"5 stars just isn't enough for these books." ~ Kathy (Cajun Heat Book Blog)

"I can't praise this series enough." ~Amazon Reviewer

When death isn't an option... You fight.

Waking up in a blood stained cell wasn't how my first date with the sexy Detective Roman Blackwood was meant to turn out.

My captor lives to inflict pain. He tells me the girls who came before me are no more, then makes me a promise. I'm next.

I needed to fight. I needed to survive. He soon learnt I wasn't a simple lay down and die kind of girl. I gave him my own promise.

Dear Captor,

You’ve stolen me.
You’ve spilled my blood.
You’ve brought me pain.
But what you’re yet to realize... I’m a fighter.
I’ve been broken before.
I’ve even at one point lost the will to live.
So now you know… this information I gift to you.
I’m ready for you, so do your worst.

Sincerely,
Elenore

"This is one of the best series I've read. Dark, twisted, and so good!" ~Amazon Reviewer

"A sinfully delicious ending to a raw, gritty and confronting series. It kept me guessing until the very end and once the secret was revealed it left me……SPEECHLESS PEOPLE!!!" ~Amazon Reviewer

Thoughts / Synopsis : ***NO SPICE*** I was disappointed as this was presented as a spicy romance. There was none, however, with that said it was a good thriller.

⚠️⚠️⚠️spoilers - whole story***
Eleanore has a lot of baggage. From 7 to 17 she was treated very badly by her parents. They hurt her constantly. They frequently locked her in the basement. She finally escaped after the “disappeared”. Her neighbor Susie became her adoptive mother, although she tried to help her early on, she wasn’t able to do much.
Eleanore now works as an assistant to the editor of a magazine. There is a serial unalived around town taking women, 7 days later they show up with a letter to their parents. Eleanore meets a detective, Roman. She is very smitten by him, but she gets taken by the unsolved (she calls him Captor). He hurts her and starves her. He cuts her feet and at the end of the 7 days he takes her to the woods and tells her to write a letter to her family. Eleanore doesn’t k ow who to write to, she doesn’t want Susie to read her last words, and she isn’t writing to her parents. She chooses to write to her Captor instead. He tells her to run, and he hesitates after reading the letter.
He does pew pew her but hits her thigh.
Eleanore never gives up, fighting every chance she gets. The captor isn’t used to the fight. He is taken by her.
The captor tells her about himself. His father trained him on what he does. He forced him to, the captor never had a say and now he can’t stop. He eventually unalived his father.
The detective, Roman, has been looking for Eleanor this whole time, trying to figure out where she is. His partner Thomas has been super shady.
The captor leaves and an intruder comes, dressed like the captor and brutally harms Eleanore. She ends up on the side of the road and someone takes her to the hospital.
Roman comes in and she recognizes his voice. Roman was the captor.
She asks him why her, he said he thought she was like all the others. They have weirdly fallen for each other but she clearly needs and wants space. She does tell him about the intruder. They try to figure out who it was but her friend Lewis sends her info. It is Thomas, Roman’s partner and half brother. He was trained by their father also. He witnessed Roman taking out their father and wanted revenge.
Thomas lures them to Roman’s house and tries to set them up with another girl.
Roman and Eleanore take him down.
Eleanore tells Roman she needs to get away and if fate wants them together she’ll find a way.
6 months later, they meet again in the same coffee shop.

Letters in Blood series by Liz Lovelock.
I started reading this series on Saturday but was a little hesitant knowing that it was a little on the darker side than my normal romantic angsty mush that I love so much. But, wow! I started to read the first book in the series Dear Captor, and I couldn’t put it down. I went straight on to the second book, With Love and here it is Sunday and I’ve just finished the third book, Forever Yours. There’s more than a few dark spots but it sadly it’s what some people have actually had to endure. I couldn’t imagine suffering at the hands of a monster but we see the reality of this on the news time and time again. But don’t let this stop you from reading this series. I’m sure each reader will find something within the pages that will capture their interest in one way or another (but please, hopefully not in traumatic way). The story for me, has a positive message and staying strong in order to overcome our fears and come out the other side is one we should all keep within us.

Wow! What a boxset!!!
the first book is quick and addicting read..

The suspense of knowing someone is watching her, waiting for his moment..

Not knowing who it is, "the captor" not revealing himself to her...

Second book in this series...

You get more insight on the characters,
Their struggles, their questions, and their history...

It is brilliantly written, edge of your seat suspense....

the last book in this series..
It is just as captivating, as the first two
and keeps you quessing...

As the secrets are being revealed, it is jaw dropping and mind boggling..

This whole series is enthralling, suspenseful, and nail biting....
Brilliantly written and addicting!

This was a great series and was well on its way to being a 5 star winner for me , however unfortunately I felt a bit let down in the finale compared to the previous 2 books .
It almost felt like someone else took over writing it , it lost its suspense and believe ability . Revelations were a bit underwhelming given the intenseness of the whole book , however that said I really did enjoy it and it was a real page turner for sure . And I still would definitely recommend it .

What a wild ride into the mind of a serial killer

This is a well written dark story with a surprising happy ending. The life Eleanor survived is shocking and then to survive a serial killer just amazing. The twists in this story took me by surprise. The characters were so well written I believed in them. I loved the ending, all I
I can say is this is a must read.

I love a dark read and this was great. A few twists long the way, there normally is with dark reads but I didn’t see all these coming!
Very well written! Liz is a new author to me but after reading this series I will definitely be reading more from her.

Try for no spoilers.

These books were going along very well till the third one. I hate the ending. A serial killer, cop, and a girl. What could go wrong?
