As this was my first read by Jamie K. Schmidt, I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed. I don't read a ton of erotic BDSM romances, but this wasn't too heavy, it was quite sexy, and I am definitely interested enough to go back and read the first two of the series. I am SUCH a series whore...I normally need to read in order or else it screws with my OCD Nature!

Colleen the heroine was awesome...she was strong, and was definitely NOT a doormat...her only fault was that she was a little TOO easy on Chase, who unfortunately I wanted to smack around most of the book....ok...some of the book...sometimes he was in a leather mask on his knees...hee hee. He was just a quick to anger, and overreact and it was a quality I didn't like in the least...and he should have done some MAJOR ass kicking at the end (you know who I am talking about...) after he did a TON as ass-kissing...I would have like to see the ass kicking though.

The whole idea of the Club Inferno series is super interesting and the characters are easy to like, and as a newbie to the series, I wasn't lost on all the different characters and names, they just flowed, which is a testament to Jamie's seamless writing!

Great fun...and I definitely will be up for more in the series!

This is a sexually charged story about a second chance at love. A lot has changed in the ten years since Colleen Bryant and Chase Fairwood have seen each other. Ten years ago, Colleen she was madly in love with Chase, a professional football player, but they broke up and Colleen married a much older, rich man. Colleen is now a rich widow and has the money to do whatever she wants. So she now enjoys an alternate lifestyle where she’s a dominatrix at a BDSM club she owns.

Things have also changed for Chase in the last ten years. Two years ago an unexpected knee injury sidelined he and now he’s in constant pain, he misses playing football and is still trying to figure out what to do with his life. The one thing Chase knows for sure is Colleen is the biggest mistake he’s ever made. I was impressed with Chase’s perseverance. He’s determined to get Coleen back. Unfortunately, Colleen isn’t interested in seeing him. Chase hurt her and Colleen doesn’t want anything to do with him and wishes he would stop bothering her. Colleen agrees to see Chase just to get him out of her hair. She’s sure once he sees the lifestyle she’s into, it will scare him away. Colleen cares about Chase but doesn’t trust him and is afraid to give him her heart again.

Even though I don’t like reading about submissive men, this story worked for me because Chase really isn’t a submissive at heart. Colleen insists on dominating Chase and he’s willing to do anything to get back together with her, so he agrees. The problem is he’s a macho guy, who likes to be in control, so he has to work hard to be submissive and he keeps messing up. Chase and Colleen are still dealing with issues from their past relationship and are constantly fighting and making up. Chase has a short fuse and loses him temper and asks questions later and it gets in the way of their relationship. There is romance and suspense included in this book along with a lot of kink. I enjoyed this provocative story and liked Chase and Colleen. Colleen appears tough but she also has a softer side and Chase shows how confident he is when he agrees to give up control.

I absolutely loved this book. After reading so much Erotica is was really refreshing to read a book with such a strong heroine as a Domme. I loved that aspect of this book.

Colleen knew herself and knew just what it took to make her happy. After being criticized for falling in love and marrying an older man, let alone having that man be a billionaire, she is proving to be not only strong in the fashion world but a true Domme of her own club. After coming back into contact with the one man that caused her such heart break ten years ago she is leery of if he can be let in and not break her heart but more importantly be a sub.

Chase has always loved Colleen. After seeing her again after ten long years, he is determined to have her at any costs. With the two of them coming together from two different worlds it will take not only lots of communication but also forgiveness and determination to make this relationship work.

This book gives you a new take on Erotica in the form of a strong confident Domme who knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a sexy hot read and who isn't intimidated by a sexy woman in charge. For those who love erotica this is a definite must read.

I can't wait for the next installment of this series. I personally would love a book about Dante.

YES! FINALLY! I have been dying to read Colleen's story since we first met her in Heat where she was introduced as the owner of an exclusive fashion resort, Couture, as well as Club Inferno a private members only sex club, which is just below Couture. Well, let me tell you that this book did not disappoint at all!

This Domme is going to get what she has wanted since ex-pro football player Chase Fairwood broke her heart ten years earlier. The chemistry between the two is like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. Chase has never been into Kink the way Colleen is so it is up to her to show him the way.
They are HOT HOT HOT together!!!!

I'm not sure what book will be next but I would love to see Dante's story, he is an interesting Dom to say the least. I think his book would be off the chart's HOT.

Jamie K. Schmidt is a new-to-me author. I was lucky enough to get a review copy thanks to the publisher through NetGalley. This is the first book by Jamie K. Schmidt I've read and while it is the 3rd book in the series, I was easily able to keep up with the characters.

Colleen Bryant is such a strong character. She is also a Domme and loves everything about her kinky lifestyle. She has only ever been a sub to her husband Alfie, but after his death she never wanted to give up control again. While her business life is only heading up her personal life is pretty much non-existent, until her ex-boyfriend Chase Fairwood arrives back in her life.

I loved the chemistry between Colleen and Chase from the very beginning. “They could set the drapes on fire. Right now, if she straddled his lap, they’d break the chair with their enthusiasm. It had always been like that. Hot, intense, deeply satisfying.” Kindle loc 180 Even knowing Chase can’t handle everything about her life, Colleen still wants him with every fiber of her being. Chase knows he screwed up when he lost Colleen and he is now willing to do anything to be with her again. Even agreeing to Colleen’s rules

I knew Chase would have issues with Colleen’s world, yet loved he was willing to do whatever it took to be with her. I loved how she showed him how strong the D/s relationship could be with open and honest communication. As they are both such strong and volatile people, I knew it would take much give and take from them both to make the relationship work long-term.

I loved when Colleen finally told Chase about her relationship with Alfie. I honestly felt like it helped them to connect better as a couple since Colleen was willing to share such a special and wonderful part of her life with Chase. I also felt like it helped Chase to understand her choices a bit more.

However, Chase is still Chase and his control over his temper isn’t as good as it should be and he tends to jump to conclusions way too often. I’ll honestly say that while I wanted Colleen and Chase to end up together, I wondered if he was really committed enough to the lifestyle to make it work. Chase did end up being much stronger in the end than I had given him credit for and I ended up really liking his character.

I really enjoyed Fever very much. So much so that I’ve already bought the first 2 books in the series to read. I usually don’t read books in a series out of order, but found with the Club Inferno series each book can be read as a stand alone.

Again .... Holy HOTNESS batkids! continues to be a theme @ Club Inferno!
Right off the bat I'm gonna tell you that if you want to really enjoy this story, then you are going to have to throw out all the preconceived notions or ideas you may have on what an alpha male should or should not be/act like. Because in THIS story, Chase plays the role of the submissive. I use the wording 'plays the role' because that is exactly what he does, he plays a role. This isn't really who he is. But he is willing to be this in order to win back the woman he loves. Is that not the most romantic thing you have ever seen?!?!? THAT melted my panties AND made me laugh. Because Chase didn't play this role very well. OH NO, he was a walking disaster at it! But he is willing to give up control for Colleen. THAT is swoon worthy right there! And Colleen .... well WOW, that girl could be tough! But guess what? .... she may APPEAR tough, but everyone has a soft spot inside somewhere, and Chase is THE man to bring it out.
I LOVED them both! I loved the growth of their relationship and of themselves. Ms Schmidt did an exceptional job at developing them both as individuals and as a couple. She also did a really good job of making sure all the cast and characters of Club Inferno made an appearance and played a part in the story. It felt like the Club was a true family of sorts.
So here's the deal (lol), if you're looking for a kinky story about two very strong people willing to lose control for each other ... then you have found the book to read! And I promise you will not regret it!

Colleen Bryant is the owner of multiple hotels and resorts including the Couture Resort , centered around fashion and her burgeoning fashion line , but also hidden in the depths of couture is Club Inferno a private BDSM club that she owns and is a practicing Dominatrix.
Colleen may be the Mistress of Club Inferno but when it comes to her own sex life, it has been months , which is why when her ex - boyfreind Chase Fairwood shows up wanting her back she is willing to give him a second chance, but he neds to understand that for their relationship to work he is going to newest take on the roll of a submissive,
Chase Fairwood is an x-football player, an Alpha male with a short fuse playing a submissive for him will not be easy but to have Colleen again he is willing to try.
As you can imagine having two dominants In a relationship and one playing the submissive makes for some intresting scenes, but more than that Chase short temper and failure to listen to Colleen's side of things may be more harmful to them that anything else.
The story is a second chance at romance with a erotic bdsm overtone , well written with recurring characters , doms and subs of Club Inferno that you follow from book to book and are like family to each other,so if you have not already step in and join the club inferno family.

I was drawn by BDSM aspect in the synopsis of this book and since I haven't read any other books by this author or in this series I thought I'd give it a try.

I really enjoyed the Colleen and her 'world' so to speak. She is an excellent Domme who has perfected her craft. Chase on the other hand is as Vanilla as they get, but for his lost love he's willing to try anything. Their dynamic was excellent, I loved the way they played off each other and developed as a couple.

However, the very very very limited inclusion of BDSM left me wanting more, especially of her Domme side since she is supposedly the best. Also the fact that it is labelled as something for people to read after any other book left a bit of a distaste in my mouth because I felt like it was simply trying to draw off the success of other authors.

All said, I think the writing was good and I would read another book by this author.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

This is the third in a series, and definitely follows on from previous storylines, however it is definitely strong enough to read on its own.

This is a well written, engaging read, which has a good mix of misunderstanding, miscommunication, jealousy and hot, passionate chemistry. I liked the way that Colleen's friends are at times defensive, but also do everything to ensure she gets her happiness. I loved the chemistry between Colleen and Chase, and the compromise they negotiated, and the closeness that they could deny each other.

Highly recommend this book, but would suggest that you read all of the series in order, for a really good read.

Volatile

Chas and Colleen are volatile as in...gasoline meet fire. Their ten year history may preclude them from ever having a successful relationship. Chase has always leapt to conclusions and as a result shoots himself in the foot where Colleen is concerned. Even after ten years he still hasn't learned his lesson. I love Colleen. She's one smart, successful, creative woman. But she needs a challenge and to satisy her needs which she has neglected for a while. Making Chase her sexual slave has all the earmarks of failing not to mention that her heart may shatter once again if she doesn't protect herself. It's a long way from vanilla to rocky road.

I'm addicted to this series. Club Inferno is such a hot, erotic, romantic story. It was amazing to finally see Colleen get hers! Chase was a hot head and I really wanted her to not be with him. The suspense, the action, the fun of this series, is well proven in this book. I feel you could easily read this series in whatever order you want, these books stand alone very well. But why would you want to miss out on an amazing series?

I have a soft spot for second chance romance and I liked this one a lot. I also love strong heroines that are not over the top, and I really loved Colleen. The chemistry between her and chase was palpable, and I liked how their sexual relationship developed, the tug and war as they explored each other sensuality was both sweet and so hot.

I really like this spicy erotica with the Master/Mistress and Sub play, the past that Chase and Colleen have even when it left on a misunderstanding 10 years prior that lead to marriage asap for Colleen to a elderly billionaire. Colleen has a hot/cold attitude towards Chase, she wants his body but not his views then she has past encounters prior to this book and knows the chemistry is still hot. But Colleen has control issues, I get that she has hotels that her husband gave her before he died and his family wanted her out and hush hushed, and being the head Mistress for her underground BDSM Club but when she left Chase into her world she’s throwing it all out there in front of him and expects him to just get down on his knees and beg for forgiveness? Yea right! The guy was a defensive tackle player and a man’s man he just won’t give control over that fast. And when Colleen can’t get her way she’s gives the silent treatment or fights. She should realize he’s new and gradually introduce Chase into her world and be patient with him. For Chase his attitude was to much in places where he wouldn’t listen and understand what’s happening but goes off like a rocket. Sometimes I blame his complaining on his newness but I also blame it on Colleen too.

Here’s their back story in short, if you want to understand their complication .... they met at a casino where she works to bring the ‘whales’ to spend big bucks and Chase fell for Colleen. Her other job is in a house of pain and Colleen was working of spankings and Chase walks in and thinks she’s cheating, he gets drunk and has cheerleaders in their bed when Colleen comes back to their hotel room and sees the bed of cheerleaders and Chase sleeping. She thinks he cheated throw his closes out, flushes is cards and whatever else down the toilet and leaves. But when’s she’s at work at a casino and late 70s year old man makes a deal with Colleen and he brings her into the world of a Sub and they marry after the bet was done.

Fever is the third book in the Club Inferno series, but could be read as a stand alone. Chase is determined to get his back - all ten years apart has done is show him how much he still loves her. While a part of Colleen knows that she will always love Chase, she knows to protect her heart, as her needs has changed since they were together last. Working through past hurts, a jealous Dom, and the new dynamic to their relationship isn’t easy, but will it be too much for a lasting future?

I’m so happy that Colleen got her own romance, as I’ve been interesting in knowing more about her since book one! I really enjoyed the dynamic between Colleen and Chase. I loved her need for control yet Chase always drove her to distraction. I loved that Chase was willing to do anything to have Colleen back in his life, was willing to try anything, and I loved that he really had to work on some of his anger issues. Second chance romances aren’t always my favorite, but I did enjoy this one. There were a lot of past hurts that they needed to overcome, communication issues they needed to work on to help their future, and their sexual dynamic just really added a unique twist to everything they needed to face. The background drama was just as engaging, with familiar characters from previous books, the fashion side of everything, and I loved how Master Dante played into everything, too. Overall, I really enjoyed this book!

Fever by Jamie K. Schmidt is book 3 in the Club Inferno Series. It's a story about Colleen Bryant who is a successful business women at Couture/Club Inferno as well as an accomplished Domme. Ten years ago her heart was broken by her ex-Chase Fairwood which changed the course of her life. Now Chase returns to her as he wants to becoming a member at Couture/Club Inferno in order to win her back. Colleen is hard pressed to forgive him but the sexual attraction they have for each other gets in the way as she is having a hard time refusing him. When he learns about her lifestyle choices he is confused and doesn't understanding this kinky world. Now that another Dom wants her, Chase is faced with a decision in order to win her back, he will have to learn to be apart of this lifestyle but his alpha ways is proving difficult for him as he is having a hard time giving up control and surrending to her. Can they be together again as Colleen will never give up control? Can Chase look past his feelings and submit to her? This exciting romance has much passion and drama as you follow this relationship. Can they both give up control to be together and get pass this hurdle? This is a must read and I highly recommend the entire series.

It's the story that I have been waiting for and it did not disappoint. Colleen the professional Domme and Chase the ex-profootball player are past lovers and find themselves together again after a devastating breakup ten years earlier. The attraction is still there much to Colleen's dismay but, the big question about rekindling their relationship is - will it really work? Colleen needs to protect her heart and be true to herself in the lifestyle she lives and Chase's ignorance towards the lifestyle and not into extreme kink plus his alpha tendencies prove to be extreme challenging. This dynamic couple hit some many bumps because of Colleen's business/lifestyle and Chase's misunderstandings about how it all works. It is a riveting and exciting romance with enough drama to make you wonder how Colleen and Chase manage past it all. I really enjoyed the story, the Couture/Club Inferno characters and look forward to the next book in the series.

Colleen and Chase are the stars in this, the third book in the series. They have history together and as the story plays out, information is revealed that might shift your thinking about one or both of them. I've got to say that I wasn't a huge fan of his most of the book. The comments coming out of his mouth via the author were at times shocking and unbelievable. I wasn't sure if I wanted him to get back with Colleen. I did feel that this story was mostly one sided though as the author didn't really give much clue to Colleen's decision making after their fallout years earlier. Her reasoning was too simplistic for me to be believable. But even though the book was about them, the author wove a number of smaller and very effective storylines into the main story that added intrigue, drama, depth, humor, suspense and action to give you the whole experience. And that's why this book is worth 5 stars.

This is book three in the Club Inferno series and we get to know Colleen in this book. This woman is simply amazing, she has taken a few hits along the way but now she is top notch in the fashion world and of course, her side club, Club inferno, is not doing so bad either. Just like all characters in a book Colleen has a past and a piece of hers just walked through the club doors, Chase Fairwood. Colleen and Chase dated about ten years ago. Obviously, they broke up and went their separate ways. Chase on to be a pro football player and Colleen, well there are a few steps to getting to where she is today. Colleen is looking to settle down but can she find someone that can be both the vanilla and the spice that she needs in her life? Is she willing to risk her heart with Chase again? This was an entertaining read to see what happens and if Colleen can find her HEA as well.

Can the Mistress convince the former defensive tackle to be her submissive????
Whoa…yes, that is the question! I’ve waited for this story since the beginning of the Club Inferno series. Colleen is the owner and Mistress at Club Inferno, which is the exotic, BDSM side to her Club where the vanilla side is Couture. Before she married, Alfie her late and very wealthy husband, she had dated Chase a defensive tackle football player. OK. BIG guy, right? Can you see him being her submissive? He!! NO. After his knee injury he’s dabbled in lots of things but he’s never gotten over his attraction to Colleen. He finds a way back into her life, but what does Colleen want now after his bedroom slipup?
LOVED this story. Imagining the hanky-panky wasn’t bad either. If you’re looking for an “enemies” to lovers story with lots of naughtiness, read this book. You will not be disappointed. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout.

Their romance was never going to be easy!
by sewsummore
Chase was Colleen's first love, she walked away from him when she caught his cheating on her and ten years later he was still trying to get her back. This was an emotional read, she never forgot him and never stopped loving him. For Chase, he knew that there would never be a woman who could take her place and it was up to him to show her just how much she meant to him. Their romance was never going to be smooth sailing, she was a strong woman who had survived the heartbreak of young love. This book was compulsive reading, it is only the ones we love that can hurt us the most. I rejoiced in their coming together and was saddened when Chase messed up once again. Their attraction to each other was intense, compelling and emotional and their ending impossible.

Honestly, and typically, Female Domme's are not a trope that I will typically read. However, I'm completely in love with the Club Inferno series, so I was dying to read about the illustrious owner, Colleen. After first being introduced when her best friend needed to hide out in Book 1, I was completely hooked by this book. Even learning about her backstory in little tidbits in prior books of the series made me intrigued to learn more. To finally read her story, and see her get her HEA with the one person that previously book my heart was such a thrill to read. I think this book is aptly named Fever, as I was definitely feeling feverish while reading this book. There are some really hot scenes that utterly blew me away and I had to stop reading just to catch my breath!

This series is a definite recommendation from me, and while each book can be read as a standalone, I think it's best to read them all!

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.

Chase and Colleen used to date many years ago until she found him in bed with a bunch of cheerleader the night of the game. She left vowing never to talk to him again. Then she winds up marrying Alfie who was an old gentlemen that she had met while working in Las Vegas. When he passed away he left her a very wealthy widow but she had always cared for Alfie.

Chase has come back into her life again when he made a huge donation to her sister's women's shelter. He was always in love with Colleen so he applied for membership at the Club Inferno just so he could be there with her. Colleen was a Domme and she knew that getting back with Chase would be a disaster he wasn't into the lifestyle and she knew he could never be her sub. Things go from bad to worse.

Colleen Bryant is the owner of the resort Couture, Club Inferno, and a Domme. Chase Fairwood was a pro football player until an injury ended his career, and the man Colleen was in love with before she met and married her late husband. Chase is determined to win her back, but Colleen doesn't think she can go back to a vanilla relationship. Chase will convince Colleen that he is welling to try to be her sub, but rumors and innuendos beyond their control may destroy any chance they may have for a happily ever after.

Well written and sexy characters doing their best to rekindle their love. Fun, and fascinating plot with unexpected twists, as well as naughty, tastefully written, not over the top, BDSM scenes. Fantastic book, I loved it.

Professional Domme and sex club owner are only a couple of hats that Colleen wears. Chase is a retired football player and the ex she hasn't seen in ten years. Chase wants a second chance and she is considering it but first he is going to get an eye opening view of Colleen's world. There is nothing submissive about Chase but he's willing to do anything to get Colleen back. He has a few lessons to learn first though...

I liked the characters but they certainly have a lot of issues to work out, namely Chase's propensity for storming out first and asking questions later. Colleen is not the type of character I can relate to but she was much more forgiving than I would be! In any case, this sexy story is well-written and held my interest all the way through. It's an enjoyable read.

I've enjoyed this series so far but to my mind this one wasn't as good as the first 2 books. I couldn't warm to the main characters. He adored her but struggled with insecurity issues and had a quick fire temper that wasn't attractive. She was a Domme but was half-hearted in her attempts to train him and this caused issues/misunderstandings. This story also had a number of smaller stories going on within it that really didn't get the attention or completion that they deserved, making it feel a bit choppy and unfinished. Maybe the others are getting their own stories down the road which is why they were left feeling unfinished?

I'm glad I have stuck with this series as it seems to have developed and allowed us to see more of what makes Club Inferno tick. That's probably because this is the determined and sassy Colleen's story and she is the heart of the club. I enjoyed seeing more from her, I was a bit disappointed by Chase and felt he didn't really change much throughout but, they certainly make an interesting pairing! I think again it seems rushed in places and this again lets it down but overall, the story is much more believable and more than simply hot sex which for me, is much better and I am keen to see other characters tales in this series if they are ever written.

In the shadows of her Fashion resort business Colleen Bryant presides over a much more intimate world: Club Inferno. The successful businesswoman and sex instructor has built an empire that caters to the BDSM elite, but now she finds herself longing for something a bit more ordinary: a man to love. She’s looking for someone who will accept what she does for a living and her old flame, ex-pro football player Chase Fairwood will fulfill those needs.

Chase has never found a woman as hot, sexy, or exciting as Colleen. He is willing to play her games, and to give as good as he gets. His return to Club Inferno will reignite their scorching past. demands. A competing rival Dom hoping to brand Colleen as his own will really heat things up.
