From USA Today bestselling author, Jane Anthony, comes an edge-of-your-seat intense, hot romantic suspense brimming with rockstar attitude.

Reclusive rock star. Notorious bad boy. Heir to a legacy.

As lead guitarist for Savages in Ruin, Wyatt Blue had the world by the balls. Sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll—life was a non-stop party, dripping in decadence ... until the day everything crashed and burned.

On a rain-slicked stretch of highway, the band's tour bus flipped, leaving one sole survivor to handle the wreckage.

Withdrawing to his mansion, Blue drowned his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. Cold, distant, and incapable of love.

Then, on the night he planned to end it all, a mysterious girl crossed his path, wild-eyed and drenched in blood.

Blue took her in thinking he could save her. But he never expected she'd be the one saving him .

This was a tough, challenging read and not an easy one! There was ache and sadness, emotional desolation and giving up on remaining alive. The pace and writing were perfect and the characters to die for!
Wyatt is a damaged character, broken, falling in the darkness after a disastrous incident. With a heart not worth a damn and a soul as black as ink.
A big bad wolf.
And out of nowhere, Willow invades his life. A young girl with no past, no future, and no last name. She just wants him, scars and all.
A lamb.
“She walks in the light while I hide in the shadows, fighting off the demons that hold me prisoner.” Wyatt
They share an insane connection.
“Sorry lamb. My ticket to Hades is one-way, single passenger.” Wyatt

And there came a moment that I could barely breathe, trying to find out what hit me. Because the whole world turned upside down.... 💔

Ok... first of all.... I really really have mixed feelings for this one (a little bit confused) and I think (after much thought!!) I will give it 3.5 to 4🌟🌟🌟🌟...Definitely it wasn't what I was expecting ....and surely not your average Rockstar romance!! It was raw, emotional and well written!! Also the twist..it was 😦😦😦 ....which I didn't see it coming!!

I finished reading this book last night in awe! I really loved Willow and the screwed up Wyatt Blue. I must say, today I’m still in wow of this book hangover. The build up was paced so good! The shock of the story and of the future events seriously made me cry. I’m still falling in love with these characters even after the book has ended.

I have no idea how to describe this book, I knew as soon as I read the prologue that this story was going to hit me right in the heart, and it did. Every beautiful poetic word spoke to me and all my emotions like nothing else. Depression and mental health are a big part of my life so Wyatt(blue) and Willow had My attention and empathy from the start. But this book is not what it seems it is very symbolic and full of hidden meanings. You will understand this when you read it.
It is such a haunting story so perfectly written and it flowed effortlessly thorough me and I couldn't put it down even if I tried.
Wyatt Blue and Willow are two lost souls broken and filled with guilt and sorrow, healing one another through a Love and connection so strong that no matter what they went through, it would always bring them back to one another.
I Loved Wyatt and his beautifully shattered pieces I wanted to fit them all back together like a jigsaw, I loved this book so much and I can't pin point exactly why it had a hold on me, but it sure did throw me a few curve balls. This is a Unique Rockstar Romance and I cannot wait for the second book I am so sure Frankie and Jett will hopefully tell us their story soon.
An Amazing read completely, addictive and another triumph for Jane Anthony.
I highly recommend it.

It's taken me a little while to write this review, but I needed to fully take in this twisty story. It's not dark, but it's emotionally raw. Jane's upcoming release is one that I will remember for a very long time. Blue has her blood, sweat, and tears in every word, and you can tell just from Wyatt's journey. The raw, painful rollercoaster this hot, insufferable rock star takes you on is nothing like I expected.

I thought I knew how this would play out. I thought I'd figured out the ending before I reached it, and then Jane throws me a curveball I never saw coming. Willow and Wyatt are made for each other, and only Jane could pull of dragging me into their world and making me feel all the pain, all the love, and all the redemption these characters go through.

Jane Anthony brings it in Blue, and watch out, it's an emotional rollercoaster!

How I loved this one, let me counts the ways that Jane Anthony had me locked down from start to finish with this surreal and amazing work of art disguised as a book. I couldn't stop reading it. She has obviously put her blood, sweat and tears into this unforgettable and creatively written masterpiece that tells the story of a broken man, Wyatt Blue, who drowns his sorrow in alcohol and finds life not worth living anymore. The past has taken away so much of the life he knew and the depths of despair he feels is irreparable. He's a reclusive rockstar, from the band Savages in Ruin, with no hope left in his body or mind until one night, while driving alone on a dark stretch of road, he comes across an ethereal angel, Willow, standing on a bridge in the middle of nowhere.

She can't remember why she's there or what's happened to her so he decides to take her home and this is the beginning of the one of the best stories I've read this year. Blue comes at Willow with plenty of sarcasm, wit and even though the daze, he's one hot, sexy man who is falling deeper into a building love story that feels meant to be, like fate brought these two together for them to heal each other.

Wow, by now you should be running to buy this book so you can find out for yourself what all the rave reviews are about.

There's not much one can or should say about all the twisty, WTH details because you really just need to get comfortable and settle in for however long it takes to read this in one sitting...I dont know how you couldn't LOVE every word. Perfection.

There is a bonus epilogue that continues where this one ends. Join Jane's newsletter like I did to get it and find a few more reasons to love Willow and Blue.

This book caught me a little off guard. I was not expecting it to be such an emotional ride. I thought it started out a little slow for me and took a little bit before it sunk it's teeth into me but when it did, I couldn't put it down. There is so much to Wyatt and Willow that you don't see coming. I am blown away with how their story turns out. I felt all the emotion right along with them and was a bit speechless when it was finished..This is the first book by Jane Anthony I have read and I am eager to read more.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jane’s flawless prose grabbed my attention from the first page. It’s been a long time since I’ve read magic realism. If you’re a fan of that kind of literature this is the book for you!

Blue (Wyatt) and Willow's story was such a freakin' roller coaster of emotions - from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. I admit to being slightly confused in parts, but by the time the ending came around, most of my questions had been answered. I would normally do a longer review, talk about the writing, the characters, etc. but since I absolutely refuse to spoil or ruin any tiny part of Blue, I'll just say that Blue is a step outside the usual rockstar romance. It's deeper, it's far more twisty-ish, and it's intriguing and heartbreaking all at the same time. It's a story that's gonna stick with me for a long time, of that I am very certain.

Talk about keeping me on the edge of my seat! This book was intense from the very first page until the very last. Full of suspense, heartbreak, drama and mystery I was constantly trying to figure out Willow and how she just happened to be right where she needed to be in Wyatt's greatest time of need. The two were definitely broken, but the author kept you hooked trying to figure out what could have happened to cause them both so much pain.

I loved the chemistry between these characters and the fact that Wyatt instantly felt the need to protect Willow even though he himself was struggling. This book is full of so much raw emotion that I could feel the pain that both Willow and Wyatt were feeling.

On top of the emotional roller coaster that I was taken on throughout this story, there were also some serious twists that I did not see coming thrown in. Every time I thought I had things figured out something else would happen and really there was no way I could have guessed how this would end.

This is a must read book for sure! I can't wait to get my hands on more of this series! - By Alisa

Wow! Just unbelievably wow! This book absolutely blew me away. This author took me on such an unexpected journey. I was captivated from beginning to end and totally fell in love with Blue and Willow. I never could have anticipated how this story would turn out. What a beautiful story of second chances that you never knew were possible. I can’t even fully describe how incredible this story is. This book also has all the feels like sadness, happiness, lust and even possibly love. Blue and Willow are such exceptional characters that will take you on a wild ride that you never want to end. I unequivocally recommend that you read this book. You will not be disappointed.

The heart and the mind have one common goal, to keep us alive! The way they each go about it is different but in the end they have the same goal LIFE! Wyatt and Willows heart and mind are at war trying to keep them alive! It’s a war that takes you on a journey of twists, turns and heartbreak that will leave you breathless! I couldn’t put this book down and I can’t wait for more of this group! I love that this story was more then a rockstar romance it was a story of survival and finding your place in this wild world! It’s about happiness and how we have to go through hell to get there but in the end it’s always worth it!

“I’ll fight for us until the bitter end and long afterward. Death can’t stop love. We’ll always find a way to be together.”-Wyatt

Blue is a heartbreakingly beautiful novel. Wyatt and Willow are both broken souls, their hearts and minds fighting to survive life. Their journey together is one filled with angst, turmoil, arousing heat, hope and love. There were so many surprising twists that kept me intrigued and invested in wanting so see where their journey would take them. Wyatt and Willow's story completely enraptured me and will stay with me long after the final page of this novel has been turned.

Sometimes there’s books you get the opportunity to read and know—just know—there’s gonna be something special about it. There’s books that leave you speechless when you reach the end. Books that make it hard to catch your breathe, books that hold on to you long after you’ve turned the last page. There’s gonna be books that have you begging for a little more angst, a little more pain. A book that will have you staying up way past your bedtime so that you can get a few more minutes with these amazing characters. Characters that Jane brings to life so well, their every thought and emotion jumps off the page and pelts against your skin until they bury so deep you’ll never forget them.

I had no doubt going into Blue that it was going to be one that gave me all of that. The one that was that book. The thing is, it didn’t just give me all that, it gave me more. By the time I finished Blue, everything around me was different. The colors more vivid. The sounds amplified. By the end, I felt alive.

When Wyatt and Willow meet on the bridge, the connection between them is so strong, so potent, that in that moment they begin to save each other. They begin to fall in love. Their interactions, their emotions, it all leads to a love story for the ages. A love that transcends time. A love that we all strive to find. Wyatt nor Willow was perfect, but together they’re something magical. They’re the broken halves to each others whole.

Wyatt and Willow will stay with me, and when I’m down, when I need to know that even the broken can be loved, I’ll pull out Blue and fall in love all over again.

Beautifully brilliant (review contains spoiler)

This was absolutely brilliant. It was compelling and gripping, beautiful and heartbreaking. My mind was constantly racing with different possibilities for how things could turn out. I could not put this down. Please note: slight spoiler ahead.

I almost gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it felt incomplete. I missed watching the fall in love. I would love to read more of Wyatt and Willow's story leading up to this. I love how Jane brings attention to mental illness and how it can affect a person. I feel society does not value mental health enough and Jane's words are the perfect peek into someone's mind when they need help. She captured the helplessness and desperation perfectly.

Note: I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Holy crap did this book quite literally leave me with my mouth wide open and speechless, but in the best way possible. When I picked up Blue to start reading it I saw the gorgeous rock star on the front and was imagining this book to be your typical bad boy rocker romance. You know the one where he is a player right up until he finds the right woman, his whole world changes and they finally settle down for their happily ever after. But boy was I wrong! As they say do not judge this book by its cover. Blue is full of angst, darkness and secrets. It drew me in and I literally could not stop reading it. I think I read it in one whole sitting as I could not put it down. With ever chapter development or plot twist I just needed more and became consumed. Before you read on I want to apologise for the vagueness in this review but for you to fully appreciate this book for what it is you need to go in blind and without any spoilers.

Wyatt Blue is a tortured rock star who is living in complete exile after a cruel twist of fate took everything from him. He self-medicates on alcohol and drowns himself in self-pity. His depression and mental health is worsening to the point where he has decided to end his own life. Whilst out driving, contemplating his fate, he meets a beautiful stranger who changes his life for the better.

Willow is a girl who is running away from her past. After the loss of her father months ago she has been feeling broken but her memory since then is fuzzy. Willow appears small and fragile but when she is with Wyatt there are times when she finds strength and they engage in friendly banter just like two ordinary people getting to know each other instead of two people who are running from their past.

The longer that Willow and Wyatt spend together the more that their relationship grows. Wyatt tries to stay away, worrying that he is only capable of corrupting and that he would never want to hurt an angel as pure as Willow. But Willow wants to save Blue and she will do whatever she can to help him. Their relationship is incredibly sweet, beautiful and sexy. The few sex scenes that we do get are gorgeous to witness and the draw that they have to each other, along with their chemistry is so obvious and heart-breaking to see. But Wyatt needs to heal from his past and feel like he is worthy of being loved by someone like Willow before they can have anything serious. However, Willow also needs Wyatt’s love to help her to heal too. But the secrets and plot twists make what initially appears to be an easy relationship story, far less simple than it sounds!

Overall, I loved this book so very much. I cannot even begin to tell you how I feel after reading this book. I had a preconceived notion of what to expect from the book and could not have been more wrong. Even with the plot twists and changes I was still guessing the plot line right up until at least 70% of the way through. It is the secrets, angst and drama that will keep you addicted to this book and if you are anything like me you will choose to read this instead of functioning like an adult for the day! There is plenty of time for that on other days. I am glad that this book is the first in the series and that there is a follow up instalment. I cannot wait to read it. I literally cannot stop bragging about how awesome this book is and I plan on shouting it from the rooftops about how much I think that you should be reading Blue!

Blue is the first novel that I've had the pleasure of reading from Jane Anthony. I felt that the book was written like a piece of music. With the main characters, Wyatt Blue and Willow as the harmony and melody where they come together to make a hauntingly beautiful song. Their song will stay with you long after it's done!

Wyatt and Willow's journey is so emotional and tortured, with their pain so openly raw. Individually they are broken but together they strengthen and heal one another, and despite this they somehow complete the parts that are missing in themselves and make them whole.

"You told me once that two souls don't find each other by simple accident. That we were meant to meet. I believe that now. Our life is a blanket, knotted together, piece by piece, your crazy and my crazy laid out in intricate patterns that scatter over it like new snow."

This story is an EPIC read, truly mind blowing! There are twists in this book that are so unexpected. I guarantee you will enjoy every moment! I will leave you with one last quote that I absolutely loved.

"Love is bigger than anything we've got. It's stronger than any ailment, more infections than any disease. When it's real, it can get you through anything. And that, my friend, is what makes life worth living."

Blue is the first book in the Savages in Ruin series and can be read as a standalone. Thank you to the author and Enticing Journey Book Promotions for kindly providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Blue (Savages in Ruin, Book 1) by Jane Anthony will join the ranks of BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

Blue is book one in the Savages in Ruin series and oh it will Ruin you alright, but you are left speechless at the end! Wow that just blew my mind and so did not expect that! Savages in Ruin is a rock band, but this is so much more than a band. This is a story of how our body handles keeping us alive when tragedies occur till it is our time to enter the next journey of phase in our life. We all experience loss of a love or a life, but no two people handle this the same way when it comes to healing. It just goes to show us that in the end the goal is the same, whether you choose to see it now or later. Two characters who are both broken. Blue AKA Wyatt and Willow will take you on a ride. This isn’t your typical tour bus ride and will leave your mouth hanging open.
Blue has a jagged edge to him, he’s living the rock life on the drinking part that’s for sure and has a tortured soul. Willow is beauty and “his little lamb”, but also has her own tortured soul. Events play an important part of people’s life (even those that may seem small), it may not happen right away, but down the road those pieces may turn that light bulb on with a holy crap that’s why that happened etc. You will feel the emotions between Wyatt and Willow. You get the sad, the happy moments and even those moments that you see the connection they share in so many ways.
This book hooks you from the beginning, has you thinking did you skip some pages (you will see why), but then delivers the punch that will leave us feeling like we are black and Blue from that wild ride we took. This ride is so worth it and will leave you breathless! I’m excited to see where this story is headed maybe Jett Blue will land on Frank Lane. One could only hope!

Do you believe in destiny?

This has been my first step into the world of Jane Anthony books and won't be the last 'cause she just bought me with this beautiful and heartbreaking story. As soon as I read first chapter I knew that this is going to be something I've never read before. This book was full of different kind emotions pouring from every page and my mind was racing hundred miles an hour wondering what will happen next.
Wyatt aka Blue was a rock star of Savages in Ruin band. Tattoos adorn a large part of his muscular body and with the blue hair he looked like Rock God. But his outside beauty was eclipsed by his broken soul. He was deeply suffering inside and constantly drowning his sorrows in alcohol. One day he met Willow, petite young girl and that changed his life forever.
Since the beginning Willow was like a mystery or enigma to me because she was hiding her secrets and struggled with her own demons.
There was an incredible connection between them, like one soul bonded two bodies. This mysterious bond was captivating me deeper into the story and I was wondering where this journey will lead me. I loved their chemistry, lust and sexual tension. It was slowly burning between them but suddenly exploded like lightning and the thunder at the same time.
Author Jane Anthony knows how to drown reader to her story and I was whole in. She created profound story about two broken souls whom seeking a reason for living but what they've found was so much more. If you looking for the emotional and unique story, I highly recommend this book.

I have been eagerly anticipating the release of this book from Jane Anthony – she is one of my favourite authors so I kind of knew I would be in for a good read and I was absolutely right! I was hooked from beginning to end! I was captivated just as I have been in the past by all of her books! I LOVE a rock star romance and this is probably one of my favourites that I have read. I also now have one awful book hangover and I haven’t had one of those in a while! Willow and Wyatt’s story was just wow! I loved them both! The authors writing was just so emotional and raw, I could feel everything that these characters were feeling, it was like I was right there with them and yes there were plenty of tears too especially when it came to Wyatt.
The storyline was very strong and well thought out – I loved that I thought I knew what was going to happen but in true Ms Anthony style she has a few surprises tucked away in there!
Blue was a beautifully written, heart breaking, emotional read that I cannot recommend enough! If you have read work by this author before then you won’t be disappointed with her newest release and if she is a new to you author be prepared to have found a new author to love!
I cannot wait for book 2 in the series! I just know that it is going to be amazing!!

Wow, what an amazing and interesting read by Ms. Jane Anthony. Blue was definitely a different kind of read for me. The author takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions between Blue and his girl Willow. There is sadness, lust, love, guilt, sexual tension between them., and happiness.
Blue is book one in the Savages In Ruin series and it is a strange read at first until you understand what is going on. You wonder how you yourself would deal with such tragedy being put in such a position if you lost a love one or cost someone a life. We never know how we would react if that was us. Would we just give up like Blue and drink ourselves to death. Willow was there to help pull him out of his depression and the guilt he was feeling. He believed he was no good, he would only end up hurting her. But she kept at him because she loved him. Even when all he wanted to do was get drunk, she was by his side. They both were broken souls who were better together than apart. It was such a good read I can’t wait to see what the author does next. ❤️

This is nothing like the other books I have read from this author and trust me that isn't a bad thing. This time we get her darkness. Yet that too isn't a bad thing. The intricate story telling of suicide attempts and mental illness, love and pain, reality and . . . While this may have been a difficult project for this author she doesn't pull any punches she just blows you out of the water. Her characters are complicated, their story one that can't be rushed. Wyatt is a tortured soul. The drinking and drugs were slowly destroying him and the band. Willow was on an entirely different level with her mental illness. This story is one that will touch and resonate deep down and then your life will flip out when you see what's done. I have come to expect the unexpected from this author but I didn't expect what she did here. This is well done with the flash backs and life stories filtered throughout the story we are offered insight into who these two are. I hope we get more of their story as the series progresses.

How can I review this mind blowing story of a romance between a rockstar and a waif that is so much more? They are soulmate whose love can transcend both time and space and heal as well as destroy their broken selves.

Wyatt Blue and his sister Frankie are children of a Rockstar legend who burned herself out too young with drugs. Wyatt is heading down a bad path with alcohol. He and his sister are the band Savages in Ruin with their good friends and on their way to getting their first Grammy. Until a tragic accident changes everything for Wyatt.

Willow and Wyatt are broken people brought together by fate and share bonds that are woven tightly around their souls. The twists and turns their lives take cannot separate them and they need each other like the air we breathe.

The unexpected path of this book will totally surprise you and keep you reading right up to the end to find out if they got their HEA. I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting and know you will do the same! 5 Perfect Stars!!

Wow that was an absolutely fantastic story that I truly LOVED!!! I found myself lost in the story from the first word to the last! I read at night and I found myself playing that game that readers play when they read at bedtime-Just one more chapter, just one more chapter... and before I knew it, it was almost 3am and no matter how much I wanted to keep reading, I had to get some sleep. This book took me through all the feels!! Brace yourself for a surprise you will know when you read it, and that's the only hint you will be getting from me! The author's attention to detail is AMAZING and she makes it very easy to see what is happening on the page in your mind. And that cover!!! I need to get my hands on that book so I have that pretty on my shelf!! The end will leave you swooning and aching for more because you wish it would go on forever. Luckily this is book 1 in the Savages in Ruin series, so (*happy dance*) there will be more about the whole band. I very highly recommend this book, so prepare to fall in love with Blue, I know I am!!! Enjoy!!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This was such an emotional read, it blew me away, I couldn’t stop reading it, I was grabbed from the first page until the last. I can honestly say that I did not see the twist and turns coming in this story, but we never would’ve ended up where we did without them. Wyatt and Willow are so devoted to each other, one mind, one body, such a connection, soulmates from the first moment they met. Both Wyatt and Willow have their own battles to win within inside of themselves. This is a story of love, lust, passion and finding your back to the one your love even if you feel you don’t deserve it. How could something so wrong, be so right in every way? Their story was so incredible that I really was left speechless at the end. I can honestly say that you will love this book, you won’t be able to put it down until you’re done, now I patiently wait for the next book in the series to see where Jane Anthony takes us. I highly recommend this book!

People say don't judge a book by its cover, and seriously do NOT judge this book by the cover (although the cover IS to die for).

This story is so much more. From the get-go, Jane grabs your attention and with each passing pages, you keep stumbling down a world of mystery, emotions, hurts, angst that will just keep you guessing. You can feel the palpable connection between Wyatt and Willow and their push and pull relationship.

I'm quickly learning Wyatt Blue has two sides. Arrogant ass and sweetheart, the latter being my favourite.

Throughout the book, Jane kept me guessing on where the story is going. Just like the character, you are lost in their world, and Jane's mastery with words help pave the way for both them and you.

There are some pretty deep truths in this story that makes you think; and something that you will never expect. Overall, this is a brilliant start to a new series and I am looking forward to seeing what Jane does with the rest of the casts.

OMG! I just love Jane Anthony’s stories. They pull every emotion out of me. Blue is such a gut wrenching, emotionally charged story and from the prologue I was hooked. That opening scene was so dramatic and intense. Wyatt Blue and Willow are 2 very complex characters, each with their own special brand of demons to deal with, including some mental health issues but their connection is undeniable. What they share is even deeper the physical realm.

I’m just blown away by the way Jane structured this story - the symbolism of the rain and the setting fire to the rain (yes, Adele reference) was just perfection. I don’t want to give anything away but I was in tears when it became clear what it meant. You would have to read it to understand the beauty of Wyatt and Willow’s journey. Even death couldn’t come between them. Fate destined them to be together. Beautiful story with amazing characters and a worldwide of emotions and passions that wrap around your heart. And that epilogue was awesome.

Blue is an intense journey that had me feeling like I was taking a trip into the insane realm to be honest. Let me talk about that for a bit, because I don't want anyone to misconstrue what I'm trying to say. See, it wasn't so much that Wyatt was insane per se, because he wasn't, just that the pain that he was suffering from was palpable, so it came out of my kindle so sharply to punch me in the gut, and it simply took my breath away. Then there was Willow, who was something else herself. And I can't really go into details without giving anything away, except that they just worked somehow. I was going along, thinking I understood what was going on, then BAM! Out of nowhere comes a HUGE OMG TWIST! Like so big that I couldn't even drop an f-bomb, that's how shocking it was. So then I was like WHAT THE HELL, and again BAM! And that one I did start dropping f-bombs like they were hot! Jane Anthony blew me away with this story, and I can only imagine what's up next in this series after starting it out with a bang! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
