He bought me to break my body. Instead, he broke my heart. I stumbled into the worst possible place at the worst possible time. And now I’m bent over and bare in my boss’s bed.
I always thought the stories that people told about Luke Hanley were too far-fetched. But when I saw him and his thugs execute a man in an alley, I knew suddenly:
Everything they said was true.
He’s a cold-blooded killer, a ruthless mafia don responsible for every crime in the city. They say he uses women until he’s bored, then disposes of them.
And I’m about to be next.
His soldiers had me bound and gagged as they took me to the don’s penthouse. I figured this would be the end of me. A bullet in the skull and an unmarked grave.
But to my surprise, Luke offers me a deal: He’ll spare my life…
In exchange for my complete and utter submission.
I have to let him use me, bend me, break me as he pleases. And I have to keep my mouth sealed shut.
At first, I’m nothing more than a mafioso’s ragged toy. But as the savage, sweaty nights tick past, something becomes more and more clear to me:
There’s a lonely man behind the mobster mask. And I’m falling hard for him.
BOUGHT is a forbidden lovers, heist romance between a mob boss with a hidden identity and the innocent employee who sees him for who he really is. Their off-limits love contains dark themes, including a heartbreaking pact and an unexpected pregnancy. For adult readers only, due to language, physical intimacy, and violence. Happy reading!

First of all, the book blurb is nothing like how the story actualky unfolds. It wasn't "him and his men" sh ed stumbled across committing a crime. She wasn't bound and gagged and delivered to the boss. She wasn't forced to submit to him, fearing for her life or otherwise. He said "fake relationship", she said "okay" and they jumped into bed. The heroine us a complete non-entity. She has no personality, no colouring, and basically exists as the most 'meh' char as character I've ever read. The hero was only slightly better. Dull, dull, dull. J never got the sense that he was deadly or dangerous or heck even smexy. The writing is decent but too much tell instead of show. That bugs the crap out of me. sorry but this was DNF for me. I think all the 5 star ratings are bogus. Sad clown.
It has been quite a while since I enjoyed reading such a wonderful, entertaining mafia romance. The characters are interesting & are quite realistic with their emotions feelings & expectations. I found the story-line and plot fascinating with some unexpected events, it definitely kept my attention. There is: a woman who witnesses a execution & is taken as a sexual toy for the don (Lily Erickson), her boss & ruthless mafia don (Luke Henley), intrigue, suspense, threats, danger, enemies, twists & turns, violence, conflict, mafia, detectives, law enforcement, emotional turmoil, alibis, fake relationship, memories, confusion, manipulations, longings, determination, a unexpected surprise, verbal confrontations, devious plans, injuries, guns blazing, doubts, happiness, love, steamy scenes & a satisfying happy epilogue. I would recommend this mafia romance.
I liked this book. It made me laugh, it made me mad, and I smiled halfway through it. But, the book is mostly sex and really doesn't have a lot to it. If you want something that has sex in literally every chapter, then I highly recommend. But if you're looking for something with romance and well anything else but sex, then I don't recommend at all. I'm not saying the book is terrible it's actually really good, I gave it three stars because the writing was short but to the point. It was fast paced and has great potential but I was expecting more.
I HATE when the description of the book is basically a lie- and that’s what this was. I usually LOVE this author but from the moment I realized in the first chapter that the description was not what the book was about, it all went downhill. I expected much better. Paper-thin characters and loosely connected plot points that wrap up in a disjointed, paint-by-numbers kind of way. I’m only giving it 2 stars because of my reverence for the author’s other work.
Lily Erickson witnesses something she shouldn’t have and ends up in front of her boss confused but wanting to live. She is said to be afraid but her actions show otherwise. She tries to end it, or more like vocalizes her thoughts only to get back together with him the next day and getting more and more involved. Police officer turns bad by wanting to be at the top of the police chain? Her boss turns out to be a good type of mafia lord? She ends up pregnant and in love? It was all just predictable and less mafia than expected.
Lily walk in at the wrong time and now had to play a game. Mob boss Luke seduce Lily to play along in what she had heard or seen. Well not bad way to find the one.
What started as a way to protect them both turns to something more Real then either Luke or Lily could of imagined. Don't miss their unforgettable experience and how they overcome the darkness lurking in the shadows.
Absolutely loved this story no spoilers but it was filled with action hot sexy scenes definitely well worth reading. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
The book was not realistic to me. It's a factional book, but no realization. It at least should make you think, "could this really happen real life, no she would have been killed".
First let me say that 3 stars does not mean it's worthless....it very much is an interesting story and a decent read. You know when you read something that you know has potential but the author didn't quite get there? That's this book. There are some plot holes. Some of the events happen far too fast with no "drama" so to speak. And I would never consider this a mafia love story. Some of the writing was a little inexperienced compared to others I've read. But again, it wasn't a total bust. I finished it and enjoyed it overall.
Synopsis: This story follows Lily, an admin at a car dealership owned by the Hanley family and ran by the son, Luke. One night she witnesses something she isn't supposed to and soon finds herself being used as Lukes "alibi" girlfriend. But trouble is brewing in the form of a new detective in town.
Luke is not a bad boy so to speak. A perfect gentleman and doesn't seem to be ruthless enough to be a mafia boss. He is caring and kind, so that was an adjustment for me. Lily is docile and skittish. I get it, she is scared. But she is written with no backbone and the inability to say no it seems.
