My Tagline: Lee Jackson Brings Heat To The Cold War. I write Historical Thriller Fiction - particularly surrounding the Cold War. Having lived in Morocco, Germany, Costa Rica, and of course in the United States; and, having been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan for a combined 38 months, I've been up-close-and personal with many different cultures. I graduated from West Point and Boston University, resulting in a front row seat on many pivotal events. I live in Texas with my wife. My first novel, "Curse The Moon" was published on 10 December 2013. I publish under my own name, Lee Jackson.

Very enjoyable read, every bit the equal of Clancy without the preachiness

I read this as a break from the history that I usually read and was very happy that I did so. Lee does a great job crafting a story that's realistic and easy to follow while injecting some historical perspective that I know he has experienced as I did, meaning the fall of the wall and the forlorn existence in the communist bloc. No preachiness about current or past policy decisions but subtle reminders about the difference between the quality of life between the West and communist bloc. Great book, can't wait to read the others.

Lee Jackson does get better and better. Full disclosure – I read book 4 before Book 3 because of which book was in my call bag going back and forth to the hospital. I do think that it is important to read the first book in the series in order to understand the back story of Atcho. But this book is also a great stand-alone thriller. Jackson does what is so important for any author writing historical fiction – the author has to weave his fiction into the real history of the time. Atcho and his band of “good guys and gals” are fighting a WMD terrorist against the backdrop of the opening of the Berlin Wall in 1989. And the evil-doers are definitely well qualified to defy Atcho – from influential Russian generals, to a rogue Stasi officer, and Chechen terrorists. Jackson has some new characters, with returning characters, good and bad, from Atcho books 1-3. The action moves very fast, and several plots are woven together at a break-neck pace. This is without question on one of THE BEST cold war spy thrillers I have read since some of my favorites by Sean Flannery (David Hagberg ), Back to work Jackson - - - I have no Atcho books left to read. I will catch back up with Tim Tigner and Jason Kasper on my bedside table.

Vortex Berlin Lee Jackson

Book three in this magnificent series! Atcho ,Sophia, his wife and a cast of others are in East Berlin hunting the traitorous American officer a KGB plant a general who plans to again take the position of Russia's leadership. Tremendous acts of courage, betrayal involving one of are species biggest motivator, power and wealth. Politics some righteous and others twisted also come into play. An excellent read!! My highest recommendation!!

I found this story too improbable. The idea that one individual can gain to nuclear materials and knock out three bombs overnight in their garage seems ridiculous. It also seems highly unlikely that people being able to move at will between East and West Berlin ( which at the time must have been one of the most tightly controlled borders in the world) would be feasible.

The Wall is coming down!

Amidst one of the greatest historical events of the 20th century, Atcho finds himself up against an old enemy. This is a fast paced thriller that filled me with great emotions as the East German thronged to freedom.

A great story building on the characters from books one and two. Action packed with plenty of intrigue to stir the pot. No spoilers here, just a recommendation. If you like action spy thrillers, you'll like this. I have book 4 in my reading queue.

I like his writing style. The story line is not unbelievable. Scary to think that it could happen one day. Unless have read some of his other works and found this series just as well written.

A good read but I look for a bit of reality and the apparent availability of suit case neucs was a bit of a stretch. I'll read more of Lee Jackson.
