An amazingly detailed treatment of the deposition of sedimentary particles and the accumulation of sedimentary strata against the backdrop of ongoing geologic time. Offers a method whereby chronostratigraphic analysis of a sedimentary succession at a given locality can be carried out, providing a semi-quantitative picture of blocks of time recorded and intervals of time represented as unconformities and/or condensed sections at that locality.
