At twenty-five, Wren Cooper knows exactly what she wants: a job writing for a successful blog, to work with her best friend, and to snag the hottie she’s crushed on since she was a teen.
The problem? He’s her boss.
Being the city’s most eligible bachelor and CEO of the wildly popular blog, OurGen, shouldn’t be that hard for Wilder Owens. When a sexy, smart-mouthed young woman from his past accepts a role at his business, he discovers being the boss isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
There’s no denying the chemistry between Wilder and Wren. If only Wilder could get past his own self-imposed “no dating employees” rule and Wren could relax and finally admit to her feelings after all this time. Will they stop arguing long enough to notice what’s right in front of them?
m.m. clem lives in a small town, in the heart of Indiana, with her husband, three kids, and her big black dog, Leela. Besides writing, she enjoys reading, photography, sleeping, and watching her daughter dance. When she’s not busy writing or reading, you can find her chauffeuring her kids to band practices and competitions, club meetings, dance practice and dance competitions, or fiddling around on social media. She loves her Netflix, country music, anything sweet to eat, and iced tea. Sarcasm is her second language.
Thank you Enticing Journey and the author for an advanced copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
51 Bad Dates By: M. M. Clem
*REVIEW* 💋💋💋💋 51 Bad Dates is just as fun and charming as the cover suggests. I love cute romcom covers, so I was immediately drawn to this one. Wren has had a crush on this guy, Wilder, since forever. He doesn't know how Wren feels about him. Wilder ends up being Wren' s boss, and her assignment is to go on one date each week for a year, and blog about the results. Yikes! That's a lot of first/bad dates. Wren is so funny and witty as she endures this never ending parade of guys. I like her character because she's sassy and smart. Wilder realizes he doesn't necessarily like watching Wren go on these dates. Maybe he's had a crush on her, too? Wilder is a sexy charming witty guy, and he needs to come clean before it's too late. Will Wren ever admit how she really feels about Wilder, or will she meet someone else on one of these dates? I seriously love how funny this book was. It's a delightful romcom full of quips, quirks and questionable behavior on the road to true love. Overall, a lovely read that I certainly recommend!
This would be the first book that I've read by MM Clem and I can't wait to read more by this author I just can't believe I haven't had one of her books in my kindle . The characters and story line really drew me in from start to finish and the story line just had me in . Just everything about 51 Dates held my attention I didn't want it to but what a ending people . The chemistry between the couple was off the charts amazing and just loved the banter they shared . I can't wait to read more by this author in the future .
I adore Wilder & Wren! Their chemistry was phenomenal. And the bad dates had me literally laughing out loud! Looking forward to the next book in this series
M.M. Clem is a new to me author, and I find myself kicking myself, because she's another awesome author, whose party I came fashionably late to. Wren has dreams, and to most, they're not too complicated to achieve. She wants to write for a successful blog, and get together with her big crush. Sounds simple right?! Yeah not so much, as the dude she's been crushing on for a cool minute (since she was a teenager as he was her bestie's brother's best friend & OH MY HELL that was something complicated to write) is her boss, Wilder, who won't go against his rule of dating employees. However, Wilder finally lets her write something for the blog, and her first piece will be 51 Bad Dates, which will have her going out on at least one first date a week with different dudes, so obviously, she can't have any repeats. And OMG this is when the story becomes hilarious, because you already know first dates are definitely fodder for a comedy act these days, so her assignment has her ready to hit the road with her act. The bonus becomes Wilder is getting more upset with each new blog describing her adventures, as he realizes he may have made a mistake, because he's harboring some feelings secretly. So, does he keep her on the story for the whole 51 Bad Dates while suffering in silence? Or will he man up, and even lighten up about his no dating employees rule?! You'll have to read this hysterically funny story to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
51 Bad Dates by m.m. clem is a quirky, delightful, lighthearted story about how to and not to find love. With some extremely weird and hilarious dates this book will keep you laughing and hoping that the heroine will win in the end. 51 Bad Dates is charming, funny and you won’t be able to put it down. 5-stars for 51 Bad Dates and look for the second book in the Bad Date series coming in the spring.
Wren Copper has been crushing on her best friend’s older brother’s best friend for years. After getting a job working for Wilder Owen’s blog company, Wren works just a hard to keep her feelings in check as she does being his personal assistant. When Wilder finally gives her chance to write for the blog her assignment is out of this world. Wren must go on at least one date each week for a year and write about it for the monthly blog. Wilder now must suffer each month as he reads about the outrageous dates that Wren goes on and he worries that she just might find Mr. Right before she gets to date #52.
This was my first book by this author and I have no idea how I missed it... Wren has dreams and they are simple dreams but what seems simple is actually that simple at all. She wants to write for a successful blog and score that hottie she crushed on since she was a teenager. Well she scores a job at OurGen a new hot blog but that hottie just so happens to be her new boss and has a stric no dating employees policy and writing for the blog is harder than she expected. Wilder Owen is a successful eligible bachelor and ceo of OurGen and while hes attracted to Wren and they have amazing chemistry he cant get past his policy. Wilder finally gives her a chance to write her frist post for the blog 51 bad dates chronicling a frist date every week for a year. And we all know how funny and horrible first dates can bd, but will he be able to watch her date and read about a new guy every week or will he act on this connection they have had for years.... Hilariously funny sweet with a first class bunch of characters. Soooo what are you waiting for!?
4 Highly Entertaining stars!! OMG if I wasn't laughing one minute I was sighing the next!
I went into this book totally blind. I didn't read the blurb, I just thought the cover was super cute and figured why not! And boy am I glad I did! This is a seriously adorable and funny book! And that's just want I needed right now! I love a book that will take you away from reality and fully submerse you into their reality! I fell in love! I'll be reading more from M.M in the future!
51 Bad Dates is the book you need to get you out of any sort of funk. It's absolutely hilarious, sweet, swoony, and witty. I adored the style of writing just as much as I adored Wren and Wilder!
Wren was amazing. She is confident, sweet, and sassy. Once she gets her first writing job she jumps all on it. She goes through many trials on these dates. Yet you can't help but to relate with her. We've all had some horrendous dates ladies, Wren's dates mirror what we've all been through. Then in the background you have a steamy but sweet romance building between Wren and Wilder. Gives them more heart when they do finally come together. Wilder is a stupid man, but he's lovable 😂. Many times I wanted to smack him and yell "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG", but you honestly can't help falling in love with him!
M.M. Clem is a new to me author and after 51 Bad Dates I plan on stalking her so I can read more from her!
This is my first time reading this author and holy smokes! I don’t know if I have ever laughed so hard in my life! I laughed until I snorted and also until I had I tears in my eyes!
Never have two people been more clueless. Wren and Wild are attracted to each other, but Wild is Wren’s boss. In Wild’s eyes, Wren is forbidden. Talk about angsty. There is no instant gratification in this book. What there is...is 51 bad dates.
Wren’s best friend, Jana, comes up with an idea for the entertainment blog they work for. The idea is simple..52 dates Bachelorette style. Wren is asked to do the serial dating and blog about each encounter. She is hoping to find Mr. Right....
What she finds is...you guessed it....51 Bad Dates. You guys, I can’t even with this book! There is no way I could even make this shit up. These dates are nothing short of hilarious 😆. If you are looking for your next laugh, this book is it!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC and this is my honest review
This book is exactly what I needed right now. It is funny, cute and oh so sweet. Some of the dates that Wren had to go on were absolutely hilarious, I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard reading a book. I liked the forbidden aspect that was thrown in, Wren having feelings for her boss and brother's friend Wilder. The chemistry between these two is everything. I loved their attraction to one another and their back and forth banter and don't forget the swoon worthy romance. Sigh. I loved this book so much. The storyline of this book instantly hooked me and I couldn't put it down. There is just something about Wren that is so relatable and I thought she had one of the coolest jobs. I highly recommend checking out this book!
As far as workplace romances go, 51 Bad Dates is a fun and quirky one. And their names! Wren and Wilder?!? Love it!
Wren has always had a crush on Wilder, her bestie’s brother’s best bud. Now that they are grown up, Wilder is the head of a major blog and Wren finagles herself a job. He has a strict no-dating-the-employees rule, and she’s still reluctant to admit that she likes him. But Wren’s assignment to go on one date a week for a year and blog about it just may force them both to admit to what is right in front of them.
The relationship didn’t sizzle for me as much as I would have liked it too, but Wren and Wilder were likable enough characters that the story captured my attention.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
Omg I LOVED this book so so much! It gave me the vibes from “How to loose a guy in 10 days”, “Never Been Kissed”, “Sex and the City” and so many other amazing movies, TV shows and books. I connected instantly to Wren and I loved the development throughout the story. I wish that I could own this book physically, but I can’t find it anywhere! This book might seriously be my favourite read of the year!
Wren has had a huge crush on her best friends’ older brother Wilder for years, and when she goes to work for him as his PA, the chemistry between them in undeniable. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written story which is sweet, light-hearted, witty, humorous, and an all round entertaining read. I highly recommend for all readers.
This book was so cute and funny and definitely had me in tears. The banter between the main characters was so awesome and I was so rooting for Wilder with his sexy butt. His play on the relationships that are his fault in the first place, just makes me smile. I can not wait to read more from this author.
This story was a fairly easy read. It's was cute and had it funny parts. I did find there were spots where it was slow. All in all I enjoyed the story. After Wren has to endure 51 Bad Dates that the 52nd just happened to be her HEA.
This was my first book by this author. I loved Wilder and Wren and the way the development of their characters. It was hot and steamy with an ending that left me very satisfied indeed!
This is a new author to me and I have to say I loved this book and her writing. I was laughing out loud at times then the next I was waiting for what would come out of her mouth. It is well written and the pace is great.
Wren had big dreams She wanted to write. She is fun and sassy and has a best friend in Jana who gets her a job. Jana begs Wilder Ownes to help her out.
Wilder is a playboy. He is a serial dater and he runs OurGen. He and Jana know each other because he is friends with her brother
Wilder thinks Wren is a wallflower, shy timid and likes to be in the background. He won't date or get involved with co-workers because of his father. Then she grows a backbone or so he thinks. Maybe she was just hiding who she really was. She is offered her chance to write. She just has to date and write in on the blog once a month.
I loved this book. I had so much fun reading it and the story of how they grow. How Wilder has to watch her date and then write about it while the whole time they feel something for one another. You know since she has a crush on him for a while.
I loved the comedy and the sweetness of this book, along with friendship and love. As I said before laugh out loud moments.
You better believe I will be reading some more of this author's books and I look forward to more when the next installment comes out
This was such an enjoyable book. I laughed, i giggled I loved it all. Wren has been mad about Wilder since the moment she saw him. Years later she works for him and gets to pine after him while doing her writing assignment of going on 52 dates. The fates themself are complete horror and laughter. Seriously I never want to date again after her dates! But she learned about herself with each one. She also knew what and who she wanted. It was an exhausting game of cat and mouse with these two but they even3got it right True love wins in the end as it should. Loved thia book and can't wait to read more!
