Ivy Morgan and Jack Harker are going camping … again. It’s meant to be a romantic vacation, a time when they can simply lay under the stars and enjoy one another before plans for their wedding begin in earnest. It doesn’t quite turn out that way. When Ivy’s brother Max invites himself along for the ride – along with his new girlfriend, who he’s trying to impress – Jack isn’t happy. Ivy, however, is curious enough about the woman who has stolen her brother’s heart – seemingly out of nowhere – to allow it. Because it’s Jack and Ivy, things don’t go smoothly. Their first night at camp results in the death of a woman who looks a lot like Max’s girlfriend. Things only spiral more out of control from there. Ivy is in a tough spot. She’s loyal to her brother beyond imagination but there’s something about Amy that doesn’t ring true, and Ivy is determined to find out every single one of the woman’s secrets. When murder follows them home, things become dire, and it’s Ivy who must use her new abilities (along with a little help from her friends) to sort things out. Murder is on the menu and it’s going to take everyone working together to make it out alive.

Another camping trip, another body. This time, it's an ex-husband bent on revenge. Unfortunately, the ex is Max's current love interest, Amy. She's not forthcoming with important information, though, and that puts lives at risk. Alls well that ends well, though, and Max may have found his life's mate.

Of course the dynamic duo come across another body. This time they are camping when it is discovered (like their last camping trip). At least this time Max has a girlfriend. I wondered if he’d ever have a lady friend (or even a man friend) written into this series. It looks like Amy will be in future books as well. Hopefully she warms up a little and begins to relax more since her stalker and abuser is brought to justice (and what a way to be brought down, Ivy! Lol)
Max has a new girlfriend, Amy, one who's lasted beyond a handful of dates, he's on edge because he's really falling fast.
Jack is taking Ivy camping for the weekend, after the last few weeks of murder and mayhem they want a peaceful break by themselves to recover.
Max throws a huge, monstrous spanner in Jack's plans by inviting himself and Amy along on the trip. There's lots of moody posturing as the two men deal with setting up camp and trying to out buff each other!
Ivy's having little fun as Amy appears to be avoiding her and it makes her suspicious of the pretty, little blonde.
The tension explodes when, as evening approaches fast, Max heads off into the twilight to grab the lanterns and Amy, avoiding conversation goes alone to get fresh water.
As Max returns and exchanges heated words with Ivy and Jack over letting Amy walk off alone screams rend the night. A body has been found by another camper and when Max see's it he totally breaks down convinced it's Amy.. the blame for her loss he piles, thick and fast, onto Ivy and Jack, who are already blaming themselves.
Amy however isn't the victim, she reappears having wandered off route to eat berries.. Max isn't ready to forgive though and once the state police have done questioning everyone they head to their respective tents in high dudgeon.
Things settle down the following morning but Ivy's still sensing something off about Amy, and she's not going to rest until she's got the truth and the killer is found.
Ivy and Jack are giving camping another try and Ivy's brother Max has invited himself bland his latest girlfriend Amy along ------much to Jacks dismay-------- Amy seems nice but a little distant whereas Max is acting like Amy just may be his forever love. The couple's are only at the campground a few hours when a woman is found dead, at first there is some confusion over whether it's a murder or an accidental death but next day the coroner confirms the lady was murdered and her husband is arrested for the crime. The death puts a bit of a damper on the camping trip so the group leave early going home only to find next day there's been another woman murdered nearby and both women resemble Amy.
Now that was an interesting Jack and Ivy mystery, I loved the introduction of Amy with Max and not truly knowing if she was going to be a goodie or a baddie was fantastic I kept changing my mind with each new twist...lol. Can I just say congrats to Jack for not having multiple complete and total meltdowns during this story...lol it shows how much he's grown...lol I know and love that he will always be so lovingly protective of ivy but this story showed he's not always completely over the top.
Having a guest appearance from John Winter's was a nice touch I really enjoy the linking between series it brings them altogether more.
Wicked Respite begins when Ivy and Jack decide to go camping again. However, Max wants to bring his new girlfriend along and things get complicated when another dead body shows up. Now, Ivy knows something is up with Max's new girlfriend and she wants to figure it out, especially when danger follows them home.
This book was really good and I enjoyed Max getting someone special as well. I thought it had a different aspect than usual in this series, and I loved it. The only thing I will say is that Ivy and Jack should just give up on camping.
I had just been thinking the last book that I wished Max had someone, so it was super great to read the story info. It didn't disappoint in any way. Lots of interesting story for our characters. Everything went along well and was an interesting read. I would say I liked this one the best so far but I think I feel that way about each book as I finish.
All Lily Harper Hart's books are worth reading in this series and her others. As well as her Amanda M Lee books.
That did not play out like I was thinking it would. Love being surprised. This series keeps getting better, looking forward to the next. In this edition Ivy and Jack are going camping and looking for some alone time. Unfortunately Max inserts himself and his new girlfriend Amy into the trip. Jack is not happy, but Ivy wants to get to know Amy and help Max out. Yet another camping trip goes awry with another murder and unfortunately the killer follows them home. Exciting new book.
I always enjoy my visits with Ivy and her people! The characters are a delight (although Ivy can be a bit much sometimes), and the mystery is well-written with dark undertones that provide an edge and an appropriately magical touch. The barely there crossover with Maddie's brother-in-law is a nice touch, too. And this may very well be my favorite ending to date in this series; Max certainly deserves it!
I truly love Ivy and Jack. They have a unique relationship and great chemistry. I love the humor and sarcasm this series has, I completely identify with it! This one has them camping and Max coming along uninvited with his new lady love. Things go sideways like always and now they have a murderer to catch. Enjoyable as always!
This author is a favorite of mine because of her sarcastic and quirky characters who always seem to find themselves in the worst situations possible, but manage to get out of them with some help from friends. If you enjoy strong female characters, a bit of magic, a suspenseful mystery, romance, and snarky/sarcastic dialogue you will love this book!
I absolutely loved reading Ivy and Jack's latest adventure! I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I won't say much about the story. I will say that it's wonderful that Ivy is embracing her magical side more. I really love how all of the characters are with each other. The snark is amazing and hilarious!
Lily Harper Hart has woven a other fantastic story about Ivy Morgan. This is definitely one of the best and I was sad that I finished the book. I will be not so patiently waiting for the next installment of Jack and Ivy. There are also some new characters to fall in love with. This is definitely Italy books read.
I love this series and am really excited for the future books. There are two downsides, 1 the books are so good I read them in one day, and 2 that I have to wait for the next book. If you haven't read any of this series I suggest you start at the beginning. I guarantee you'll get hooked like the rest of us. Enjoy
Our two love birds cannot cut a break! Another camping trip gone side ways from the romantic weekend they thought they were going to have. Ivy’s brother is in love with a mystery woman and invites her to join his sister’s camping trip. The bodies start to pile up.
this story just kept moving. I love their relationship actually all the relationships. It just kept at a great pace. The story gets all wrapped up nicely. I felt like I was in the story watching that's how well She describes the scene or my imagination fits well with these SERIES. I Love Them.
This is another winner. I have read over 55 books and loved everyone one. I highly recommend all her books and different series. I have read at least 8 different series. She writes great mysteries and her characters are wonderful and great love stories. Diana Romano
Parts of this book were absolutely boring, and I skipped a bit. Just a little too much waxing poetic about how they met and what not. And I don’t approve of people telling lies in a relationship. Also, warm potato salad is absolutely delicious. You should try it sometime.
Five hearts or five star's for Lily Harper Hart New Ivy Morgan Mystery, both work just fine! At last Max has someone to love that deserves love!! I really hope Any sticks around for a long time and we get to know JJ!
I thoroughly enjoyed tagging along on Jack and Ivy's camping trip. Of course, things go wrong when a body is found and the story takes off from there. I enjoyed the introduction of a new character and will be watching to see how she develops. All in all a great way to spend a July 4th afternoon

I came for the magic and romance, but the mystery kept me reading faster. Any is a great new character, complex and not AS annoying as I expected. I hope she loses the giggle, though, I never like any character who giggles past infancy.
Lily Harper Hart has written another good book in the Ivy Morgan series. The story was engaging and entertaining. I love that Max had a big part in this book. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
Just when I thought Ivy Morgan books couldn't get any better, Lily Harper Hart throws out another amazing book!! I did not see this one coming at all, and am so glad I couldn't guess what was going to happen!! Another amazing read!
Book 14 and I still love the characters. The mystery is intriguing. And Max has a girlfriend, yoohoo! Still more to come. The wedding is coming up in book time. I bet it is going to be a doozy.
Her voice makes the older detective and the dad sound like a 90 year old man. Her voice makes any sound like a stuck up girl. I loved reading the series, this was my first audio book for the series. Completely ruined it. Decent story. Terrible voice performance
Max and his new girlfriend Amy invite themselves along on Jack and Ivy's romantic camping weekend. Then a woman who resembles Amy is murdered, and the group has to make things right.
Ivy and Jack are great! They are so in love and have the most distracting lives! I thoroughly enjoy the family aspect, the family dynamic, and their bravery in making things right. So great, I wish each book could be longer. And now Max? Wowed!
Max has found himself a girlfriend and he really likes her. She's carrying around a troubled and dangerous past. It was so enjoyable to see Max act like a complete idiot over a girl. Ivy has a scene at the end with a truck that her comments made me laugh out loud.
