He shattered his empire to save the world.
Rebuilding it could kill him…

To save the ocean and earth from a devastating pandemic, the mer-prince Kai destroyed his capital city and its diseased merfolk.

Now, he wonders if he made the right decision.

Reduced to scattered colonies, the mer-people can no longer defend humans from the empire-building ambitions of their Atlantean offspring.

To rebuild his kingdom, Kai needs the aether core buried in the sunken ruins of ancient Atlantis, but the way is guarded by Ancients—gargantuan titans, monsters of myth and legend.

Yet the greatest peril lies not in the journey, but in the destination. A creature of immeasurable power is entombed alive within Atlantis.

And the only thing it craves, far more the priceless aether core, is absolute vengeance upon the royal bloodline...

Jade Kerrion, an award-winning author, got her start in fan fiction. She developed a loyal reader base with her fan fiction series based on the MMORPG Guild Wars. She was accused of keeping her readers up at night, distracting them from work, housework, homework, and (far worse), from actually playing Guild Wars.

And then she wondered why just screw up the time management skills of gamers? Why not aspire to screw everyone else up too? So here she is, writing books that aspire to keep you from doing anything else useful with your time.

She lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her wonderfully supportive husband and her two young sons, Saint and Angel, (no, those aren't their real names, but they are like saints and angels, except when they're not.)

This series gets stronger with every book I read and this 2nd book in the series is a real thrilling ride from start to finish even though many a time I was reading with my heart in my mouth in fear for all of the team, but mainly for Kai who suffered so much pain on account of being close to the aether and the transformations it made him undergo! However if nothing else Kai is tenacious and he was determined to go to Atlantis and search for the aether core in its centre, and to return this to his people or those few who were left of them! On the way he was harassed continuously by Jacob and his cultists in all their warships and frigates, as well as Ondine, who no matter who resides in her body is always evil, and now also hounded by Marduk. Marduk who also wanted the aether to take back to his own people on Aldebaran, who were dying without its energy and who cared for neither the Baltiamatu nor the Atlanteans much less for humans! At one point whilst fighting off the might of the Leviathan we get to see that four generations of royalty are striving to survive and are aiding one another, and Zamir realises that no matter what any of them chose between duty or love they had always got it wrong somehow. Maybe it was time for him to take into consideration both love and duty, and do the right thing in order to redeem himself. Could Kai and Zamir ever redeem themselves and stop punishing themselves for all the wrongs they had committed against their own family and their people? I think we just have to read the 3rd book in this most gripping series to find out!

The Cursed Throne continues the story of Kai attempting to rebuild the Beltaimatu kingdom, a kingdom he had a stake in shattering in the first place. It picks up right after book 1 in the Lord of the Ocean series and continues the struggle Kai, Ginny, and Zamir are on to set right the sins of the past.

This series has been a lot of fun with evil villains that keep coming back and compelling storylines. Each book reveals more about the events of the past that led our heroes into the struggle they’re currently in. It’s an ongoing lesson of how poor choices can affect many more people than just the people directly involved in the situation and the repercussions can be felt for generations.

This book revealed more about the secrets of the consciences that share a body with Zamir and the across-the-stars battle of one of those consciences. Ginny also shows growth as she struggles to learn how to control the aether that is in her body. The plot also thickens with more suprises, loves lost and revealed, and plenty of action. There’s also a brand new enemy that awakens.

If you’ve enjoyed book 1 in this series or any of the books in Jade’s Daughter of Air series, you’ll enjoy this book as well. Each book in either series really play off of the story from the previous book and you’ll want to read all of these to see the whole story play out. The books are full of action and plot twists and are fairly quick to read. I’m loving this series.

I just major-league on Cursed Prince, Cursed Throne and Cursed Legacy, the first three books in Jade Kerrion’s Lord of the Ocean series. The only reason I didn’t read book 4 is that it’s not out yet (drat and other comments). Trust me, this stuff is highly addictive. Also highly exciting, highly enjoyable - and superbly written. I’m not sure which of the three books I liked the most as I’m still going through a bit of post-reading bliss and they were all so much fun. My recommendation: get these ASAP but don’t start reading them late night as you’ll likely also have problems putting them down. And, oh yeah, it’s best to start this goodness with book 1. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The books definitely deserve it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each book is most definitely “one to read” (so long as they’re read in order), and it is easy to highly recommend them all. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Cursed Throne is the PERFECT second book in the Lord of the Ocean series written by Jade Kerrion. The author continues with an imaginative plot, with twists and turns you don't seem coming. For every secret she reveals, there are more that come up that need to be revealed in the future. She has a way with words that keep you glued to the pages. The words seem to effortless flow out of her onto the pages!

She continuously has something happening at a perfect pace, that neither rushes you through the story nor drags it out, just plain perfect!

The struggles of Ginny, Zamir and Kai continue and you wonder how they will manage to get through it all. As they find more friends to help them, they also find more enemies who are out to hurt them. It seems like an uphill battle that never ends, very Sisyphus like.

Yet another amazing book and one more to go. I can't wait to see how it all ends!!!

This second book in the Lord of the Ocean series continues from where the first ended, and sees the continuation of the quest to restore the Beltiamatu (Mer) people to a stable community, and protect them and the humans from the Illojim (aliens posing as gods) and Atlanteans. Full of thrilling action, battles, reunions, loss, romance, elemental magic and a Beltiamatu royal family that are definitely ALL as stubborn as Ash was (in the Daughter of Air series), this book is an AWESOME read! I read from cover to cover with only one brief stop to take the dog out (and only then because he was busting!!), and I'm really looking forward to reading book 3 to find out what happens next. Maybe I should get my urgent jobs done first though!!
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions

Kai, Zamir, and Ginny are all back in the second of the Lords of the Ocean Trilogy books. They are fighting their way to Atlantis to get an aether core. The source of dark energy needed to rebuild the mer-people civilization.

Action, action and more action. This second book in the series is simply amazing. The creativity of the author seems limitless. This is a page-turner and you never know what is coming next. Most of the action in this book is under the water which is unique. The descriptions of the scenery and reactions of the characters to the events build suspense and drama that leads to an amazing climatic scene. The story is not over but this book itself is one whirlwind of a reed. I can’t wait for the next instalment in the series. Excellent, just excellent.

I am loving the Lord of the Ocean series. I just finished all three books Cursed Prince, Cursed Throne, and Cursed Legacy and they are great! If you've read the Daughter of Air series then you know this series is a spin-off and takes us on a fantastic journey full of drama, action, adventure, magic and so much more. This series is so good that once I started reading book one I had a hard time putting it down and within two days I have read them all. I highly recommend you read the Daughter of Air series before starting this one but believe me you will not be disappointed. I look forward to reading anything this author comes up with next. Just like the previous series this just gets more addictive with each book, we get to know Ginny, Kai and Zamir more as they all struggle with whats happening to them. You can beat the nail biting situations that occur along with the twists even though we know there are bound to be some they still leave you slack jaw when they happen, you go through a raft of emotions while reading and had to pull myself back at times as I was reading too quickly wanting to know what was going to happen but almost missing out on what I was reading!! 😜

Wow this series is definitely getting more intense. This, for me, has a mix of Dr Who and Harry Potter where the baddies never seem to die. Without giving too much away, you think you’ve killed one but a part is present in someone else.
Plenty of action and intensity once again. Miss the characters of Ashe and Varun . Ginny comes into her own and shows more control of her powers. Plus more of the overall scheme of things slots into place.
A most enjoyable story to lose yourself.
Looking forward to the last in the series.

I love how exciting this story is. I also love how new challenges pop up and how so much is reveled and how well it all flows together. There is so much awesome going on that it seems like everything should be scattered and chaotic but it is so mind boggling how well it all meshes and flows together. I adore Ginny and Kai for making the best of everything and how they keep pushing through no matter what Gods, Humans, or anything else throws at them. I am excited to read book 3 but at the same time I am sad because it's all going to end.

This is the continuation from book 1 and I love this story with complex characters intense drama and so much action, adventure, danger, suspense, magic and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. I don’t need to give any spoilers because Jade Kerrion has covered so much in her blurb plus I don’t have time to write a long review because I want to get started on book 3, so do yourself a favour get the whole series and then read right through you will be amazed like me. This is an amazing story/ series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review.  This is the second book in the story and I was happy to be back with Kai and his continue journey. He wants to find a way to unscatter his people and he knows that he will have to go to Atlantis to do this and find a hidden object that can help him. I enjoyed the growth of Ginny in this book as she learned more to deal with the Aether that is in her body. It has been awhile since I have read a series like this and I am not sure how it completely makes makes me feel. Maybe book 3 will let me know.

This story just keeps you sucked in, never wanting to put it down. Kai's character is so well created and will do all in his power to restore the Beltiamatu/mer-people and the humans from the Atlanteans. There's many twists, turns, and fast paced action full of magic, loss, and romance. I can't wait to see what's next in book 3.

The pages of the storybook is so full of actions that sometimes it is hard to breathe. The battle between good and evil is so fierce that sometimes it is hard to know who is winning. Book 2 definitely propels the reader to Book 3.

This is the second book of the series and the story keeps getting better. The characters are complex. The plot is ensnaring and focused. The world building is a dream that unfolds before your eyes. The story compels you to finish it quickly to help reveal the hopeful success of the main characters from the looming dangers they face. There were unexpected twists that caused me to hold my breathe at times. I could not read fast enough to get past the dangers that our group encounters. This is a great addition to a wonderful series. I highly recommend this series. 4.5stars
