This is the final book in this series and ties together all the loose ends as it goes off in all directions in non-stop exciting action that doesn’t stop! Everett, a powerful tiger shifter, rescues his fated mate Tracy, a mountain bobcat shifter, at the Casablanca Circus chaos, grabbing her by the scruff of her neck and racing away from the velvet curtains behind the circus. Men who smelled like shifters had shown up, but Tracy had no idea what their animals were. The tiger grabbed her and ran! Tracy demanded he put her down until her bobcat told her they were not being kidnapped but were being taken away by their mate! She and her twin had been joking about finding their mates here, but she hadn’t actually believed they would! However, he was heading toward the ocean and she did not want to be in the water, despite his assertion that tigers were excellent swimmers! He told her that her sister would be safe with her mate Darius just as Tracy would be safe with him.
When Everett assigned her the name “Eliza” since she wouldn’t tell him hers, she was outraged. He explained the reference to Eliza Doolittle from the play Pygmalion where a sophisticated Englishman (and Everett himself had a British accent) who teaches a rude, uneducated girl how to speak properly and teaches her manners. Before she could retort something back, he turned and walked toward the ocean! As he stepped into the water, he changed into his human form and she was mesmerized! He was pulling a boat she hadn’t even noticed onto the shore. As he turned toward her, she suddenly felt herself shift back to human as they stared at each other. She moved toward him for their first kiss, the kiss that started the bond between them, when suddenly the sound of the ocean ceased and she saw only black as she realized a dragon was attacking them. And the vicious female dragon thrust her razor-sharp wingtip from behind, piercing Everett’s heart! Was this all the new mates would have of each other? Was there no way to change their fate?
This book was absolutely wonderful! The fun-loving banter and teasing of the two cats was perfect! Tracy is so innocent compared to Everett’s sophistication and charm, and it made them so right for each other. There is so much more going on in this story line, so grab your copy and see what happens when it seems the end was reached all too soon! This is such a well-written book that will leave a lasting impression on the reader! You seriously will not want to miss this one!
I received this book as a gift through BookSprout as an advanced read copy, and I would like to give an honest opinion of what I read.
This is the last book in the series Curves For the Sifters. Now the first three books are stand a lone books. The book Taken For the Lion ended in a cliffhanger. This is something that Annabelle does not do but had to in this chase and after reading the story I understand more. It would be really helpful to the reader to read Taken for the Lion before this one and it would cut out a lot of confusion. That being said all I can say about this ending to the series is WOW! What and ending, to an absolutely fascinating story. There are so many rabbit trails this couple goes through. Tracy is a bobcat shifter, and Everett is a tiger shifter. The story starts out with him in his tiger form having rescued her from what was happening at the circus with Darius the lion shifter, and his mate and Tracy’s sister Lacy.
Once Everett get Tracy away from the danger and out by the beach they kiss to beginning their mating and to form their mated bond. Unfortunately all they got to do was kiss but for the dark dragon swallowed them whole. At the end of the previous story Lacy and Darius had just killed themselves to be able to go and help these two. Darius and Lacy have already completed their bond, and are coming to help these two to overcome their present struggle in order to fulfill their destiny. There are so many twist and turns in this story that it is impossible to give much more information. They are trying to give balance to the female dark dragon, the shifter half of Adam the dragon shifter’s mother. They have to do this before she destroys the whole world. There are so many things going against them and it is a wonder to see how this story is played out. A story that is well worth the time to read. Totally awesome.
Allegorical? Maybe…HOT! Definitely…Deeply meaningful…You decide. Tracy, the twin of Lacy from TAMED FOR THE LION, is literally swept off her feet and carried out by the scruff of her bobcat’s neck when trouble strikes the circus they had come to observe. The real reason they are there is in TAMED, but it’s basically a matter of connecting fated mates. Tracy’s protector and fated mate is Everett, a tiger shifter. I loved the passion that Tracy and Everett show for one another. Tracy’s description of her tiger in man form is whoa…fanning myself ;-) This story was much deeper philosophically than any of the other books in this series. It deals with Light and Darkness, shame, love and so many other emotions. There are many dark moments in their journey to safety and happiness. This book could almost be an allegory for how shame of our past haunts who we are today and that love will save you if you let it. It was even a little Scrooge in Christmas past, present and future. I loved the beginning and the ending. The middle was a little too philosophical for me. I can understand why Ms. Winters admits that this book “took a lot out of her” because it gets very intense in that portion. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes recommended for lovers of paranormal romance with profound meaning. I give it 3.5 stars.
This is one wonderful suspense filled love story where we get the journey of Tracy, a bobcat and Everett, a tiger. In this final story in this series we learn what unconditional love is along with finding what the good, bad, light and darkness means to them as shifters and fated mates. One day while Everett and Tracy are at a circus in Casablanca they unknowingly find each other and once trouble breaks out he grabs her by the scruff of her neck and runs away from the danger until a new scary danger starts their journey learning about shifters, fated mates and their own paths in the universe. They are very fortunate that they are able to kiss to get the bond started before everything falls apart. Tracy and Everett must learn to balance their connection to their animals, human and each other to find a way back to their family and friends. Will the black she dragon ever find the peace she is seeking or will the unknowns destroy them before they become truly mated and live a long life filled with endless days in love? I enjoyed catching up with the crew and seeing how they each play a part in the ending - Adam, a Dragon and his mate Ash, Caleb, a wolf and his mate Magda, a fox and witch, Darius, a lion and his mate Lacy, a bobcat and my favorite- Bart, a bear and his mate Bismeeta. 4 stars I received a free copy of the novella Taken For The Tiger: Curves For The Shifters book 5 by Annabelle Winters and this review was given freely. A steamy story of unconditional love. Everett the Tiger shifter rescues his fated mate Tracy the Bobcat in the Casablanca Circus debacle only for them to be killed and consumed by the Black She- Dragon before they can do more than kiss. This is a dramatic twisted yet profound tale switching between traveling time/memories and the mystical worlds of light and dark watched over by Bart and Ash’s Bear Shifter parents. Everett and Tracy try to find not only balance within themselves and a way to reconnect with their animals but also to find the woman that was Murad's mate thus bringing balance to the Dragon family and peace to the world. However, the only way Magda could harness enough power to stop Murad and help the fated couple is by drawing on the combined strength and teachings of their crew of mated Shifters:Adam the Dragon and Ash his mate; Bart the Bear and Bismeeta the Leopard; Caleb the Wolf and Magda the Fox, Darius the Lion and Lacy the Bobcat. Age 18+. Contains a fair amount of graphic violence including suicide and murder.
In chapter 21 Tracy comments to Everett “this is a romance story, not a tragedy!’ Anyone who follows Annabelle Winters knows that the romance story comment is a major understatement because she writes much more than your typical romance story. Her storyline plots are complex edgy, powerful, intense, suspenseful and thought provoking. This final story in her Curves for Shifters series was all the above and more from it’s shocking beginning to its final surprising and satisfying epilogue. Tracy and Everett’s quest to save the world and their light and darkness experiences is a real page turner. I never like to give specific plot details because writing is an author’s livelihood. In my opinion Tracy and Everett’s story is an entertaining read and a wonderful conclusion to this series. I highly recommend. I was given a copy of this book by the author. This is my honest opinion.
Taken for the Tiger by Annabelle Winters is the fifth and last book in the Curves for Shifters series. This book begins where book four left off. In this book, Tracy a Bobcat shifter and her fated mate Everett the Tiger shifter have to save the world. (That’s all I’ll say because of spoilers.) This book is an exciting mix of myth, adventure, and love. It definitely is the perfect wrap up book for the entire series while still telling the story of Tracy and Everett. You won’t want to miss this book the ending is so unusual and amazing! Taken for the Tiger is a fated shifter love that lasts through the darkness and light.
What a wonderful end to this series. With a few twists turna, darkness and light, this tiger and bobcat must come to terms with the with their shame. They also have to find the dragons human body, but that is more difficult than they think. Thrse two are fated mates and with a little help fron her sister and her mate, they try to solve the fate that is meant to be. This book is part of a series and to understand the whole story it is best to start from the begining. This shifter series is definately a must read
This is the final book in this wonderful series and finally we get all the loose ends tied up that have gone from book to book you could read these as stand alone but there is an underlying story throughout so you are better to read them all in order.
This is the story of Everett a tiger shifter with a British accent and Tracy a bobcat he rescues her and knows that she is his mate but will danger rip them apart before they even have a chance to be together. This is an extremely intense book and may not be for all but it does finally tie up all the characters in this series stories
WOW!! Absolutely Amazing! It is wild ride of excitement, drama, suspense, humour, witty banter, and intrigue. A fast pace engaging page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what is to happen next. The characters are strong; their chemistry is off the charts, and the sex scenes that are well written. Seeing a well written series come to an end always makes me a little sad, but this was a beautiful end to an amazing series. A MUST READ!

I liked this book. It is the final book in this series and it provides the answers readers have been waiting for. The book's story line serves up plenty of drama, intensity, twists, deep emotions, action, passion and romance to keep you entertained. A very good read. This is my voluntary, honest review.
Everette is a tiger shifter and Tracy a bobcat shifter just like her twin Lacy from Tamed For The Lion. Taken for the Tiger is the final book in the Curves for the Shifters series and is a great way to end the series. This book has it all drama, angst, action, steam, romance and so much more. Great writing and a page turning story about fated mates. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I should have known that this was not the first book in the series but just grabbed blindly for a book to read - with that being said - I loved the beginning and the ending. However, in the middle is where it got really really philosophical and intense.
Overall, I plan on added the rest of the series to my reading TBR list. Future me can enjoy the journey from the beginning. :)
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! This was a great book ! This is the final book in the series. It is time to save the world. Loved the characters + the storytelling ! It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
Tracy and Everett’s story is a great way to tie up the series. Some action, drama, adventure and a lot of loose ends are tied up! I suggest readibg the whole series you won't be disappointed!
Wow!!! Absolutely an Amazing Book.. Amazing Series of Books!!!
I would recommend this Series & More to Everyone!!! I couldn't put the Books down!! When I did... I started reading the next in the Series!!! Anabelle Winters could make Movies with this Series!!!
I really enjoyed the series. This book the last one, was a little more mystical than the others. I wasn't expecting it to be dark vs light, thrown in good vs evil. A lot different than your regular paranormal romance.
