Dang good start.....

This was a really good start to something I feel will be a great series. I'm already falling in love with this MC. And little Bethany has stolen my heart ❤.
For a first time author Shannon has done an incredible job. The storyline is fast, alpha protective males, hot sex scenes, little angst thrown in, little twists and with kickass women too.
I can't wait for Cooper's story. Bravo good job!!
I recommend this book.

Not for me

This book had elements of this I liked, it just had too much going on. That combined with a writing style that seemed to me to be very elementary/amateur. Everything was rushed. The plot was constantly running from one thing to he next and the characters lacked any depth.

Not worthy of your time

This book read as a middle schooler wrote it,sadly. I wouldn’t recommend reading it. I was excited to see a series I could sink my teeth into, sadly this will be the first and only I read.

Great first book

I enjoyed this first book by Shannon McFadden. Sure you can tell it is a first book but the storyline, pace, and basic content hooked me. I look forward to reading the next book.

Loved it

Cotton and Saige are an amazing couple. There are ups and downs. But all in all, it's a super sweet romance. You won't be able to put your book down.

OMG...………………………….it is not often with a new author that I am pulled into the story straight away, however that is what happened with this book, and I stayed in the story right up until the last word that was written, I also had my little mini movie playing in my head, I loved it.
There are twists, turns and surprises all the way through the book, some of the surprises are big, some are small, some you may see coming and others you won't, but all are equally as important.
The emotions that each of the characters go through can be felt, some of them will jump up and pull on your heart strings, I found myself going through the emotions with them, I think I got slightly more frustrated with the characters and I think I might of shed a few tears more than they did, I even found myself wanting to knock one of the characters head against the brick wall.
This book has gone straight into my go to folder I know that I will read this book again. I am so looking forward to reading what is next in the series or from the author.
I highly recommend this book, if you are an MC fan out there I think you will enjoy it. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars as it is worth more.

I loved this book, Saige and Cotton's story was great, it has been a while since I have read an MC book that I loved and could not put down like this one. I can't wait to see what happens next with Cooper and the rest of the MC. For a first time author I think that Shannon McFadden did a great job.

Great debut book

This is a new author an this is her first book. It's really good too. I stayed up most of the night because I could t out it down. It doesn't end in a cliff-hanger but she leaves some things open for the other books in the series. I'm excited to read the next one. Hopefully it will be out soon.

New author for me.

I honestly didn't care for this book, to me it was all over the place story wise. But it may have been just me. I WILL continue to follow the series and go from there. They can only get better.

2 1/2 to 3

This started off pretty good, but then it seemed to turn into a soap opera and the plot got choppy. There was no explanation about Saige’s anxiety and migraines. She just accepted the explanation of her mother’s action without being upset or angry. If they knew someone was after them why didn’t they have guards around the place so someone couldn’t slip in? I have lots of other questions too.

Don’t really know why I finished it.... oh well.

I hate to say this- but the writing style was very amateurish. There were elements I liked, and I loved the premise of the storyline... but there were too many parts that didn’t ring true, rushed, glossed over, unrealistic, were timeline jumped, summed up, or we were told about it without seeing it.

I didn’t mind all of the different things going on- but it just felt like those things happened to keep a story going - and make the story go on too long. There were many times when smaller doses of drama could have made the story and could have carried the story out and not be nipped in the bud so fast.

What’s the deal with everyone acting so strange all of a sudden? What’s the purpose of Saiges mom and her weirdness? What’s the purpose of Buck and Beth and how they were barely around but yet made part of the plot line? What’s the purpose of Sloane’s weirdness to cause Loki drama in Saige’s book??? Beth and her dad and mystery boyfriend could have their own book and drama. Loki and Sloane could have their own book with drama... and Saige’s mom could have had more part of the plot to carry the story along since she’s part of it from the very start of the book. Point is- this book could have been shorter, more of focus on the main character and her mom, and the others could have had their own stories where their issues came out.

I am curious to see if we get story’s for Loki, Bacon, and Tires. I just hope there’s better beta readers, editing to clean and sharpen their stories up, and less craziness just to make the story happen.

Dnf 56% shallow, rushed, too much with little depth. Language n conversations stitl8ed n not realistic.

Had potentional but author just rushed the story so quickly, things happen like a brother dies and I'm thinking when did that happen, I missed it!

Just like 80% of all the other mediocre mc biker books there. No knowledge of bikers or biker culture.

Just lacking in so many ways!

So disappointed!

Potential.

This is the author’s debut book and I see a lot of potential in this author and the series she is starting.

A couple things stand out that drove me a little nuts.

SPOILERS

The main female character is only 21 but has had the life of a 40 year old: enough money to buy an $80,000 truck and space for a bakery, going undercover for the MC to stop a kidnapping ring, and more. It was a bit too much. Then there was so much going on towards the end of the book. So many people acting weird and disappearing. Then the book ended kind of abruptly. I actually don’t have any issue with the last chapter which really leads into the next book but the final chapter about Saige and Cotton was just a little lacking.

Wow...it was everything and more

As Shannon McFadden is a new author to me, I wasn't sure what to expect. Cotton and Siege were great. I loved their story and them in general. It is a full story and gives background so you aren't lost. No cliff hanger and there is a HEA. I will be back for more!

Good

Good read! I like the characters and the story. There is a lot happening at once, so can get a little confusing at times. Also ends in a cliffhanger, not can of those. Overall a decent read.
