This is a fantastic story! I love reading about this family and their town. I was really excited to read Slade's story and learn about his mate.

Everly (Ever) is a fox shifter who had an awful life before her family moved to Deep Hollow. Slade is feeling guilty about something and stops being friends with Ever for a while. They are mates that everyone can see that except for them. When Slade is confronted with some trues, he decides that it is time to go after his mate. Some past issues come up and Ever must deal with them. Will Slade and Ever find their happy ever after?

💢I really liked this book a lot, Reading Silvertip shifters was amazing. Definitely a must read!

🔹️Slade Walker is the BearShifter also a hot shots firefighter who made the jump at any wildfire he was there. One thing he knew from high school who his mate was but he tried to avoid it as much as possible sometimes you just can’t avoid everything .


🔹️Everly is the FoxShifter who owns part of a little tavern with her brother Tobias. She is sad all the time because two years ago when he came back, he came with out her little brother Jacob. Her whole family’s lives had changed her parents, her brothers life and hers. But the worst of all was he didn’t want to recognize her.

Everly Vos cleaned the polished bar top and put the rack of clean mugs under the counter in preparation for the evening rush. Slade Walker came through the door and she almost stopped breathing – she had had a secret crush on the man for 10 years. He handed her a tattered white envelope he said he just found. Two years ago, Slade did something that caused her brother, Jacob, to not come home. He would never talk about what happened, and her family blamed him entirely. His hope to take her as his mate disappeared then too. Because he felt he was the one who should have saved Jacob that night and didn’t, then he didn’t deserve her. And she believed the high school kids who had always told her she was a lesser shifter than the others and therefore did not deserve a powerful shifter like Slade. Both of them suffered but neither felt worthy enough to reach out to the other. The torture was even worse for Slade, because he never told anyone that he knew where Jacob was but could not break his promise to not let anyone else know.

With his brother Cortez’s encouragement, Slade finally decided to go to Ev and apologize. Cortez told him she was with her girlfriends at a beer and coffee bar, so he burst in on them. Seeing she was really tipsy, Slade told her he would walk her home and her reaction actually gave him some hope! When they got to her door, she couldn’t hold back and launched herself forward to kiss him. It went on forever, but when she pulled back, she misread his expression, thinking she ruined their friendship – and she apologized and ran toward the house. And then she heard him say to never be sorry about kissing him, because he wasn’t. She wouldn’t lose him again. And she realized how much she loved him.

But there are still troubling secrets that have to come out! When the Tarben clan come to their town -- the same cruel intolerant shifters that had forced her family to move to Deep Hollow years ago -- the Deep Hollow shifters will have to join together for the safety of their town. If Jacob would come back home, things might even be perfect again.

This was a good story, bringing in intolerance, love, and forgiveness. The mystery of what happened to Jacob lurked in the background as Everly and Slade were drawn back to each other through their love that never stopped. Nothing can stop you when your mate comes a calling!!!

Fox shifter Everly has got no self confidence. She grew up in a community that rated the shifters and the fox was one of the lowest. Everly was bullied and everyday was hell. thankfully her parents moved them to a new community and the whole family were treated with respect. She loved it but the damage was done. She doesn't rate her fox so doesn't think she is good enough to mate with anyone lest of all the sexy bear shifter Wildland firefighter Slade Walker. She grew up with Slade and used to call him her best friend that was until one night her brother never returned home. That night everything changed. But she didnt just lose her brother, she lost Slade who stopped coming round. Stopped talking to her and she didnt know why but she knew he would when the time was right for him.
well years later one a girls night out Slade comes barging in and apologises Everly is taken back but quickly excepts it and Slade's asks to walk her home as she was very tipsy. Can time heal old wounds? Will she find out what happened for him to stop visiting her?? where is her brother??? can she be happy??????? Can Everly finally find her confidence??

This is a great read, very cute and passionate. I was smiling through the whole book I loved the banter between Slade and Everly. Its a beautiful read!!!!

I Loved Slade and Everly!!!! I bet you will too!!!!

Omg their story had me transfixed, I couldnt put it down till the end!! Sweet!!!

Slade is one hot sexy bear any fox would be glad to have as a mate, it just stinks that it took him so long to accept it but hey thats what makes it so good.
Everly has been shunned her whole life by the other shifters that is until her family moves to Deep Hollow. Everything changes when she meets Slade, sigh, lol.
A missing brother will turn her world upside down once again, with Slade in the middle of what happened. What happens next is...... did ya think i was gonna give it away, lol, nope, youll just have to go grab this book to find out..

I received a copy of this short but sweet shifter love story Via Booksprout.. There isn’t as much danger and intrigue in this one, but it shows what outright bigotry and discrimination can do to any persons image of themselves. In this case it’s Everly Vos a small fox shifter whos been beaten down by bear shifters in a previous town. She’s so in love with Slade Walker (a bear shifter). She is sooo afraid to admit to herself and others that he could possibly ever be more than a friend. On top of that Slade has a big secret about her missing brother which complicates the situation. I loved the way they solved their problem. And the surprise at the end was just icing on the cake. I cannot wait to read the next book to find out more! So I’m gladly volunteering to give this

Finding your self-worth...

Bigotry and bullying aren't just "human" traits. Shifters share this problem as this book shows. Years of being told that she was "lesser" has shaped the way Everly sees herself. So much so that she feels she is unworthy of her mate. Slade feels the same way but for a different reason. Forced to keep a secret, one that isn't even his, from his mate has left Slade wanting what he thinks he doesn't deserve-Everly. Will these two work out their issues? What will happen when Everly's past and Slade's secret collide?

Everly is a fox-shifter and she and her family had been abused by Grizzly shifters before they moved to Deep Hollow, which gave Everly a negative self-image.
Slade is a grizzly, and has tried to ignore the fact that Everly is his mate, but realises this is not possible any more. Fighting for her, means also fighting for his lost friend, her brother, to redeem himself.
A good story, entertaining, a touch of mystery and action mixed into the romance. A truly enjoyable story.

Slade has loved Everly since they were kids but he feels so guilty about her brother he can't even talk to her.
This is their story, of living with hurt and disappointment. Can they figure it out and ease the pain of mates not mated.

Book five in the Silvertip Shifters series a well written story that held my interest from start to finish. Fox shifter Everly Vos and Wildland firefighter Slade Walker is a bona fide hotshot will have a lot to go through before they get their happy ending. Especially things with her brother Jacob, the Tarbens an evil group of bear shifters, being able to stand up for herself, and learning how to forgive. I want to read the next book in this series. This is Slate and Everly's story. It was so good to visit with everyone else in Deep Hollow. I loved how Everly finally got her big girl britches on and kicked butt against the Tarbens. (with a little help from her friends) Nasty stuck up shifter that needed to get their comeuppance. This story will make you laugh, cry and turn pages faster than you can read. Loved this story. Everly had a difficult childhood and made fun of and made to feel less because she is a fox shifter. Slade is a bear shifter and has tried to stay away from Everly after a difficult situation with her brother. Slade works very hard punishing himself for the situation and seems to have difficulty holding in his anger. Everly has so much going for her, but she continues to hide behind the derision of others. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Slade has known for a time that Everly was his mate, but with the secret he keeps from her, he feels he doesnt deserve her. But Everly is going to turn this bear inside down and face their love. Wonderful characters, a wonderful town that accepts everyone for themselves. I loved the justice that was served to the guilty, and the innocent prevail. Cant wait for more.

This is book number five in this amazing series that I have loved reading very much cause I love reading about bear shifters. One of my favorite kind of reads
I love books like this! When the hero made a wrong decision in the past that is keeping him from reaching his future, and when the heroine can't see who she really is because of all the noise being put out by the people who do not play well with others. These two were meant by fate to be together and fate will help them find their HEA, of course first they have to go through pain and work to come together. This book is another wonderful addition to this series. I am pretty sure it is my absolute favorite, but I might have to go back and read them again to be sure. I am looking forward to the next book by this author.

Another hit. This story is about big bear shifter Slade and fox shifter Everly. They have know each other for a long time. Everyone can see that they are met for each other they are mates, but neither once give in. This is a well written story of romance, mates, adventure, and great chemistry. I enjoyed reading this book. This is the fifth book in this series. This series is a must read.

Once again J. K. Harper has brought it to the table, this time with HOTSHOT BEAR: SLADE, the fifth book in the Silvertip Shifters series. Each book in this series seems to have it's own moral compass and lesson, if you look, and this one is bigotry and discrimination. The plot will twist and turn keeping your interest, the personalities of Everly and Slade are so relatable, oh and don't let me forget, the surprise at the end. These just get better as we go along making it difficult to wait for the next one.

Secrets and fears
When you are a shifter that cant acknowledge your mate and are keeping secrets from her then you just know you are in trouble !!! A fast paced romantic story with a huge lesson to learn about how you treat others and are treated by them . Great characters ( as is usual in this series ) and lots of old friends included but it can be read as a stand alone if you haven't seen any of the earlier books ( you will however really want to read those too ) Does size matter ? Maybe if it is the size of your heart and your courage ! Great story and I cant wait to meet the next brother in this series

Some Mighty and Romantic Shifting Going on!
Love some good shifter reading and this series is providing that in spades.
This time it’s big bad Bear shifter Slade and Fox shifter Everly. They’ve know each other since high school when her family moved into the community.
Everyone seems to realize they are mates but them as they dance around each other dealing with all sorts of issues. Will they ever stand still long enough?
This is a great series, well written not only as a shifting story but as a romance. Loved Everly’s inner voice...hilarious!
Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure...and your inner animal. Peace.

This is an intriguing bear shifter romance with a well-paced plot. The characters are quite well-developed although one of the characters (a female fox shifter, Everly) suffers from low self-esteem while the other character (a bear shifter, Slade) is plagued by past memories.
There is various kinds of shifters, friendship, family issues, bigotry, memories, secrets, mystery, longings, misunderstandings, emotional turmoil, verbal conflict, confrontations, discovery, illegal activities, prisoners, unjustly held, bribery, physical conflict, determination, romance, contentment, verbal banter, love & a happy ending.

Slade has felt guilty since Everly's brother Jacob disappeared and has avoided her.
Grizzly shifter Slade and Fox shifter Everly had become friends when her family moved into Deep Hollow then two years before after her brother Jacob had disappeared Slade had distanced himself from her which had hurt her deeply. Then he comes into The Tank a bar that she and her brother Tobias own and run to give her a letter ha had found addressed to her from Jacob which he had found while cleaning out his truck. The people around him all start telling him how badly he had treated Everly and how much he had hurt her he eventually realizes they are right. He goes to the Draft 'N Brew where Everly is having a girls night out and apologizes to her in front of of everyone. When she leaves he walks her home.

Feeling guilty and struggling with his feelings, Slade Walker had been reading the signals wrong. Belittled, considered not as good as the other shifters and shunned had left Everly Vos with a low self-esteem. All say and done, will these pair open their eyes and embrace what life was offering them? What an undecided man! If he had put his mind to work much earlier, he could have saved the sufferings. Luckily, the feelings were strong and the passion good and intense, but everything would have been lost. Strong emotions, an intriguing situation, romance, bullies, friends support, lot hot passion, justice and an interesting end to this entertaining story that I liked.

Making It Right


It was nice to revisit the Walker clan and catch up on the happening of brothers and friends.

Slade and Ever are delightful characters to add their story to the collection. Each has suffered in silence do the actions of others and doubts of themselves.

A chance at forgiveness, revenge and release will change the path for many.

The story held my attention from beginning to end so I read it in one sitting.
