Dianna Lovell was done running. Her children needed a pack, so she had found one. Since her husband had died and even before his death, they had been running from the Black Claw Pack. When the Howlin Alpha took her in, she was grateful. Her boys needed to learn to control their shifting. As a human, she knew nothing about raising shifters.
When the Alpha’s brothers take her and her boys in to protect them, she can’t help but notice one of them. Jackson is everything a man should be and more. The boys’ father would want her to move on. What has her confused was the intensity in which she wanted this man.

The Doctor wolf and his human Alpha
Jackson Bardolf, triplet with his Alpha and Beta brothers, Phoenix and Dallas, medic and physician, has found his mate in the most unexpected places, right under his nose. When he grabbed Dianna Lovell to protect her from Jamison the Black Claw Alpha, he knew she was his mate. She already had a fated mate in Weston Lovell the powerful former Alpha of the Black Claw pack. He is certain she is his. She and her boys have been with their pack for a year now. Now he has to figure out how to explain thing to her. That her boys will be safe with him. He is not above maybe seeing what her youngest son has to say.
Dianna Lovell feels safe for the first time since her mate was killed almost 4 year ago. Finding the Howlin Ranch Pack a year ago and a recently pledging to Phoenix has given her a safe place to raise her teen boys. Her pledge is tested when two enforcer from the Black Claw pack try to kidnap her from the diner. The pack members there and a bear shifter, come to her defense. Then Phoenix, Dallas and Jackson arrive, and her being mate to Jackson slips out, and she feels a sense of relief, suddenly things she has been feeling are clearer. She is puzzled by the fact she mate to another alpha. That she feels a stronger connection to Jackson than she did to Weston. She has not intention of denying his claim.
The Council comes to investigate and obtain statements on the action of the Black Claw pack. Dianna learns some startling news. Weston never abdicated his position, he merely put his beta in charge, and went on the run with his mate. With Weston's death, she became the Alpha until her oldest, Sawyer, turns 18, in a few weeks, then he is Alpha. Dianna is in more danger then ever. She has options. When some younger members of the Black Claw pack come looking for her she learns that maybe some of what she and Weston were running from, they should have been running to.
Loved Jackson and Dianna's story. Can't wait for the next book and seeing who finds their mate next and what is in store next for the Black Claw and Howlin Ranch Packs.

Hard Choices
Dianna mated Weston, an Alpha wolf shifter when she was just eighteen. She had their first son at nineteen years old.
Weston was a good man, and a good alpha, but his pack had too many who were steeped in ancient mores.
They wouldn’t accept a human mate to their alpha, so Weston took his family and ran to protect them.
When he died in a traffic fatality, his human wife was left to raise three alpha boys on her own, while still on the run, and grieving the loss of her mate.
A lesser woman would have collapsed under the strain.
Dianna was not a lesser woman!
Fate led her to Howling Ranch Pack, where she asked for sanctuary for herself and her sons.
Sanctuary was granted.
This is the story of how a brave, strong woman got a second chance at love and acceptance in a pack where being a human fated mate was not only accepted, but celebrated.

Another fabulous story
Part two is just as great as part one was. Jackson knew Dianna was his true mate the moment he picked her up after the Black Claw pack's Jamison tried to kidnap and kill her. Jackson was her true mate too, even though she was mated to Weston until Weston died. When Weston died, Dianna became the Alpha of the Black Claw pack, although she didn't know it. Lots of action in this story. I am looking forward to reading part three.

Good stories - difficult to read
The author is a good storyteller who desperately needs a proof reader. The misuse of words are very distracting. Please learn the difference between "accept" and "except". Grammar and vocabulary used properly enhance a story. Used incorrectly they derail it.

I call this series shifter lite because the storyline and characters feel that way (cliff-note). Not shallow but a medium level of detail.
