Peter Bleksley was the best undercover cop Scotland Yard ever had. In over 10 years operating in covert squads, he came up against some of the most hardened, lethal, and bizarre underworld operators, constantly putting his life on the line so that the deadliest villains would end up where they behind bars. A master of disguise, he assumed numerous identities in order to get close to his targets—drug dealers, counterfeiters, gangsters, and hitmen. This is a breathtaking story that will take you inside a world that few have access to. It is the story of a man so dedicated to his job that it became more important even than his own life, a man so professional that his reputation preceded him the world over.
BLEX FOR PRIME MINISTER!!! THE BLEX FOR PRIME MINISTER!!! How this guy stayed out of this position for so long amazes me. I mean he single-handedly managed to save his queen and nation from all sorts of undesirables while learning how to be the top in his profession, fucking his way through half of Europe, maintaining his sainthood bestowed on him by himself, avoiding assassination, drinking tea, doing the Times crossword in 3 minutes, while managing to pass his rather large head through a multitude of wide doorways. And that was just on a Monday.
It's a mystery to me how he managed to find the time to impersonate a 5 year old's style of writing, scrawling his way through 304 pages of the most absolute drivel I have ever had the misfortune to attempt to read. I use the word attempt to try to convey just how difficult it was to read this book. While the writing was very simple in itself, the context seemed to come straight out of his anus rather than his brain.
Sorry, I tried, but just not for me.
P.S. I hope he doesn't read this review and come find me and kill me.
