Lightbearer

Rate this book
Once upon a time, the devil knocked up a delivery guy.

Not your typical intro to a romance, but I promise, it is one. The devil in this scenario would be a sexy horned demon named Apollyon and the delivery guy would be me, Levi Curtis. Just an average guy who got in way over his head trying to keep his twin sister from selling her soul.

See, in order to do unleash Hell’s demonic wrath upon the earth, Apollyon needs a mortal vessel to contain the seed of his demonic army. It wasn’t supposed to be a literal pregnancy, but my overactive imagination has always caused problems.

Big problems, in this case. A whole Legion of ‘em.

I may low-key hate Apollyon, but we’re gonna have to learn to tolerate each other in order to keep our little bundle of infernal joy safe and hopefully not destroy both our worlds in the process.

But hey, on the plus side, you know what they say about guys with big horns.

Lightbearer is an 82k fantasy mpreg romance with dark humor, explicit sex and hot-as-hell demons. 18+ only.

So .... this book is quite profound. 🙂 And I meant it in the complimentary way. I have read a few books of L.C. Davis and I usually love them, they are fluffy, light and sexy. So what’s not to like? 😉 When I heard we are getting a Mpreg story with a demon and a human, I was allllllll for it. And I downloaded it right away when it get released. And here comes the analysis of the profound part.

The blurb didn’t do this book justice because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The first half of the book is typical L.C. Davis with an extra dose of snark. I just loved Levi, he was snarky, witty, sarcastic with a serious streak of self-destruction thing going on. 😁 I mean it was a series of unfortunate events that lead him to become the baby mama of the Devil (his words .. not mine. 😂) I really thought the story would end when the Duke of Hell, Apollyon, Levi’s lover, fell in love with him and impregnated him. I mean two point five kids and the white picket fences at least the Hell version of it. 🤣 But the story took a 180 turn after Apollyon falling in love with Levi and him being pregnant with his soulmate’s child. That’s where the profound part set in. If you don’t believe it, check my highlights. 😁 OMG, I cried like 10 times during the second half of the novel. 😭 I mean Maiz, he is my favorite character other than Levi in this story. I liked him even more than the protagonist Apollyon, Levi’s soulmate. He was responsible for at least two buckets of my tears. 😅 And the whole preposterous and bizarre plots and twists and events, people .. you need a dozen packets of Kleenex and don’t forget to bring out your angst umbrellas too. ☔️ I mean, Apollyon and Levi did get the fucking happily ever after (again, his words .. not mine 😂) but man, the angst mountain you have to go through to get to it ..... but in the end, I would say the ending and that epilogue was worth it. 😌 I seriously wish that we would get more books in this universe, at least, Maiz’s own story because that guy deserves the fucking happiest and marriest happily ever after after everything he has gone through. And although this book has its sexy bits, it isn’t that heavy on the erotic part as usual L.C. Davis books. This book a bit reminded me of “Blasphemy” by T.J. Klune but longer and heavier on angst. I’d recommend this book if you are a hopeless romantic like me who loves heavy fantasy and aren’t afraid to sob like a baby. 😁

This is just as good as it was the first time. Super enjoyable and I highly recommend. 5 stars, and I did bump from 4.5 because I was prepared for the ending this time and it didn't bother me as much.

2019 review
A complimentary copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Haha, this book has so much snark, at times I thought I was reading a different authors work because it reminded me of him so much. LC did an awesome job with the comedy AND the story overall and I can't help but give this 4.5 stars (would be higher except the ending...)

Before I get to that, let me start at the beginning. I have been a fan of LC for a long time and when I read the blurb for this story I couldn't say no. My reaction 10% in: "So much yes. All the yes's. I am a fan of this author and OMG have they done a good job. I don't know why I am surprised; this author is LEGIT talented and deserves so much praise. And I only just started the book, lol."

And the reason for that? This comment right here from our Lightbearer Levi: "I’m not exactly sure what the proper reaction to realizing you’ve summoned the devil is supposed to be, but it’s probably not, “Who’s amounting to nothing now, Ma?”"

This right here is the whole tone for the story and I gobbled it up. Levi summons a demon because his twin sister Sirena has gone missing and he learns that she is involved in witchcraft, has a book with a summoning ritual and puts a few clues together, then bam, Apollyon is summoned, err, Levi is snatched thru the portal into one of the rings of Hell. Apparently the better of the rings.

Jumping ahead and skipping some good stuff because I don't want to spoil it , once Levi and Apollyon grow close, they eventually do the deed. :D And whoa! Was that an interesting ride. Dude has a bladed penis! And it vibrates. :O

The story is exceptionally well told and I didn't want to put it down AT ALL. I would like to share a few more quotes that really got me, before I go on to the ending and my not quite 5 star rating.

"[Levi] took another sip of lies, AKA decaf coffee, and sighed." (This is probably funnier in context of the story.)

“Very good, Mr. Curtis,”Haniel said flatly. “You’re not as foolish as your recent choices would make it seem.” “Don’t underestimate me, I’ve still got plenty of bad decisions left,” I snarked.

“You were blinded by the light,” Maiz answers. “It’s a tactic angels use to stun their subjects for easier abduction.” I blink. “Why does that sound like aliens?”“I’m sure there’s many an abduction story that could be more accurately attributed to them,” Maiz muses. File that under ‘what the fuck.’

This is advertised as mpreg so not revealing any spoilers; I think you can figure out what them having sex ends up resulting. :D Except it's supposed to be a legion of warriors but because of Levi it results in one being. It's unclear what this child is supposed to do. Levi of course loves the baby and will protect it with his life. Which, sigh, he sadly gives in to Lucifer and does something stupid (I think), but alas leads to other things. Anyway...

The ending. I wanted more. The ending seemed so rushed and anticlimactic. The story is told for Levi's POV, which yeah, limits the info we get, but really. We don't get all the drama that happens after Levi does what he does, we only hear about it and see a very small minute of detail. We don't get to see the baby grow up, we don't get to see the war between Heaven, Hell and the "ruling" of Earth. I felt kind of cheated about that. I wanted to know what happened while Levi was away and I wanted to feel what Apollyon and his sister went thru when he made his deal with Lucifer. They had to have been pissed. And what about when they first realized what Levi had done? We don't get to see that.

And now that I have brought the room down with doom and gloom, I try and bring this back up and say the epilogue is super sweet and I would love to see a short story about them now that they are all together again. We know what Levi wants and I want to see it! I was cheated out of the joy of seeing the baby grow up, and I want it!

So. 4.5 stars from me and I rounded up the overall stars for official rating to 5 because I laughed and loved this so much (until the end). I HIGHLY recommend this; don't let the mpreg turn you off. It's magical and supernatural - not the natural way of life (no Alpha/Omega/Beta), which I think makes a different. Fingers crossed this is released in audio someday! Not sure who I want to narrate, but I have someone in mind who can pull off the snark. :D

DNF at ~35%. This review contains spoilers.

Okay, I'm sick to death of the snarky unflappable immature comedy progagonist. Especially if he sounds like a teenager instead of the thirty-year old he's supposed to be. It was kind of cute the first half dozen times, now it's just grating.

I can live with it if the rest of the book is exciting. There are stories that live and breathe through the supporting cast. This is not such a story. In fact, the book was predictable.

So we have a sister (who is of course much more successful than her brother) saying that she is being pressured by someone and is vague on who or what exactly. My first thought is that she made a contract with the demonic part of the main couple. Turns out I was right!

The author then goes on to occasionally criticize stereotypes in writing that annoy her (damsel in distress etc.) while still using these stereotypes in the same chapter. Oh, sorry. I shouldn't assume the author is a woman, that would be sexist. As is assuming that Archangels called Gabriel, Raphael, Michael and Uriel are male. Our protagonist is apparently not good in theology.

Shouldn't there be a strong independent woman in this story who'll complain that she's way too overqualified to do what she's currently doing? Oh, there she is. Whew, the story felt naked without her.

Then a supporting cast demon is introduced. He's kind of sympathetic, so he will of course have to comfort our protagonist after his soon-to-be-lover has his moment of dickishness in the future. Right again! Something of a pattern emerges.

Okay, this is kind of interesting. Apparently our protagonist is tied to an archangel, a powerful one at that. Weird, because they usually keep their soulbound humans close at hand. Why does this particular angel act so differently from the rest?

Last chance novel. If this archangel turns out to be Lucifer... Get it? Because Lucifer is still considered an archangel, even though he's fallen to become the devil. It's totally surprising if you never picked up a bible or had religious classes in school!

And right once again. I'm out. The writing as such flows smoothly but the story is predictable, the characters are stereotypes and I'm not feeling any chemistry between the protagonists. Can't comment on whether the R18 stuff is well written, I didn't get that far.

DNF @70%...skimmed to the end.

Started very strong, and very funny...fizzled out and turned into something annoying.

Funny Levi turned into OTT annoying Levi.
I was waiting for a semblance of romance or a connection between Apollyon and Levi and franky there was non to be found.

The slump continues....

Man I was 100% on board with this until we hit about 60%. Levi is hysterical and the world building was like, epic level proportions.

But this isn’t a romance nor is it really sexy at all. The relationship between Apollyon and Levi was… not done well. If anything, there was more of a written bond between Levi and Maiz rather than Apollyon.

Once Levi handed his body over to Lucifer, I felt like I was watching the show Supernatural. It was just all very dramatic and tons of time skips and it just didn’t fit with the rest of the book.

And we get to the end and roughly 100 years has passed while Levi is dead then he manifests poor Maiz back to suffer as his butler while still in love with Levi. Then… he wants another baby..?

This book just went off the rails and it was rather disappointing because the world was unique… the execution just fell flat.

This book reminds me of a mediocre opera buffa - the talented author had all the required chops and then some to spit out a great demonic mpreg story blending suspense and amorous feats with theological or metaphysical asides but instead he chose to botch a snarky, meta tale which never really takes itself seriously, strains credibility to the high heavens by transforming with cartoonish zest the human protagonist into the hottest paranormal commodity ever while making a buffoon out of the demon lord (a knifing erect penis, really? courtiers and a pet Hellhound who seem to have materialized right ouf of an episode of Care Bears?), and tires by its criminally lazy shortcuts through the plot (twenty years pass in the blink of an eye as one of the leads has bartered away to Lucifer the control of their body; nor are we shown the collapse of Heaven and the battle on Earth defended by the other lead). All the good writing in the world cannot save such a wretched formula.

This was totally outside of my comfort zone, being mpreg which is not my thing AT ALL, but I love the whole human and demon trope and I’d read good reviews on here…so I gave it a go.

And I am very happy I did because it was great! Really funny (in the same vein as Alice Winters who I love) and totally hot 🥵.

”Having never done ceremonial magic before, I felt a little out of my element, but putting together IKEA furniture seemed like decent preparation. Less blood involved in the actual magic, though.”

If you’re looking for a twist on making a deal with the devil, then give this one a go. It’s part of a series but can be read as a standalone, with a definite HFN/HEA 💜.

I'm really torn about this one. It started off intriguing but there were a lot of ups and downs for me.

I liked the characters and the storyline, but it seems like there was just too much story to tell fully in one book and this led to lots of telling not showing and even things that weren't fully fleshed out . There are demons, angels, witches, and hellhounds. We are told there is a huge war for control of the Earth and Hell, as well as eventually Levi, but we see very little of it. Apollyon basically goes off to work and we know nothing of what is happening, which really didn't do much to convey the danger that everyone was apparently in.

I also wasn't really sold on the romance between Levi and Apollyon. They felt more like a friendly team than a romantic couple, and I was told this was romance not a buddy story. They spend very little time together on page after Levi goes to Hell, where he is tortured, he is trained, and eventually becomes Apolloyon's lover, but again so much of it is told to us and not shown that I never really felt engaged in their romance, because I never saw them falling for each other. There were also huge time jumps throughout the story that really didn't work for me.

Three stars for me because I was intrigued enough to keep reading, the characters were likable and the story was different, but this was not a big winner as I'd hoped.

Do you know the feeling you get when a book keep on making you smile while making you helplessly cringe at the same time ? You're stuck and confused and you wonder what the hell is happening because you keep on reading and you enjoy it while at the same time you're cataloguing all the things that are just not working in this book ? Got it ?
That's pretty much what I'm feeling with Lightbearer.

Levi's a plain human male thrown into the hands of a gorgeous badass demon and gets stuck in a bargain in which he pretty much agrees to bear the metaphorical child of said demon. So far, so good.
Things get complicated when you add to the mix angels, the apocalypse, a really confusing magic system (can it be qualified as a system at all, that's a really good question), a tiny drop of insta-love and huge time-skips that were really REALLY frustrating to say the least.

Whereas Levi was kind of fun to read as a character, his relationship with Apollyon lacked depth and meaning etc. And while some of his lines made me laugh out loud, it can be complicated at times to take the plot seriously when the main character keeps making fun of everything. The secondary characters weren't really any better as they were more or less walking talking stereotypes.

Moving on to what I enjoyed in this book : the writing was fluid, catchy, really too fast-paced at times (mainly the 10 last chapters) but overall a pleasure to read. It was a fun read and if that's all you're looking for, you're in for a treat. Otherwise, brace yourself for a little disappointment.

there really is a thing as TOO MUCH sarcasm

Levi and Apollycon are a match made in hell literally.

I think this book tried too hard to be funny. Levi was amusing at first but his sarcasm got on my nerves by the time I reached 47%. And I’m at 100% and it never improved.

I thought from the premise this book had so much promise but the ending was SO convoluted and dumb I’m never reading this author again. They are not for me. And poor Maiz ,his end was the worst. I’d rather he be dead. Levi and Apollycon’s slow burn and then not much after was also blah as well. They were apart more than they were together. I hate that in romances.
Lightbearer to no where. Ugh

Wow, this book was a bit intense! For all the snark, sass, and witty comebacks from Levi throughout everything, this book also dealt with some pretty serious situations.

I loved Levi - I laughed at him, rooted for him, felt horrible for him, and honestly there were some points in this story where I wondered how he was going to get his HEA. Things were that intense! He and Apollyon were so great together - although I admit I would have loved something from Apollyon's POV to really see when he started seeing Levi as the love of his life, rather than just a snarky little human.

The ending is so great, and I'm SO glad Levi gets his HEA!

A funny, unique paranormal

This was a lot of fun. The main character reminded me a lot of some of Alice Winters’ characters, with his snark and inability to take anything seriously. It took a couple of turns that left me guessing how a happy ending could happen, but I was very satisfied with how it all wrapped up.

Update: So it's 2023 and I reread this story. I had problems with this the first time I read it. The chemistry was shotty and the time jumps annoying. I hated how it ended because it didn't make a ton of sense. Plus it left us on a note that implied that there was more to this story. I say that because we get introduced to characters who we aren't given a chance to know but are expected to still care for. That overall story was just flat.

But I reread it and my mind has changed. The chemistry is still crap between the MCs but I can see how they came to care for each other. Read it CARE not love. I don't really see a defining moment when they started to love each other.
The time skips that I hated so much make sense now. The overall goal to the story had been accomplished. There was no reason for them to add on extra bits when they needed to catch up with the other plot point. That being said, I don't think they spent enough time on those other points. The war with Lucifer and heaven should have gotten its own story.
Levi waking up and meeting his family and trying to understand the near world should have been another. Heck, I would have even enjoyed a novella explaining how things were when he died. The time skips are ok but they are great.

The characters themselves are flawed. Some aspects about them could be cut out. We are introduced to Ben. He is great but his role in the story could have been cut. It made little sense to add a scene and make him appear to be an important person in Levi's life but never show him. Same with his mother. Why should we care about them? It's that gradual buildup to characters that goes no where that makes this story terrible. Because I want to feel something for them but the only character we truly got to know throughout this whole ordeal was freaking Maiz. Levi spent more time with him than anyone else in the story. Including the guy he is supposedly in love with. They had better chemistry between them both as friends and as potential lovers. Which says a lot because they had no chemistry between them for either of those things.

The Story is still bad but I enjoyed it in ways I hadn't before. I do wonder how I will feel should I reread it again in a couple years. I wonder if I will love it. Probably not.

Time jumps

This story was about a guy who ended up becoming a sort of vessel for the Duke of hell. Which, actually ended up being pretty interesting. He wasn't exactly a vessel but something close to it. I love the funny little back and forths between the MC and everyone else. It was the time jumps and the laxk of chemistry I hated. First of all this book is supoosed to span a thousand plus yearsand yet we are given almost no information about anyone in this story. It basically read out like one giant summery to a vastly different book. It is due to that that it was hard to see how this couple worked.

Having read this ages ago, I thought I would give it a reread to see if I still loved it. I had such a different reaction to the story this time, but I am not going to lower my rating.

Spoilers ahead

In here we have Levi, the snarky twin who is basically skating through life until his disease become bad enough to be taken care of.

His twin disappears and he finds out that she made a deal with a devil (but not the devil) Apollyon, which leads Levi to volunteer to become the birth vessel.

These two ding dongs fall in love during the time it takes to prepare Levi to be able to be bred and preggers. I really loved the writing during this. If anyone has read the God Bearer series knows what I am talking about.

But that whole time period after Levi makes a deal with Lucifer and is

Anyways, this was still a good story, just not the one I thought it was.

For a long time I believed I found a mpreg book that I can enjoy. Might be because it's no tale from the omega-verse and the pregnancy wasn't supposed to be a unusual variation of the mammal type in the first place.

It's about a guy trying to get his supposedly kidnapped twin sister back. He doesn't believe in magic but finding a grimoire after every other attempt failed he's trying to summon a demon. Surely not believing that anything is coming out of it otherwise he certainly would have dressed properly but so he's got sucked into a void in his underpants to meet a hot duke from hell. What follows is a snark-fest with the occasional sass and tiny bits of banter thrown into it with a glowing stubbornness on top. So what if he doesn't understand the fine print stipulations of her contract?! He takes over anyway; everything to save her and it doesn't matter if she wants to be saved.

During that part of the story I was tempted to rate it a generous 4 star regardless of the mediocre cover regardless that the growing love between Levi and his demon came out of the left field and felt a lot like Stockholm if at all. I truly enjoyed the dynamics between Levi and Apollyon – or more accurate: between Levi and everybody else. Then came his training sessions and the act itself and the 4th star began to fade, became a weak 3.5 with Stevie in the game and tumbled in direction of 3 when heaven got involved. Finally, entry Lucifer and the story until then still an enjoyable read took a 180, turned into something else completely, mindless purgatory with glimpses of dystopian battle with a sudden HEA at the end and I couldn't have cared less anymore.

4.5 stars!

Before anyone freaks out about the MCD tag, they die but then they are resurrected, so it's a temporary MCD, thankfully.

So it turns out that I've read this author before and hadn't even realized it - they also write as Joel Abernathy - and I've got to say this was a great second outing for me for this author.

The story is focused on Levi, who is 32 and feels his life is going nowhere fast and that it's his lot in life. Having had to drop out of high school to take care of his sick mother, he never got a leg up in the world.

His twin sister, Sirena, on the other hand, has made it as an actress. But when she calls him to come over urgently, she's acting strange and won't tell him the full truth.

It turns out that she made a deal with Apollyon, a Lord in hell, to save Levi, who had inherited Huntington's disease from their deadbeat father who left them years ago, a degenerative disease which gives Levi 5 to 10 years left before the disease becomes so debilitating he can't function on his own.

But Sirena made a deal in order to save him. But she disappears before she tells him that, and Levi eventually finds a book that conjures Apollyon - which Levi find out about because that name was written in blood on the wall after Sirena disappeared - and tries, although he isn't expecting anything to happen...but oh boy, does it.

Apollyon is a demon...but he's also a sexy demon...and also is seemingly willing to trade Levi for Sirena, because Levi loves his twin sister and feels she deserves to live her life, on Earth, happy.

And so Levi finds himself living in hell, and while him and Apollyon don't get off to a great start - when it turns out Levi can do some powerful stuff, Apollyon is suspicious and has his mentally tortured. Not the best start to love, but they get there eventually.

Levi is only meant to, once had and Apollyon mate, to cary the essence or spirit, or a ton of a demons - so not a baby or babies, but still it requires them to have sex for that to happen. But because of Levi's abilities, that non-baby becomes more of a...baby.

But Lucifer, the Prince of Hell, who is super evil and super powerful, is coming after Levi, for reasons I won't spoil.

But Levi and Apollyon are in love now, and Levi is carrying their child, and they need some place that is safe from Lucifer...and the angels. The angels in this story don't exactly act like, well...angels lol and they have their own agenda.

I enjoyed this immensely, and was up late last night trying to finish this. It was really good, and I loved Levi and Apollyon together.

Butttt the author sticks in some tragedy before that HEA and it's painful. Levi sacrifices himself to save his loved ones, but it lead to...well, I'm sure you can guess based on the tags.

What really sucks more than anything, for me is .

This book did a number on my emotions that I wasn't expecting at all, and it was mean! Mean, I tell you!

But...we do get our happy ending eventually. Because Apollyon is a demon, who is immortal, and because of their child, Levi will get to live forever too. So I know in their HEA, Levi and Apollyon will get so much more time than what they lost, but still....such a long time, of heartache and grief and loss.

It was certainly hard to take, for me. I rarely read MCD's - but since the MCD isn't permanent, I can definitely live with that. Thank god all that the pain paid off and we got our HEA, finally at the end.

An unexpectedly great book, I loved this. I do highly recommend this, if you don't mind mpreg or MCD that isn't a MCD for long (book length wise :D). Well worth it, because I loved this more than I was expecting. Two thumbs up from me!

I am super impressed with this book! I haven't read a lot of paranormal books lately but I needed a little break from contemporary and this had been recommended a few times. I am so glad I read it. It's an unusual take on mpreg without the Omegaverse aspect to it. There was a LOT of snark and sometimes just a bit OTT, but it was witty and clever in my opinion. Although there was an HEA, the ending was still a little bittersweet.
I really enjoyed the secondary characters some almost as much as the MCs, including Janis, the hell hound.
I highly recommend this if you are looking for something a little bit different. I am definitely going to try some more from LC Davis/Joel Abernathy.

“In fact, it’s the only reason I haven’t disposed of you entirely,” he snapped. “Let’s hope that her magical affinity is a matter of genetics rather than will.”
“That’s no way to talk to the mother of your future army.”

If someone told me in the beginning, that I'd end up crying with this one, I'd have thought them nuts. However, that did happen, and whats worse I was in a public space at that time :(

So. Levi tries to save his sister's soul by replacing her as the 'lightbearer' of Appolyon, a duke demon from Hell. Levi's and Appolyon's initial encounters were hilarious, and being inside Levi's mind was an amazing place to be; he was a smartass and I couldn't stop laughing at his comments. The romance surprisingly took a while to get going, and that was a good thing, because those two needed to get to know each other, considering their completely different backgrounds. And then, the story turned from sweet and tender to epic and dramatic in a heartbeat. I couldn't see how those two would get their HEA, and found it hard to put the book down even for a few minutes.

Of course love -and goodness?- prevailed in the end, and I couldn't be happier for them. It was an amazing story, a unique journey, and one I'm sure I'll reread many times in the future.

Imagine my surprise in finding out L. C. Davis and Joel Abernathy are the same person. I hated the one book of Abernathy’s that I tried to read, while Lightbearer is overall lighter, punchier, and funnier. Plus I liked the characters more. It’s a fun light read about a dude becoming Apollyon's baby momma and the struggle between hell and heaven and earth etc.

Now, for the major major spoilers.

“Awwwww, then why only three stars?”

Well, the last one-third of the book involved:
1) The death of Maiz
2) Levi letting Lucifer possess his body, so he can save his fam
3) The passage of 20 years, during which Levi and Apollyon meet for like 2 minutes before Levi commits suicide while Lucifer is still trapped inside him, thereby freeing the world from his dominion
4) The passage of a thousand — hundred? who tf knows how long — years before he’s gamely resurrected by his loving family and they all live happily ever after.

I don’t wanna be nitpicky, but couldn’t we have skipped the passage of a thousand hundred years by being able to banish or destroy Lucy by some magicky magic?

Ok look. We all read the blurb. Come on now, what are you expecting .. if not what you read?

It's funny.

It's Levi. Yo, Levi makes the story. All characters revolve around Levi.

This is like a funny read where you kick your feet up and drink a little whiskey to wind down and have some laughs before you head off to bed.

You seriously have to take it as it is.

Though I do have to say ... towards the end there, I felt a little shafted. Kind of thought I ordered this oily fast food meal (you know, the kind you like after drinking too much), but instead I found out my fries got left out.

Yo! where are my fries? It's like I'm almost full, but I just needed some fries to top me off.

*Sigh* .. it's alright. I probably shouldn't eat those fries anyway. Forced cut backs.

That's kind of how I felt. Hence the 4 stars.

I felt a bit shafted on the intimate scenes a bit as well. Was all this build up...and all I got was a reheated tv meal.

I'd still recommend it though. It was pretty funny. Stinkin Levi, man..

Very funny protag, but sex without feelings and fake romance

Didnt believe that the demon was in love. He just wanted a pet and a tool and a weapon and a sex toy... There was no slowburn, there was nothing to burn. The demon let the innocent MC get tortured and the MC is just like... „ok, ive already forgiven you. Lets get you out of these pants and get nasty!“

so shallow...

And pain and blood aint my thing during...

horrible book
