The Klepto-books have cute art, gentle jokes, and fun references, but for me, they don’t add up to anything very readable. Maybe they’re more enjoyable for fans of the games, but I get the feeling these guidebooks are intended to stand on their own. My daughter loves them, and she hasn’t played the games, either, so maybe I’m just not the target audience.

I guess this is based on a game. The unicorns within are cute if a bit simplistic for me. The sense of humor in here is sweet with just a dash of naughty. This would probably be enjoyed best by a fan of the game. My rating is 2.5 rounded up for Goodreads.

My daughter gives this 5 stars and states that she loves it! Here mother found it to be amusing but was confused because she is old and uncool. Some parts were rather amusing.
