Choices: Succubus Dreams Part 1 by L.L. Frost continues Adie’s story. Adie is struggling with what she did…the destruction of Perry. She didn’t have a choice. He was intent on destroying her and everything that she held dear. Now, Adie is plagued with nightmares with the road that she had to take. But things only go to escalate as things take a bad turn between her and her demons.
Choices: Succubus Dreams is an engaging addition to the Succubus Dreams serial. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. The pace is good, moves at a good clip without being too fast, and kept me engaged. I have to admit that my favorite part of this story is Tac. I just love how focused his on knights and eating them. Haha! I must admit that I would love to have a story that tells about his past because for me he is an intricate and engaging character even if he is a feline-ish. LOL!
I hate to admit it but Adie actually got on my nerves a bit with this story. I normally don’t mind the push and pull between her and the demons, but I feel that she is making them pay a bit for her choices to starve herself. I felt that this time around she chose to be childish and that things end up escalating behind pettiness on all sides.
All in all, I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I enjoy the drama, but I didn’t like Adie having a pity party and wanting to snap at those who are just simply trying to help her. I’m eager to learn about this mysterious new creature the author introduces at the end, so if you’ve enjoyed the previous books in this series then I recommend you grab this book. You don’t want to miss out on what happens next.

Not a very happy installment

Poor Adie. Her life just isn’t happy right now. She’s barely squeaking by financially, she’s struggling with the guilt of devouring Perry, she’s having nightmares and not sleeping because of them, so she’s exhausted, she’s fighting with her Demons and they’re calling in “payment” on her loan from the bank, she’s not feeding and is getting weaker and weaker, and now she’s being haunted by creatures from the outskirts of Dreamworld. At least her imps and Tally still love her. 😢

Adie is still dealing with the aftermath of the Hunters and Perry's death. She is haunted by guilt and nightmares, maybe literally.

Guilt, nightmares, a possible haunting, and baking. Jealousy, a confrontation, an ultimatum, and a revelation. And lots of imp time!! My emotions were all over the place. These serials are quick reads but they pack a punch. This one left me screaming for more. More conversations, more confessions, more explanations. So good!!

Nightmares and Love

Adie is having nightmares ever since the right with the hunters and what she had to do to Perry. It has her not feeding properly and once she nearly does with Tobias, Emil has a bad reaction that upsets Adie and Tobias. I hope they work through it.

If course now there seems to be another issue as a creature from Dreamland seems to be on the human plane when it shouldn't be. Adie just cannot seem to stop attracting trouble.

So good

Domnall and the betrayer may no longer be a threat, but they've left a terrible impression on Adie who struggles to move forward and overcome her guilt. The guys aren't necessarily making it any easier either. I'm looking forward to finding out if what haunts Adie is more than just guilt.

Oh Adie!

Get on the bandwagon and read this hilarious, thrilling serial.

Adie feels immense guilt over Perry so much so she isn’t taking care of herself how will this impact her relationships!

I actually really enjoyed this serials contribution to the series. Adie learns some interesting facts regarding the guys feelings. You also see her trying to come to terms with the aftermath of the fight against hunters and he who devours. I'm interested to see where Frost will take Adie's story now with that ending!
