Understanding Behavior The Human Effect
To be able to teach a dog anything you first have to understand your role. You do not have to go to special classes or courses to be able to teach a dog. You just have to understand what part you are playing in the dogs’ current behavior and how to change it.
The key to understanding why a dog behaves a specific way is to look at the whole picture. How the humans are acting and reacting to any specific behavior will either reinforce it or change it.
