Murder in the Mix #15

Pumpkin Pie Parting

A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors.
And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder.
*A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore* All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order.

My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owner’s impending doom.

The unthinkable has happened and I’m left to reel with a profound level of grief that I haven’t known since my father has died. Throw in a dizzy llama, a snow lodge and a murder, and you’ll have a recipe you never want to share at the Thanksgiving table. One thing is for sure, Noah and I will never be the same again.

Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.

Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder.

Murder mystery takes second place to romantic shenanigans

Not my cup of tea even though I read the first book in the series. I like a mystery and if there's a little romance fine. However, this book was about a woman taking advantage of a man while her supposed true love lies in a coma. The murder mystery is it in between.

Another fun and hilarious story

Lottie Lemon always has too many catastrophes she’s juggling each book and this one was no different. It’s always a great read and I hope the series lasts a while.

Wow, this adventure for Lottie Lemon was an experience of every emotion! Throw in Everett, Noah, a murder, and a llama who likes to have a good time, and it's another day in Honey Hollow! Addison Moore certainly has a way to draw you in with her characters and storylines. This is another great read in this series!!!

Lottie can see and talk to the dead mostly animals and this story is just a continuation of the antics that take place in Honey Hollow. There is another murder in Honey Hollow and guess who has found another body. You guessed it because it was Lottie again and she has donned her investigation hat to solve another mystery. Even though her life right now is in turmoil because one of the men she loves is precariously living in the between she still finds the time to try to find a murderer. I am still on the fence about Lottie and some of the other citizens of Honey Hollow because every book is more of the same drama and murder. I keep hoping that Lottie would finally find a happy place in her stories but she keeps letting it all hang in the balance. When another citizen kicks the bucket though she has her trusty sidekicks to help her find the person responsible. During all the happenings though she must deal with what is truly in her heart but she is not ready to face it.

We are not done with the citizens of Honey Hollow and it leaves us hanging again with questions. The more I read the series the more I am just wondering who Lottie is going to choose. I am not interested in the murders that happen or the comedy the story gives to us time and time again. I keep going back to who does she love more or what can she possibly love about Everett and Noah. Their love triangle is what is keeping my attention everything else takes a back seat. I know I am totally missing that this is a romantic comedy with a side of murder but I can’t help to say that my attention isn’t focused on the murder. The characters have confusing backstories and the more I read about them I still cannot for the life of me figure out who is who. I am going to keep reading because it’s like a soap opera that you can’t put down because you will always want to know what happened.

Another book by Addison Moore, this one is the 15th book in Lottie's story and a rom con with a little side of homicide.
The story of Lottie is very good and very well written.
I really love her writing style and I can't wait for the rest of Lottie's story.

I don’t know what to do or say about Addison Moore anymore, it’s like she enjoys pulling at our emotions, getting our hopes up and then just shattering everything….. But she does it with style. Each book that I read of hers is just incredible and no matter what she keeps throwing all the surprises at us. I have no idea how she comes up with half of the ideas that she does, but her mind is honestly scary but exciting and I love that about her. I was deeply excited and worried when I dived into this book because I had no idea what to think after the ending of the book before, however with only getting to the first page I honestly thought the worst and nearly threw my kindle, but luckily I kept reading in hopes that I was wrong, but honestly how Addison managed to pull off this book, I have no idea but she seriously did an amazing job. There’s nothing that I could fault about this book, although I do feel like Lottie deserves a break, she works her ass off and yes whilst she’s deciding what to do about Noah and Essex (even though I think it would still be amazing if Addison just threw them all together as a three because they have AMAZING chemistry and I could totally see that working out), she does put up with a lot and does her best to make light of everything around her. I’m hoping that Addison will give Lottie a break at some point because she deserves some happiness and good news. Addison threw more curveballs at us in this book and I don’t think she plans on stopping any time soon. Seriously, if you’ve not read her work, you should change that, I’ve been hooked since the very beginning.

Lottie is doing her best to deal with the fact that she nearly lost Noah for good, after Cormack decided to get a little inventive and in the end causing both Noah and herself to have a slight bit of an accident in her new car. It’s not easy on Lottie having to see one of the loves of her life lying there in hospital having to deal with life everyday when she can’t share it with him, but she does what she does best, and luckily for her she’s got Essex keeping her company and giving her all the support she needs. Lottie isn’t giving up hope on Noah, their life is only just starting out, but when ends up finding a dead body she knows her life has just gotten more complicated. Will Lottie be able to figure out who the killer is, or will she end up getting hurt or possibly locked up (well, depending on what mood Detective Ivy is in)??? Her life is about to change for good, but will she be ready for everything that is about to be thrown at her.

Pumpkin Pie Parting is the 15th book in the Murder in the Mix series from Addison Moore who never fails to deliver crazy antics, a romantic roller coaster ride and a suspenseful mystery. It's Thanksgiving in Honey Hollow and Lottie Lemon manages to stumble across another dead body. With the help of a ghostly llama full of sass and her real-life best friends, Lottie dodges mischief as usual while on the hunt for a murderer. While ex-boyfriend/current husband Noah remains in a coma due to a car crash, and still being romantically involved with Everett, Lottie must find a way to reunite Noah's ghostly form with his body and she may have found the perfect motivation for him to wake up. It's impossible not to adore this fantastically sarcastic and fun-filled series from this amazingly talented author. I'm on pins and needles to find out what happens next in Honey Hollow. Pick up your copy ASAP and you won't be disappointed.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have to admit I didn't read each book in this series. I started with a three book Halloween series. I love murder mysteries and love Halloween themes. When I saw a baker that visited by dead pets of murder victims I figured it was different and should be good. This book in the series was more of a romance novel than a murder mystery. The romance is like a soap opera, there seems to be no end , I'm sure this appeals to some readers but I was more interested in the murder and how to solve it. There are so many characters in each of these books , each one seems to have their own love triangle. I couldn't keep the characters straight , maybe it would be better if each book was read in order, but except for a few good pages of the well described ghosts, it didn't grab my attention

Another winner by Addison. This was another great book that had lots of ups and downs. I was so glad to get my hands on this book and find out what happened after the way the last book ended. Let me just say that this one took us all on a wild ride like the last book. Just when you thought you had some good news you got some bad news and your emotions go on a rollercoaster ride with this book. All I can say is that I am so ready for the next book in the series to find out what happens next. Lottie and the gang are always up to something and they have drawn me in. I am really hoping this series does not end anytime soon.

These stories keep getting better and better and there are more emotions involved. I really want to move to this town and help out Lottie! LOL. This story was great and I really enjoyed the twists and turns. I would recommend reading the story before it to get the full impact of this one. The characters are well developed and the plot was fun (I can never guess the “bad guy”). It is an enjoyable read that is fit for all those mystery lovers out there. The romance (in my opinion) is not the main plot so it’s nice to have some sweet moments in the story but I read these for the mystery and humor. A+ I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.

Again and again and again!!! Addison just KILLS it!! (Pun intended)

The way Addison left Lottie and ALL of the things in Killer Cupcakes, had me shaking in my boots for Pumpkin Pie Parting.

The drama, the deaths, and the furry other worldly pet in this book kept me on my tippy toes and the edge of my chair!! I could not put this book down. Do not do what I did and start this book in the evening. Sooooo many surprises and plot twists in this one. Only reason I HAD to put it down was from exhaustion!

You will NOT regret picking this book up!!

Wow! I was not expecting this twist after the ending in the last book. Lottie Lemon has stumbled on another murder with an unusual llama as her otherworldly help. She's initially ambivalent about finding the murderer due to a couple of emotional complications. After reading the ending in this book, the next one should be even more complicated. I love this series and do not want it to end but am looking forward to her making a commitment to one individual for the rest of her life...

Addison has given us another great book! Lottie is of course trying to solve a murder, but this time things are all together different. She doesn't have any pull with the sheriff department since Noah is out of the picture and Ivy Fairbanks isn't giving any info out. That may make things harder but Lottie will not give up. The murder mystery part is always interesting, but I am more invested in Lottie and her personal life than ever before. Things are changing so much and I just can't wait to see where it all leads!!

Lottie, as usual, finds another dead body. This time her pumpkin pie is the feature dessert. She is still in a state of flux in her life. Her love triangle still remains and I am at a loss as to when it is going to end. There is a point in the story where I just about give up on Lottie and her bumbling ways. I cannot understand how she could convince herself that she loves both Everett and Noah. Everett is a good man for putting up with her. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

If you thought you knew what was going to happen in this book you were wrong! Another great read by Addison Moore. Lottie Lemon is at it again. Baking the best treats in town and solving murders with the help of her ghostly friends. With all the surprise twists and turns you won't be able to put it down. Can be read as a stand alone but I recommend you indulge in the whole series. These characters are to die for...

The author has once again brought us a story that is intriguing, funny, and suspenseful all rolled into one. I fell in love with Lottie Lemon and the characters that live in Honey Hollow when book one Cutie Pies and Deadly Lies came out. I still love them now. The stories are all unique but still engaging, keeping me hooked from the first to last word.

Now that the last thing that Lottie thinks has happened, and she is thrown for a loop on what to do next and the grief is so heavy. There is a dizzy llama, who is here for the body that will be found soon. Lottie is looking at the lodge with Everett that Noah wants to buy. It is Thanksgiving time and what will happen next? What will happen with Lottie and Noah now with the secret she is hiding. I hope that all works out for the best for all.

After the emotional heart string Addison managed to pull in the last book, the anticipation for this installment was immense. She knows just how to pull us around on an emotional roller coaster that keeps us dying for more.
Lottie Lemon has a lot on her plate in this one and takes us on an adventure to find a killer. You will laugh, tear up, anxiously turn the page, and possibly lose sleep. Now to wait for the next one so I can get my Lemon fix!

While every book before this one was one to keep you on the edge of your seat, I felt this was one of the most bittersweet books. While we are captivated by the story of Noah, Lottie has an emotional roller coaster of her own, both intermingled with sweet moments between Lottie and those she loves. Cannot wait for the next book!

This volume in the Murder in the Mix series is another funny, mysterious romp in Honey Hollow, but with some sad and then happy undertones. Noah, Everett and Lottie are the perennial love triangle, and murder seems to follow Lottie Lemon around - I don't recommend being friends with her! The ending is a happy one, and I'm looking forward to more of Lottie's story.

Another great read!

I really enjoyed this book. As the others there are so many twist and turns! I really enjoy all the characters. Most of all I like Lottie. She is always getting herself into funny and dangerous situations as she, and the other characters try to figure out who the killer is. I enjoy them all!

The author gets supreme credit with this one, because I did not see that villain or that motive coming at any point in this story. I'm still loving this series. I can't help but laugh along with the shenanigans that Lottie, and her crime-fighting posse, get into. And the spectres and their hijinks bring this series to a whole new world. Bring on the next body!

the ultimate chick lit trope, two eminently desirable beaux

Well, Lottie’s in a complicated pickle, with a profusion of more and more blonde nemeses popping up in Everett’s sphere and the mother of Noah and Alex descends upon the town.

And a mistake of fact may spell doom for someone.
