that might be able to help her fight for her survival.
This was definitely a page turner for me. I am a fan of Ms. Foss so this was a must read but now that I have been introduced to this series I do want to back track to read the other books.

4.5 Stars ~ Jess

This was a perfect addition to this series. Each book is different but all have this same dark feel to them. Scarlet's Mark was no different. Killian aka Dagger, is one of Arthur's men. His mission is to find a woman who is not at all what he expected. Trying to find her takes him all over the world. Once he finally finds her, he finds a woman with nothing to lose and sometimes those are the most dangerous types of people.

Amara aka Scarlet literally has nothing to lose. She has been planning her escape for a long time and she refuses to be bested by anyone. She is fierce and smart. She has spent her life doing everyone else's bidding but those days are over unless it is Killian giving the orders.

This is my first read by this author but she created a story right in my wheelhouse. It was twisted and suspenseful. Dark and dirty with smart characters. The story was one that took me on a journey, not only across the world but also through this really interesting underworld. It took me some time to wrap my head around the way it all came together at the end and it was certainly not something that I expected. I can't wait for the final books in this series but also can't wait to see what this author does next.

Killian and Amara's story is so intense! It's wicked and arousing. It's evil and gritty and gruesome. Killian is a perfect soldier. Ruthless, domineering and never misses his mark until her. Amara is an incredibly strong woman. Reading of her past and seeing some of the regressions trying to take her back broke my heart. But, it didn't break her. Their storyline was amazing and not at all how you think the story is going to go. I loved that Niko from Cora Kenborn's Darkest Deeds made an appearance in this book. This whole series of Cavalieri Della Morte books are impressive, mind twisting must reads!

As far as I know, this is the first attempt to write A Romantic Suspense by Ms. Foss. First one and it's BRILLIANT! I would never guess it was done by the first timer!
Killian and Amara are a blast together! They are like two twisted half of the same apple. Each is strong on their own but together they are a force that will seal anyone fate if they wanted to.
Another wonderful addition to Cavalieri Della Morte series/

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Killian "Dagger" Bedivere: My latest assignment has evolved into a game of deciphering who to trust--the renowed politician who hired the Cavalieri Della Morte, or the runaway bride? She's gorgeous, conniving, and everything I crave in a woman. She's also my target. Rule number one: Never fall for a mark. Rule number two: Forget rule number one.
Amara "Scarlet" Rose: I never wanted this world, but the decision wasn't mine to make. I always belonged to him. Now there's a new player on the board- one determinded on destroying all of my plans. Hh's lethal, handsome, and everyting I should fear. Rule nuber one: Don't trust anyone. Rule number two: DO everyting you can to survie, even if it means breaking rule number one. This is another amazing book in the Cavalieri Della Morte Series. This is too my first book by Lexi Floss and I really really loved it. These storeis grabl you from page one and do not let you go until the very end. These men as badbutts but under it al have hearts of gold and want to protect and make these women theirs. This book is about Killian and Amara and it is dark, intense and smoking hot. Iloved every second of it. I never read the descriptions of these books I just dive in and I think that is he best way to do it. If you like dark intense series then you need to read these book. They are all equally amazing. But, Scarlet Mark will do down as one of my favorites.

Is anyone else absolutely addicted to the Cavalieri Della Morte series? If you do not know this is a collection of books written by different writers but include the same baseline group and few characters being shared. I love it because I get to read new authors and Lexi Foss is absolutely excellent.

Amara and Killian are like two twisted peas in a pod. Both had completely different upbringings to make them the people that they are now, I am talking about like SUPER different upbringings, but also understanding the other.

This tale is dark with killers and trafficking and a few other triggers that people might want to stay way from, but guys, if that is your jam you need to read this book right now! I was blown away by how good the story line was. It was clearly laid out what the goal was throughout the majority of the book and of course there are a few bombs, but it does not deviate from the plan.

Killian and Amara have a scorching heat between the two of them that is not only hot to read but also extremely interesting to read about their interactions.

I highly recommend this book and enjoyed it!

PS: I received this book as an ARC but am voluntarily and truthfully reviewing it.

This story is dark. Seriously dark. If you have triggers with violence, abuse, trafficking, or knife play then don’t read it. If you want to read about a seriously strong heroine learning to live with and overcome the hellacious start to life she has had, this story will deliver in spades.

Amara is a runaway “bride”. Running from a Congressman with a potentially less that clean and squeaky past. She disappears on their wedding day, leaving him to call on the Cavalieri to track her down.

Killian “Dagger” is the one sent to retrieve her. An assassin of wealth and name, but lethal ability. He is married to his job and loves a challenge. One Amara provides in spades.

After escaping him on their first meeting, the chase is on, and the intrigue and suspense begin. I never knew a dagger could be so sexy, but in the hands of Killian, *fans self*, ooh boy! Once I started, I really did not want to put the book down. The sparks fly, the chemistry is amazing, the characters come to life on the page. The author kept my attention from the start! My only complaint, I want more!

⎯» Rating: 4.25 Stars
⎯» Genre: Dark Romantic Suspense
⎯» POV: Dual—First Person

”Her battered soul lurked in her gaze, calling to me to soothe her, to show her that not everyone in this world was evil.”

Wow. Lexi C. Foss didn’t pull any punches when it came to telling Amara and Killian’s story. This is a truly dark romance, set in the depraved and blood soaked underbelly of the world’s elite.

Amara was a truly compelling heroine. She has not only survived hell, but managed to escape without losing sight of herself. Her tenacity for life paired with her dedication to getting her revenge on the monsters from her past made her the perfect partner for Killian.

”He wasn’t my knight. He wasn’t my savior. He was merely Killian. My Killian.”

I can’t definitively label Killian as a hero or anti-hero. His past isn’t brutal like Amara’s, having grown up with a loving family, which affords him the ability to see some of the good in the world. He does have a dark side to him though, which he unleashes on his unsavory marks in his job as an assassin. His violent tendencies make him a bit crazy, but paired with his protectiveness, he is perfect for Amara.

”Amara was quite literally my queen. And I her king. Equals, but not. She mastered me in ways I never expected, just as I brought her to heel beneath me, guiding her body as if it were my own.”

Oh Wow Lexi who knew that you are soo good at writing dark and dangerous books, but saying that i should of known as i love your writing weather it be PNR OR contemporary, but wow you excelled yourself with this book from the Cavalieri Della Morte,as this is the third book i have read from different authors, and i thought i would just say Killian is MINE!!.

This was a fast paced thriller of a story where you won't want to come up for breath with all the action and twists that are in abundance, and have i said this is dark,it is and i love a dark read plus the sex in this book is HOT! Phew! Lexi is so good at sex scenes that it was smoking, as in smoking hot!!,and the chemistry between Killian and Amara was sizzling,it was off the charts hot, holy freaking moly.

Amara has a awful past that could break your heart with what she was put through and made to do,but she is a strong and feisty woman who leans how to take care of herself until Killiian tracks her down as she is his mark to deliver back to her tormentor. She is not what he had believed her to be a con artist and the more he hears of her past the more disgusted he gets.

This was a intriguing plot with lots of suspense and action that drags you along for the ride of your life with these two characters, this book is additive and explosive in the story telling that this amazing author takes you on,Lexi is a awesome author and she delivered,oh boy did she deliver, this book is just pure brilliance.

What always fascinates me with this author is that she isn’t afraid to go dark. She isn’t afraid to go into a depravity that some authors could only dream to tread.

To me, I imagine her walking down a white path, both sides of this path is water, a pool of some sort and on one side it is the safe zone, lifeguards aplenty incase you fall in and the other side, the danger zone. And I imagine that whilst she’s walking this line, she’s dipping her toe into the murky depths of the danger zone, the one filled with depravity, with the darkness and the lost souls, knowing full well that it’d be better, easier & less hassle to stay on the safe side. But what does this author do? She dips her toe every so often on the dark side and hums and smiles maniacally whilst she does it. And I for one bloody love it.

Take Scarlet Mark for instance. It’s about assassins and killing and bloodshed. But it’s so much more than that too. It’s tension, it’s dark, it’s ominous, it’s crazy, it’s sharp, it’s full bodied.

I have it on good authority that this is the authors first delve into romantic suspense but I don’t think it will be her last. She has a panache for this style of writing. Her character personalities are diverse. Killian is so much more than a “typical” assassin. He holds intrigue and a likability even though he can be one sick SOB when it comes to his relationship with Amara.

But do we hate him because of his dark tendencies? Do we hell, and do you know why? Because the author writes him in such a way you forgive all his sins. You overlook his need to dominate, his need to give in to his urges. But is this author happy to just stop there? No she is not. She makes it so that Amara is as equally dark & intriguing. And that people is what keeps you invested.

Sometimes a story comes along that you just know you’re going to remember. Scarlet Mark is just that book for me. Highly, highly recommend!

When an author steps away from their normal and nails it...

Lexi doesn't write dark. I mean she does but not like this. This was DARK. Scarlet Mark is phenomenal. I so enjoy when an author takes a chance and does something completely new and nails it.
Strong characters, both of them, we don't get a female that's strong because of the male, we get a strong female on her own who becomes a bad a** when she finally meets her match. For me that is so important and Lexi managed to write Amara in a way that have honor to women's strength. And Killian, he, I liked him even before he realized Amara was important. He has a determination that we don't always see in our men.

Fantastic story line. Defewasnt ready for it to end. And the end, the epilogue, Lexi didn't give a traditional ending for Killian and Amara. She kept this so true to the type of couple that they are. I really enjoyed Scarlet Mark, so much so that I'll definitely go read the other books in the Cavalieri Della Morte series.

This is the 8th book in this series of books. This one is the best one yet and the darkest out of all the ones so far. But it was gripping intense and enjoyable from beginning to end. It was a well paced well written well detailed book. The writing style from this writer keeps you wanting more. It was a fully developed storyline which made this book even better for me. The chemistry between Killian and Amara is off the charts hot. I absolutely love Amara she is not one of those weak girls you think you would have gotten in a book like this . Nope she is hard core strong and feisty. She gives hard and will take hard. She does have a terrible past but don't think for one minute that she lets it affect her. I love Killian with Amara. He ok yes is a killer but she easily brings out his sexy softer side. I absolutely love these two together. This was just overall one amazing storyline from beginning to end. It had everything you would want in a great book. The ending was amazing. I truly hope she writes more like this

Loved the Cloak and Dagger.

This book definitely hit the Mark. Heart pounding, jaw dropping suspense with an edge of Darkness that made this story an exhilarating page turner from the beginning until the very last page.

Killian 'Dagger' Bedivere OMFG!! A true Dark Knight he's fascinating, handsome, charismatic and uttetly ruthless. He is a lethal blade. who never misses his target. I fuxking loved him.

Dagger may of sung to my lady bits but Amara was the star of this book for me. Forced into a life no one should have to endure she showed amazing strength and determination. I was in awe of this chick, her need for Vengeance made her as ruthless as Dagger a fierce warrior, I bloody adored her.

Dagger and Amara will take you on a wild ride. They have electrifying chemistry and they just spark off each other. Their witty banter was refreshing and fun. They are a deadly combination but perfect for each other. Definitely one of my favourite couples in the series.

I've read many books from Lexi in the past and each one has never disappointed me.
This is Lexi's first venture into Dark Romance and honestly, you are not even able to tell. By reading the Scarlet Mark, you'd think this Author has been around this block many times before; that is how good she is.
Scarlet Mark is everything a Dark Romance promises. A Roller coaster of emotions that you hold on tight for because not all are good. The two main characters are well fleshed out and three dimensional. Neither are spring roses. Each have their thorns and wilted petals.
This love story is not for the faint of heart. The subject matter is very mature and it goes deep, so if you're not into that, then find something else cause this one holds no punches.
I'd definitely like to read more of these characters on their own and more of the Cavalieri della Morte series as a whole.

I am starting to believe that Lexi C. Foss is not of this world. This book is her first journey into the world of romantic suspense, and she mastered it so thoroughly that I am convinced that she's magical. Killian is so deliciously dark, and such a such a super hot bad boy with a penchant for playing with knives that you will want to play with him long after the story ends. Amara is such a beautifully broken heroine that watching him heal her is equal parts heart breaking and heart mending. The story has some dark themes, and deals with human trafficking, so be warned if those are triggers for you. But if you enjoy watching people find love even when they are in dark places, read this one today, and you won't be sorry.

Her dark knight❣️

Dagger’s skill set is to locate people that disappear. When he’s given the assignment to locate Amara, it’s not until later that he realises that he’s bitten off more than he can chew. Firstly, it takes him a few weeks to locate her and then when he does....things take a different path. Finally, when they do meet again...he’s not as certain as he was when he took the assignment.

This book is a dark and twisty tale that will keep you enthralled to the very end. I have to admit I tried to spread it out over a few days so that I didn’t finish it too quickly, but I have to admit that Lexi outdid herself writing this one...it was absolute perfection😍

A big thank you to Lexi for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review.

Killian is an assassin who is on the hunt for Amara, a run away bride who stole a pile of money from her fiancé, he’s to track her down and bring her back. Hiding in an exclusive sex club, Amara works and thought she was well hidden until the mysterious and sexy assassin Killian smokes her out. She has no intention of ever going back to her ex-fiancé. Will Killian believe her horrendous story or will his loyalty to the Cavalieri hold true.
A very intriguing plot, twist and turns, lots of dark action and thrills galore. The leads were very well developed, especially liked Killian, he was very charismatic and the love action was steaming.
A brilliant story, and a definite must read, I couldn’t put it down.
I highly recommend this book!

I am completely bias here because Lexi is one of my favourite authors and she is the only reason that I even read this series but this book was by far the best in the entire series. This book had so much more depth not just from the characters but the story itself. A few of the books in the series feel like the same story just with different characters but this took it to new level. Killian and Amara were just...no words can describe how amazingly well they fit together (oh and I totally want to claim Killian for my own now!). And that last twist at the end - mind blown!!!

I was provided an ARC and I have gratefully (without one of Killian's knives to my throat) provided an honest review

Intrigue and suspense all rolled up into one deliciously dark, twisty package....meet Killian Bedivere, one of the utterly lethal Cavaliera Della Morte assassins!

Oh this man Killian (heat level 10!), he's ruthless and deadly, dedicated, has a strict moral code, loves the thrill of the chase and never misses his mark. He is all alpha! His latest assignment is not to kill however, but to return a wayward con artist....Amara. He trusts his instincts, but is there more to Amara than meets the eye? Their chemistry is electric, but he will not allow her beauty to distract him from his job......

I loved these two, separately they were both formidable in very different ways, but together they were unstoppable. Amara was so strong, but the heartbreaking things she had been through gave her a vulnerable side and Killian was perfect for her. Lexi did a fantastic job of building their trust and love for each without compromising the strengths of either character. In fact together made them stronger.

I loved this book, I devoured it from the start. It was action packed, fast paced and flowed with lots of depth and suspense and I always rub my hands with glee when Lexi C Foss lets her darker side out to play.

Highly recommend this book and love the fact it intertwines with other books in the series, but absolutely stands on it's own too. I cant wait to read more from this fantastic series!

Killian is an heir of a family fortune, but at 18 years old he committed murder after watching a man beat a woman to death. Arthur is a witness and uses it to blackmail him and this is how the rich heir becomes one of the Cavalieri.
Arthur has a mission for him: kidnap Amara Rose, a young woman who has planted her senator fiancée at the altar and has taken half of his money.
“Three weeks. Three. God. Damn. Weeks. That was how long it took me to track down Amara fucking Rose. The woman had disappeared without a trace, something I usually would have admired if it hadn’t been my task to find her. And to end up here, of all places. Diavolo Rojo. The Diavolo Rojo circuit only hired females with specific backgrounds. Most were young, early twenties, still in school, and looking to socialize with the elite of the world. The women who preferred only social activities wore a special collar. Amara Rose, my target, wasn’t wearing such a collar. Which meant I could proposition her. In any way I desired. It really was a shame that I had to kidnap her or kill her.”

The attraction between them is immediate, although both have missions to accomplish: he has to return her to her fiancée and she has to escape at all costs.
“Rule number one: never fall for the mark. She’s not mine. She could be. Mission first. Fuck the mission.”

“She grew up a slave, trained to serve a future husband. I grew up with loving parents and wanted for nothing. Me, an assassin. Her, a warrior.”
Amara’s life changes when she becomes a teenager, from there she is trained to satisfy the man in bed in any way HE wants, an outside playing the role of a perfect Stepford wife. Her virginity is put up for sale and the senator, her fiancée, turns out to be the winner. He beats her, rapes her, prostitutes her in exchange for info, forces her to kill, let’s his friends do whatever they want with her...
And as soon as Amara tells this to Killian, he begins to doubt his mission.”“But I have one rule—the person has to deserve his or her fate.”

After surviving an ambush, Killian decides to help Amara punish all those who have hurt her and kill all those who still want to do it.
“Reborn. Amara Rose was no longer a job. She wasn’t even a client. She’d just become my lover. And fuck if I wanted to fight it. The woman was made for me. Just as I was made for her. She’s mine. And anyone who tried to take her from me would die. “I don’t mix business and pleasure. Except with you.”“Why break the rules with me?”“Because I want you,”“Because you’re mine.”“For how long?” “Until you say otherwise.”“What if I want you to keep me forever?”“You’ll have no arguments from me, as it’ll take a lifetime to tame you anyway.”

“Killian Bedivere claimed not to be a hero. However, I saw the truth. I saw him, my lethal knight who emboldened and enlightened me. The one who instructed me on how to use my inner spirit effectively and efficiently, to fight. The assassin who trusted me enough with his own secrets to provide me with a glimpse into his dangerous world, and protect me from it at the same time.”

Both characters are magnificent and I would ❤️ to read more about them, it has been a very fun read.
I would also ❤️ a book about Killian’s older brother,HUNTER.
