Hold You Down: Ahmad and Pia: A Matin Novel
In this installment of the Matin series, you get to read about Ahmad who is also Ameer’s son. He fell in love with Pia at a young age, and their budding relationship took them on a series of highs and lows. Ahmad and Pia are fighting to be happy in a world that’s continually trying to pull them apart. Ahmad loves Pia with all of his heart, but his young mind has him making bad decisions. With his mother’s family re-entering into his life, he finds himself even more confused about the right thing to playing ball or following in his father’s dangerous footsteps. Pia wants nothing more than to be with Ahmad. From the age of eleven, she's been in love with him. Pia gives up everything to have him in her life and starts to feel unappreciated as his lies surface, along with an unruly ex-girlfriend that can’t seem to let him go. As Pia begins her life with the one Matin man that she can't seem to live without, chaos breaks loose in her life, and she finds herself questioning if being with Ahmad is worth the stress? Pia can stay down and wait for better days to come, or she can leave and make her own way. Its a decision that she isn't going to want to make but will have no choice but to. This is a full novel.

I have slot to say
First Kaseema and Pia was way to young to be in love with anyone. Second Kaseema what did she think was gone happen Shyy got shot twice by her father because he tried to break it off but she wouldn't let him. I just am not happy about the way Kaseema behaved and the choices she made. Quavo shouldn't have had a chance she was sixteen pregnant with twins come on. This whole book damn near rocked my nerves.

The Matins
The whole series has been incredible but this goes directly into Ahmad and Pia. I love the swirl of other characters and how they connected. Rowan got what she deserved as well. Can't wait for your next great series!

So good
This was a great read. I love all the Matin men. I was upset with Ahmad at first but he redeemed himself. I happy Kaseema ended up with Quavo, it seemed like he was the right choice. Great read

Those damn Matins
My goodness I love this family. They fight and love each other right or wrong. I recently discovered this author and I had to go back and start reading her stories they appear to be connected and that's a great thing to me.

The Matin
The book was great but these girls were a hot mess. Kaseema should have stayed in a child's place instead of going after a man that was already taken. Pia was just naive and to blind to realize see that Ahmad was still childish.

I didn't think Ahmad would ever get right. The love was always there but temptation seemed to always win. Pia tried and although I was upset with how she handled things after the initial wedding I was glad she finally did what was needed to get herself together. Xeruis was a weak dude and got just what he deserved. I was so disappointed in Ahmad. He soaked completely and getting mixed up with Tuck didn't make things any better. Ameer held out longer than I expected him to but it was way past time to let Ahmad know the real. Rowan had serious issues but Pia finally handled it with ease. Rocky definitely came through and although her past wasn't squeaky clean I liked what she was building with Bucks. Lawd Kaseema was being grown and forgot who her daddy was. Kasam was still a loose canon but he had to allow her to make her own mistakes. Shyy could've handled things differently but his actions caused more damage. I can't forget about Portia and Angel's worrisome asses. They were constantly going too far and look where that left them. There were some bumps, envy and dreams that seemed to go down the drain but through it all Ahmad and Pia still found a way to hold each other down.
