Increasing powers, incredible responsibility, and one off balanced girl

Having the power of three elemental artifacts has unbalanced my powers. The only solution is to find the fourth one to make me whole, before I implode and destroy everything around me.

Unfortunately for me, I’m not the only one after that artifact. There’s an entire list of supernaturals waiting for the right moment to take it for themselves. And they’ll stop at nothing to make that happen. Even if that means taking my life.

Not knowing who to trust, I head with my friends to the realm, but as intentions of my fellow travelers are revealed, heartbreak becomes inevitable. The question is whether I’ll be left standing when everything is said and done.

Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.

My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.

I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.

I'm extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes.

Reaper of Water is the final book in the Artifact Reaper series by Jen L. Grey. In this book, Christina is back and she has three of the four elements. The clock is ticking on her acquiring the final one or else she will lose her life and more than likely take quite a few innocent lives with her when she goes. She’s about to find herself in a race against time and in a fight against a foe that isn’t about to willingly give up the power that they themselves have acquired and enjoy.
Reaper of Water focuses on Christina, Dax, and Charlie as these three embark on the quest to find the final artifact. The story, overall, is engaging as they, once again, have to realm jump in order to discover where the final artifact is. I like that the author takes us to a unique new place and that things aren’t exactly what they seem. They begin to question even more so what they have been told by the Elders as they see things that they have been told “no longer exist.” There are some twists, some surprises, and there are even a couple heartbreaking moments/revelations in this book. Christina fluctuates as much as a character as she does with the powers of the artifacts that lodge inside her. If you’re hoping for a happy ending with this book through the author does give readers that.
There are a couple of things that I didn’t like about this book though. Christina’s arrogance at the beginning of the book just really irked me. I get that she has the power of three of the artifacts, but I wanted her to be more…humble I guess. She can’t fully control these powers so I was annoyed that she acted the way that she did. Secondly, Charlie. I get that they are in a relationship, but this guy really got out of control for me. Let another guy be around Chris and he’s practically peeing on her. He’s so quick to let it be known that they are sleeping together which to me is just rude on his part. He’s not respecting boundaries because of what I view to be his insecurities, because why else do it?! Also, I felt that some of their interactions were…forced. They didn’t come off as feeling natural. Him constantly grabbing and holding her hand for long periods of time, and kissing her on the lips after Dax has to carry her and then sets her down. For me, it would have been more natural if he had kissed her on the forehead instead because the kiss on the lips felt more like him marking his territory. It just irked me.
I’ve enjoyed reading this series, but I’m a bit disappointed with how this book plays out. It feels highly anti-climactic. There is no big final showdown, Christina gets her happy ending, which…I hate to say it…I’m just not feeling. For me, it’s more of an ending of convenience. At the end of the day, I’m rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. I expected more from this book and it just doesn’t deliver for me.

Through the entire series I've been turning pages to see what's next! This last installment has been just as awesome, as the previous books! Romance, humor, action and adventure awaits! I loved it from beginning to end. I'm kind of sad to see this series to end. The characters grow on you and you fall in love with their quirks and who they are once the beginning. I've loved watching Chris grow and mature through each book, how her powers manifest and grow as well as her adventures. It's been a fantastic book journey!

Epic conclusion to an amazing series. Reaper of Water is the last book and it is vital to read each book in order as each book starts where the previous book ended.

What I love about this series is watching as Chris "grows". When the series started she was an outcast and under appreciated while hiding who she really is as a person and reaper. Seeing how far she has grown with her powers and as a person was amazing journey.

You will not be disappointed in this series if you like magic, witches, destinies, love, betrayal and greed.

What a twisted, challenging, and fitting end to this series! I loved how difficult and expansive this artifact excursion was and the secondary characters that it brought to the story. Christina shows personal growth and finally embraces the strong, decisive, principled woman inside her. There is action, romance, and shocking twists that will have you turning page after page until you finish. Grey wraps the main story and series up fairly neatly although I still have a few lingering questions and am not entirely ready to say goodbye to these characters just yet. If you enjoy treasure hunts, realm jumping, and romance, this is the series for you!

Wow! What a way to end a series that pulls you in and keeps you there from the first book to last AMAZING.
Chris, Charlie, and Dax these three are looking for the water artifact and when they get a lead on it takes them to a place that is not what it seems. Will they be able to find it time before.something happens or will they lose all that they have done? Such an emotional read with lots of twist and turns that you won't believe. An excellent ending to an amazing series. Can't wait to read more from this author

I am super sad to see Christina's journey come to a close. This series is a must read and has gotten better with each book the author has written. It takes time to lay the groundwork for such a wonderful book world and the amazing characters in it.
In the final installment, Christina faces a worth adversary in order to reach the final artifact. She has so many different situations pulling her in different directions and paths. Will she find the artifact before she implodes? Can she trust ANYONE? Will she be able to protect her people and the people of the realms? And then something so tragic happens and your like **@#*$!
This part of her journey is incredible and this series is a must read.
I am sending out a plea the the author for a short later about how things have progressed in certain situations. Also would love to see how everything has affected her relationships with her parents. Kudos to Jen L. Grey for building such a fantastic world and characters you can totally connect to.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's the final book in The Artifact Reaper Saga, and in this story Christina must seek out the final element before all is said and done. The characters in this book and the TARS series are intriguing, smart and unforgettable. If you are looking for a Reaper saga where things don't exactly work to plan, I'd definitely recommend this book, though I'd strongly recommend you start out by reading the first book in this set. It will be easier to keep up with the growth of each character along the way if you do.

The finale to the Artifact Reaper saga is here, and boy it was a ride.
Chris took the matter into her own hands and ventured with Dax and Charlie to the world of the water artifact - only to be hindered by the fractured picture and inability to locate it, and being fooled by the people in charge of the world. Being able to form alliances a friendships, though, bring her voyage to more or less successful end - or does it?
Twisting tale charged with despair, grief, determination, and hope that races forward to the end really fast (maybe a bit too fast, because the ending felt rushed to me, which was the reason why I put here 4 stars only. I also did not feel all questions were answered). Sweet romance softens the action and balances the tension that builds over the whole series. I loved to see Chris finally growing up to someone who doesn't buy all bullshit and stands her own against the worst enemies. I would love to see what happened later with Dax, the ogres, if Melody managed to fulfill the task assigned to her, because in this especially I have my doubts.. and I missed Chris' parents in this book altogether, at least in some epilogue they could appear. Otherwise, I am glad to have read the book/ series and am looking forward what the future brings with this author's writing.

What a great ending!!! Chris didn’t get everything she wanted and her journey came with large costs! I like that she had to fight to the end and how her character grew up in her actions and thoughts. Overall a great series with lots of different characters and twists!

Reaper of Water had me satisfied. It was challenging amazing mesmerizing romantic heartbreaking and unique. Chris Charlie and Dax go to the Water World to find the last artifact but it isn't as easy as it seems. Lots of things stand in their way can they get it before Christina emplodes. I loved the way Christina stood up to that elder woman saying if she hurts her loved ones she will hurt her. The ending was really great I just loved this series.

Christina's journey comes to an epic close in this novel and I'm actually not disappointed. Usually ending a series is bittersweet. But this was wrapped up with a pretty bow at the top. Christina has grown so much since book one-prequel and I'm glad to have gone on this journey with her.
Disclaimer dont read book 4 before reading the other ones.

While I loved the whole series I gave this one four stars, for the sole reasons that HEA sucked in my opinion and that Charlie was whiny bi.... And should have stayed dead. Otherwise this was an amazing series with a great concept.

I think this might be my favorite book in the series and that's saying a lot because the whole thing was great, there was a moment I wanted to ring Jens neck but she gloriously redeemed herself. I love Charlie and Chris and I feel like they truly were meant for each other. Lots of action and emotion, total page turner. Way to go Jen!

Man, sad to see this series end. Action packed, emotional and out of this world, literally. Jen did not disappoint with this series. Charlie and Chris are my favorite fictional couple. I won’t leave any spoilers here but I was mad at the author for a moment. But then she saved me from my heartache and dispair. So well written. This is a must read series, there’s something around every corner in this.

Who can Chris really trust? Everyone seems to have their own agenda and her powers are out of control. But true friends are sometimes found in times of need. And true love can sometimes conquer all.
The final book in the series is my favourite even though each one was brilliant. You may need a box of tissues though.
Highly recommended for all fans of urban fantasy.

This has been a fun, magical, entertaining series! Entertaining and lots of action!

Christina is still dealing with having all this extra power from the magical artifacts; plus, she's still on the hunt for the final one. And of course, there's still many evil forces trying to have control of the artifacts and Christina. Demons, witches, reapers oh my! Lots of danger! Christina is still practicing how to control her powers and how to fight; it's great to see her becoming more accepting of herself, and it's awesome that she's kicking butt. She still is a bit too trusting; too many people in her world out for their own quests for power, but she's gotten much better as this series has progressed. She's also having to deal with some past bad decisions she's made. Christina has a lot on her plate.

The ended was too abrupt for me, but overall, this series has been a fun adventure!

It’s here !!! The final book of the Artifact Reaper Series.
This has been a great series, with some twists and turns- and this book continues in that fashion. There are moments when you are cheering, and others will have you frantically flicking pages back and forth to see if what you read was right, secretly hoping it was (ok I may be the odd one out there, in the hoping it was).
A wonderful ending to what has been a great series about adventure, family, love, friendship, heartache, loyalty and personal growth.

I didn't think of that...there are a lot of discrepancies throughout this series that made it frustrating to listen to on audio. The lead character is 52 days away from being 20, then it's only 1 week away, then back to a month a way. Book 2 she is given the ability to transport, but somehow loses this ability and then is given the ability again in book 3. She is so tired of everyone using her...we are told this many times, and yet she ends up being used. She is strong and then she is weak. It was a long listen for me. But a good concept overall.

This was a great end to the series. I listened to all four in one day and the story got more intense with each book. There were parts in this one where I wasn't sure how everything would turn out. It kept me hooked and I recommend it.

It took me some time to warm up to the narrator but I ended up enjoying the listen and felt she was a great voice for the mc.

Reaper of Water by Jen L. Grey is the fi al conclusion in the Artifact Reapers Saga.
Now having three elemental powers inside her, Christina's powers are unbalanced and she must find the last one. She is in a race for her very life.
I really enjoyed this series and all the twists and turns up till the end!

Fun read, but I think the author kept getting lost in the story and lost track of what the characters already had figured out. It made for several "eye roll" moments. Still, it was a good book with well developed characters. I enjoyed it. I'd recommend this YA novel to those young at heart. :)

Disappointing

I felt that the plot was weak. The main characters were not filled out enough.
The wording and language were stilted and immature. I like this author so I stuck out the series.

What a great ending to this series. I was totally surprised about Charlie, but it did work out in the end. I feel like we have no idea about Brad's story.
