As the dragon vessel, pretty much everyone wants me either locked up or dead.
The magic I possess—the magic I’m quickly mastering—it can destroy whole cities. Start wars. Change the tides of a battle.
Dragon families are run like the mob—and all seven dragon Bosses want to meet me.
Oh joy.
But out of the shadows comes a new threat—a fighter who reminds me of my mentor.
He wants to take my old place at Zurie’s side. And the only way he can get it, apparently, is to kill me.
Dragons, humans—none of them will leave me alone. And in the end, that’s going to be their fatal mistake.
Because I don’t go quietly.
Those who come after me die early deaths, and none of these fools will take my magic—or my beautiful newfound freedom—from me.

Rory prepares for a big meeting with all the dragon bosses. Not only do they all want to use and/or control her, she also has a new guy hunting her that seems to be separate from the dragon families. She is also worried about Levi and how he is getting closer to going feral.
I have mixed feelings about this installment in the series, thus the average rating. I got a little bored there for a while leading up to the meeting with the bosses, which I thought was a big waste of time. Once that was over, I thought things started progressing. So, a mix of good and meh. If I wasn't so interested in seeing how Jace is going to come to terms with Rory not choosing just one of them to be with, I might put the series aside. But darn it, I do want to see how he handles it, so I'm in for at least another book.
I like Rory's sister and I am so glad to know what really happened to her. I can't believe Zurie is so evil.
Rory's relationship with the guys is starting to balance but most of them still think that she will eventually choose only one of them. They will have a surprise when she sets them straight. Hopefully it all works out. There are still pieces missing but it feels like the story is close to being finished.
This third book in the series picks up right where book 2 leaves off. Honestly despite the fact that we get somewhere with both Rory's sister and finally with Levi I felt like this book was kind of stringing us along for quite a bit of the story..
Off to a meeting with the elders our FMC and her entourage know that its a trap, and that all the elders want to use her as a weapon and yet they still pack up and head that way only to be set upon time and time again the whole time. Rory's sister is finally awake with ... "side effects." We finally get Levi in the spot light for a brief hot second before Z ruins everything like she do.. I did appreciate that Rory is starting to really come into her powers a bit more but now there is a weapon that can be used against her.. If only we knew who all had access to it?
I think I am ready to see a little faster plot progression here and I'm a little intimidated by the fact that this is supposed to be a 12 book series.. How many books will be drug out before we finally get to the end? I'm still excited about the series though just a little on the wary side. I do love these characters. Tucker really shines in this one with his charming humorous self..
Honestly, I didn’t much care for Rory when I first started reading this series. She was kind of presenting like a self-centered, overconfident Pia from the Elder Races Series by Thea Harrison (I freaking LOVE that series, fairies). Petty officer kept tie control over the character, and Rory has been growing and maturing beautifully! So kudos to Ms. Olivia, because this series hinges on Rory and her men, chronicling the paths she must take as she harnesses the Powers she’s been infested with: the power of the dragon gods. This story engulfs you from the first page, drags you into the action and adventure, the danger and romance, keeps you enthralled by the edge-of-your-seat excitement of the fight scenes as well as the deadly Intrigue of dealing with mafia dragon Bosses out to make Rory an offer she can’t afford to refuse. Loving the ride. Only negative thing to add is: where’s the rest?? I want more! Bring it, wench! Order take-out and put in a catheter! Rabid Readers don’t allow time off for cooking or potty breaks! Just kidding. (Not kidding!) Lays potato chips, baby. Totally Lays. No one can eat just one!
I think that this book is it for me with the series. It's just different organisations wanting a piece of Rory and taking turns on who attacks her. Rory displays her power and makes a big speech about being left alone. Introduce a bad guy, kill said bad guy. I'm okay with a bit of repetition but this is too much in just three books and I just wasn't interested in the newer bits. Rory is arguing constantly about how capable she is, while Irene is just a carbon copy of her with no unique characteristics. Tucker's my favourite and he was barely in it. Jace, my least favourite, was about 60% of the romance. There was a lot more Levi, but I found his resolution boring and easy, it was anti-climatic. Would I recommend it? Yes to the first book of the series, the rest is up to you. Will I be reading the rest of the series? To read five more books of the same plot pattern? No thank you.
Why did you read this book? I am slowly getting through a few RH series I put on hold.
What format did you read this book in? Read it as an ebook on Kindle.
Is this an educational book or a book for entertainment? I read this book for pure entertainment purposes.
What genres do you think this book belongs to? Fantasy, Romance
What was your favorite part in the book? SPOILERS My favorite part is when the whole gang shows up at the cave feral Levi took them to. It was a very difficult cave to get to and the fact that everyone made it shows how much they all care for her.
Who would you suggest this book to? Anyone who likes strong heroine’s, fantasy adventures, and RH light on romance.
What is your general opinion/ rating of this book? SPOILERS This was a good addition to the series. I am glad that the MC sister (Irena) is finally awake. It broke my heart that Levi was loosing himself to his dragon. After we get Levi’s back story, I could see why he turned feral. I am glad Levi killed all the guys who murdered his sister. I have mixed feelings about the dragon bosses. Some of them are going to make great villains. I am glad that the MC messed up Drew’s father’s face during the dueling. (That guy is the biggest prick ever.) I was a bit worried when they were captured by the Knights. Yet again the MC makes a daring escape. Overall, this was a good addition to the series and I am looking forward to how the addition of Irena into their gang will turn out.
Are there any cliché scenes or concepts? (If yes, does the author add something unique to them?) The main character ends up being the chosen one. The author adds her own flare to this troupe by forcing the special magic on the MC. Fated Mates, but the author makes the MC fight the attraction for their own good. Possessive and protective men, author show that the MC can take care of herself and is not damsel in destress.
How intense are the intimacy scenes? The scenes are detailed with little to no kink.
At what “burn” level is the romance? This series is at a medium-low burn.
Love interests, how many of them are there and what gender? Spoilers There are four love interests, all of them male. Jace- A powerful thunderbird dragon, MC fated mate, Boss of the Dojo. Drew- A powerful red dragon. Tucker- Son of the General of the Knights, Guns expert, Human. Levi- A feral blue dragon.

Rory finally has her sister in the dojo, where she can keep an eye on her for when she finally wakes up. When she finally does wake up, Rory has a lot of explaining to do and is hoping that her sister will understand since dragon killing was something that they were taught to do. Rory and her dragons are supposed to go and have a several day meeting with the other dragon bosses. They know it’s a trap, but they decide to go anyway. One of the bosses appears to be Rory’s friend, but she lets her know that when she gets with all the other bosses, she’s not gonna act like the same person she does when she’s with rory. Some of the dragon bosses try to offer Rory gifts to get her to be on their side, but she turns them all down. After the meeting with the bosses, she gets kidnapped by Levi. He takes her to some unknown place by the sea and her and him have a heart to heart about why he’s going feral. After that’s taken care of her other men find her and try to get her back to the dojo, but then they get kidnapped again by the nights. I did like the end of this book there’s a lot of action in it, but I’m hoping that the series ends soon. It is getting to be old and monotonous. I listen to this book on audible, and the narrator was the same one as the previous books.
The series seems to just get better and better. In this installment Rory has a meeting with the Bosses of the dragon families, except for the Vaer family who are persona non grata within the dragon community. She is glad to meet them so she can size them all up in person. Harper she already knows, and she has "met" Drew's father and brother, Jett and Milo Darrington. She briefly spoke to Issac Palarne, the others she has heard about but never really met. The meeting will be held on neutral ground, if there really is such a thing, but everyone will bring an army. Sounds like fun, right?
On top of this, Rory's sister, Irene, should wake up any time now, their is a mystery man after her (along with everyone else previously mentioned), Levi's feral dragon is close to taking over completely, and oh yeah, she is juggling two men while trying not to become mate-bound with a third. Good times.
Much excitement in this book, some good battles, the reveal of Levi's heartbreak, and Rory's dragon grows stronger. Can't wait to found out what happens next. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. My review is voluntary.
From pits and chains to dragon dojos to secret castles, life is never dull for Rory. Still merging with her dragon powers, and actual dragon waking under her skin, the ground may be shaky but an assassin never falters. She's got her sister back, she's got her team- her guys, and she's gotten a glimpse of freedom. Not The General, not Zurie, not a bunch of greedy dragon Bosses are going to slow her roll. This new player is just a thorn in her side.
Spoilers ahead. And the series explodes. So much happens in this installment! I know I title this part spoilers but any hints this time will just ruin it for the readers. I can't do it. It would be cruel. But I can honestly say how happy I am some things got resolved, to see what the sisters are becoming, to see the team actually becoming more than just satellites orbiting Rory and truly meshing. Rory's reaction to a dress! I laughed my butt off. I still have my questions about the chains, the phrase from the gods, and a couple other things that haven't been mentioned since books 1&2, but as a whole the series just keeps kicking butt and taking names.
I love everything about Olivia Ash’s Dragon Dojo Brotherhood series. It really is the perfect fantasy reverse harem romance adventure series, and not just because I have always had a weakness for well-written tales involving dragons. Now, in Blood of Dragons (Book 3), Rory is back and as kick-a** as ever - and as the dragon vessel that’s pretty mighty kick-a** indeed. I love the thrilling action in this book, with its magic and intrigue, and yes it hunks too. Most of all, however, I love how this is exactly the “young woman’s journey of justice, self-discovery, and freedom” promised in its publisher’s blurb. A pretty darn neat trick to pull of in a book that’s also pure fun to read. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
When I first started reading I absolutely loved this series. I fell in love with the characters and the world building. The spice levels were low, but growing as the story developed. FMC was strong and capable and the men were sexy and charismatic.
Then things slowed down. Spicy scenes faded to black and the story became predictable and repetitive. Once Rory built her family, the books switched from a romantic reverse harem fantasy to a YA fantasy that still had the main character in a reverse harem relationship. Zero RH scenes and the story was SUPER predictable.
I didn't end up finishing the series. Maybe I will one day, but it just didn't hold my interest anymore with my TBR ever growing. DNFed sometime during Queen of Dragons - book 7.
Phew! That was quite the adrenaline ride! I thought I was going to vomit my heart at so many points in the book! Gah! I don't know where to begin! I'm so happy we only have to wait until June!! Yes! I think I can make it! I don't think I could love Rory, her guys or the rest of her crew anymore than I already do. The plot advances fast and furious in this installment, so hang on tight! There's so much personal growth and relationship building too! I devoured this book, just like the tasty snack I'd make for a dragon! Love this story, love you, I'll be back for more! Thank you! 😊
The author says it all in the afterwards. Rory has grown both in strength and endurance. She has continued to stay loyal and protective of her dragons and her knight. Despite the overprotective instincts of her men, she still does Rory! I adore Tucker, Levi and Drew. Jace is not the one I would want to have a bond with but Rory seems to be mellowing him and he will be get trial to bear. Zurie is insane and Irena proves to be the sister worthy of rescue. So sick of the dragon bosses except Harper and general of the knights is a psycho! Can’t wait for the next.
I thought this was a trilogy when i first saw this series. (I guess I should have read further down in the summary) 😀 The reason why I am disappointed is because I like to have a series finished before reading. Now I have to wait for the next book, just like all of the other saps. 😢 Either way I am excited for the next book and hope the author's estimates on book releases is correct. I hate waiting, especially when I like a book and the characters. This series has been great. I like how the plot ends a drama scene but expands on another, yet does not drag on.
Rory reminds us and all the bosses that she’s a bad@ss and not to be played with. The world building and descriptions are wonderful in this book. I don’t think it was smart to bring Irena back to the embassy. They didn’t know where she stood. I also want to know why Rory wouldn’t ask Drew to do research on Levi once she found out his last name. Now that we know who he is and what he’s done, they had to have heard about the feral, rogue dragon. Rory really said she’s not choosing, while they’re all trying to compete. She said she’s having it all. Love that for her.
Blood of Dragons, the third installment in the Dragon Dojo Brotherhood is everything I was hoping for and more. I just want to live in this world Olivia creates. To prove time and time again what an absolute badass Rory can be..... It's amazing and so empowering. I again cannot wait to read the glace we get into Rory's world! This book answered a lot of questions and yet leaves you with even more now. Lol Love it!
Totally mind blowing. This series gets better and better. Watching Rory growing unto her power is awesome, she has come such a long way. My favourite dragon has finally shifted back to being human, totally rocks. So enthralled with this series and so looking forward to the next book. Highly recommend.
The plot thicken's as new discoveries are made. The team grows as another member is added and one brought back from dying. Despite their differences the guys are getting along and they keep proving their loyalty is to Rory. Rory continues her badass ways while she continues to stretch her limits, frustrating the Bosses who want her for themselves.
These books have kept me wanting more and more from the first one to this one. There is action romance and explosions. Things that keep me well engrossed. I recommend Olivia ash highly. I have to wait for the 4th book so I'm going to go ahead and try another one of her series. Happy reading everyone!!!!!
Not a bad installment I just wish things with Zurie weren’t so convoluted and taking the long way to accomplish. I know this is to drive the plot but it’s a bit too obvious I think.
I really am enjoying this journey though. I really like Rory and the guys.
I enjoyed this series so far but now with this book I’m feeling more invested in all the characters. I loved Jace being softer with Rory even if it’s mostly due to exhaustion I needed that from him. He was still too rough around the edges for me to enjoy. And sweet Levi and Tucker have my whole heart.
Finished this in one afternoon! Could not put it down! Love this world, and the all the characters in it! (Even the villains are interesting! ) Can't wait for book #4!
Big Sister!!! I get why she did it, but sheesh secrets! And my boo Levi!!! Good to see you! And if Rory ever decides to share... Drew please and thanks.
This series is well written. I love reading about Rory’s adventures in life and romance. I have to admit that Levi is my favorite though. I was so happy to read more about him. I can not wait to see what happens next in the dragon dojo world!
I cant wait until the next book comes out! If you like a bad ass female lead, action, fighting, suspense and a little steamy action w multiple male characters and.... Magic and dragons.... This is your series!
While Book 2 felt like filler, this one really moved the story along. Levi - man. Amazing moment. Can’t wait for the next chapter because Zurie needs to die. Just sayin’. Lol
I've always enjoyed this. Actually this is very behind, I am currently waiting for the author to release the next book in the series. But, I heard it got pushed back. But, this is definitely a good book to wait for.
