I have a big appetite for beautiful things — art, jewels, stuff like that. Even when they belong to someone else. I call it “reappropriating ill-gotten wealth.” The FBI calls it stealing. They don’t seem to care that I only take stuff from douchebags. Or that I give most of it away. But I’m going straight now. I got a huge reduction on my sentence for helping the feds with some high-profile cases. I just have to toe the line for a couple of years and I’m scott free.
Then I sit down at a poker table across from her…
Olivia
I’ve always been drawn to men with big decks. Especially when they know how to use them. Yes, I’m talking about poker. I grew up in Vegas and I have a little, um, problem. Gambling is my kryptonite. I went cold turkey and got out of Sin City seven years ago, but now I’m in town because my mom’s ex-husband stole a painting from her. I’m going to get it back and I have the perfect plan. Until I take an especially risky gamble. And lose. Now I owe Declan Black and he wants… me.
Ohhh this one was fun and quick read and i was alittle bummed that it had no epilogue.. :( thief turn fbi consultant and a newish thief wanting revenge..
Olivia and Declan met playing some poker in vegas what drew them to one another they knew the other was cheating xD they didn't say anything so they wouldn't get caught. I love the banter and stakes they did during these games. The flirtynes on the bets.. When Olivia told Dec why she was in vegas and what she plans to do he wants to help her since he feels protective towards her and wants her to become a better thief so they play some games at his house ;) And they were pretty hottt!! And they both had some fun.. until later a tiny misleading phone call has Olivia leaving and not needing Declan to help her. . but boy he is going to make sure his girl gets her revenge and not end up in jail..
No ow/om drama, no cheating, dramaish, sexy times, No virgins
This was a good read. Both Declan and Olivia have their reasons for being in Vegas. They meet one night at the poker table. What was supposed to be a short time fling turns out to be so much more. Thankfully in the end they got their happy ending.
Big Deck is the 5th book in the Size Matters series. The genre is Rom-Com with a billionaire troupe. It is a short story with lots of steamy action, interesting characters, laugh out loud wit, a believable plot, no cliff hanger and a HEA. This book is the story of Olivia and Declan who meet in Vegas at a card game and they both are cheating. Declan is a reformed thief working for the FBI and Olivia is in the Security business but they both are after the take down of the same man. They find out they have more in common than bedroom games and cards.
Declan is a thief. He received a huge reduction on his sentence for helping the feds. He is playing poker and so is Olivia. He knows she is cheating, but then again so is he. The attraction is immediate . She is in town to steal back her mother’s painting from a man who happens to be the Feds target. Now he needs to stop her in order to keep the sting in place, but then how is he going to keep her.
This is a contemporary erotic romance comedy featuring two very smart and sexy characters. The characters are well defined complete with strengths and weakness and are both charismatic. They draw you into the story and you want to see how it turns out. The chemistry between them is intense and the sex scenes are integrated very nicely into the storyline. The narrative is wonderful providing humour and letting us know the characters better through their emotions, backgrounds and motivations. The dialogue is witty and sometimes sarcastic giving the book a fresh crisp felling. The characters are well matched in terms of strength and determination. The storyline flows smoothly and fast, filled with touching romantic moments, steamy sexual experiences, fun action scenes, danger and suspense. I thought the book was well written and would recommend it to those who enjoy romantic comedies with heat.

As Big Deck is the first book I have read by Blake Wilder I was not sure what to expect, especially since this is supposed to be a romantic comedy. After all one persons funny can be another persons humorless. So color me grateful with Big Deck the story struck a good balance and was witty with more than a few laughs. So be warned that if you read this you should be in a place where people will not look at you strange as you burst out unexpectedly with a peel of laughter. The other thing this book has going for it, which was a very nice surprise, is that it has some nice dirty sexy to the story. I enjoyed this fast-paced, light, funny and quick novella with wonderful characters. There is not a lot of depth but then again you don't need it here. A definite book recommendation!!!

Light-hearted, fast-paced and pretty dirty, Big Deck tells the tale of two thieves who meet in Vegas and find that they have more in common than they could’ve imagined. The story follows Declan, a semi-reformed thief turned FBI consultant who meets Olivia at a poker table. They can tell that the other is cheating at the game, and that intrigues both of them. Things take a turn for the spicy when Declan takes Olivia home for the night and teaches her some tricks to being a better thief (think sneaking around in the dark, handcuffs, etc).
The story moves quickly and though it’s instalove for these two, it’s easy to see that they have a great connection. There’s not a ton of depth to the story, but if you’re looking for something fast, fun and fiesty, this is a good book to try.

I thought this book was a very fun read. This quick read romance offers an entertaining blend of heat, heart and humor. Declan and Olivia were great characters. They had amazing chemistry, an attraction that was magnetic and in my opinion, they were quite simply a perfect pair! The romance between Declan and Olivia moves fast, but I thought that this fit with these characters personalities very well. With this book you get all the excitement of a heist combined with the thrill of a con game, liberally sprinkled with the sweetness of a swoony love story that is then rolled into one delightful steamy package that provides a perfect, light, brighten your day reading experience. This is my honest, voluntary review.
Great thiefs’s story quite unexpectable I loved the first chapter, the characters of Olivia and Declan. The story is very hot, the heroes discovering under the cover of apprenticeships to steal a work of art. The dialogues are very well written, as well as the story. Declan is a thief who works for the FBI, so a bad boy who has become rather a nice boy, while on the contrary, Olivia is a nice girl who wants to temporarily become bad enough to avenge her mother. They meet while she's cheating on poker against him, which makes her indispensable to his desires I am reviewing this Advance Reader Copy of this book I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
It takes a con to know a con...Declan gravitated towards Olivia as if a moth drawn by the flame. Olivia was on a mission of revenge little did she know Declan would hold the key to her success or failure. I was not surprised that I loved this book. The characters were great and the story line allowed for the development of the relationship.

A few nights in Vegas for revenge turns into more. This was a cute sorry but not one of my favorites from the series. Olivia wants revenge and a painting that meant a lot to her mother. One night gambling turns into the most exciting night of her life. Deck needs to burn off some steam being cheated at the card table has peaked his interest this woman is sexy and intriguing. He turns it into an all night affair.
This is a lighthearted, fun read with plenty of heat and humor. This is a very entertaining book with likable characters. Declan and Olivia are perfect for each other between their chemistry and their interactions.

Big Deck (Size Matters) by Blake Wilder. I really liked Dec and Olivia- I thought the chemistry and banter between the two was intense and I found it enjoyable. Unique plot with humor tossed in and Blake Wilder has another hit on her hands IMO! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Olivia and Declan meet playing cards. They both figured out the other one is cheating. This makes for an interesting attraction to begin and get stronger. Their chemistry is combustible. A steamy fast read! Loved it!

So this is the fifth book in the series and definitely my least favorite. I think there was just too much of the main characters thinking about themselves. Plus, the circumstances weren’t really believable. Even though I don’t think they were meant to be, it just didn’t work for me.
I was hooked before the end of page one. Dec, (our handsome, suave, Armani wearing thief) is drawn to Liv (our gorgeous, smart , red haired trickster) when she beats him at cheating in a poker game. It’s hot, clever and sweet, and makes you wonder how the author knew about how to plan a heist!
This story, god...the first few chapters were absolute forplay. The sex was hot. Characters were perfect and wonderfully human. The end made me smile. Such a good read.

3.5 stars Fun, light-hearted read for a quick break. Fast-paced with flawed characters that fit so wonderfully together. Declan and Olivia toe the line in Vegas, will they cross it?

This was a great book, a really enjoyable read. It was quite intense at times and had me on the edge of my seat. It was a page turner that I couldn’t put down. Some scenes were hot and steamy and it finished with a HEA.

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. Add in a wee bit of drama and you have a good read.

Wow! Can't believe how not that was. I never knew how not a game of poker could get! These two make gambling seem like a good idea. You should definitely take a gamble on this chemistry and these two hero\theives. They will make you want to take a trip to Vegas.
Another fun, fast read with lots of steam, witty banter, and a few surprising twists from Blake Wilder. Olivia and Dec have a whirl wind Vegas romance while plotting revenge against Olivia's stepfather. I loved it!!
Big Deck by Blake Wilder is a fun, funny, scorching hot romp in Vegas with a couple not-so-good characters getting into so much delicious shenanigans. FBI agents, expensive and/or sentimental artwork, revenge, and lots of very sexy teaching scenarios prevail.
