Liz Wright is a 40-something mom, wife, psychologist, and professor living in San Antonio, TX. She eats books, reading about 80 books per year. She has always loved reading and writing, but she only recently started finishing the stories she wrote. Her first book, Straddling the Middle, was written in 2016 but published in 2018. Her favorite books to read include mystery/thrillers and suspense with some non-fiction and biography thrown in for good measure. Her writing doesn't fall in one specific genre though although her main characters are typically women.

As a social psychologist, she loves to see the connections between novel writing and social and personality psychology. As a teacher she encourages everyone she meets to read 30 minutes a day for pleasure (not just for academics).

Leila's questioning the purpose of her life is a very relatable struggle for most mid-life women. As her life is filled with daily responsibilities and routine, she reflects on that all-to-common question, "is this all there is?" Hopefully, her process and the answers she discovers will encourage readers to reflect more deeply on their own purpose and become more intentional in their daily life.
