George Engelmann, also known as Georg Engelmann, (2 February 1809 – 4 February 1884) was a German-American botanist. He was instrumental in describing the flora of the west of North America, then very poorly known; he was particularly active in the Rocky Mountains and northern Mexico, one of his constant companions being another German-American, the botanical illustrator Paulus Roetter.

Este es un libro de 1800 sobre las diferentes formas de afrontar el parto en diferentes partes del mundo, a pesar de ser un libro muy viejo, tiene mucha información completa con ilustraciones (se puede descargar de archive gratuitamente). Me gustó porque me hizo ver todas las formas en las que yo podía afrontar el parto, posiciones y lugares, diferentes creencias e instrumentos.

This book is fascinating. There is wonderful, useful information in here and there is also some crazy, mis information, but for a book as old as this, what do you expect?
