Clayton had it all: good looks, star soccer player, and the unlikeliest girl of his dreams. Life wasn't good. It was great. Until a family tragedy strikes and shatters Clayton's world as he knows it, along with his memory.
As Clayton struggles to put the pieces of his life back together, his beautiful, brown-skinned guardian angel with the wavy hair and soulful eyes is with him the entire way. But who is she? He may not know her name, but her face and the way she fills his heart are definitely unforgettable.
Find out what happens when life as you know it is turned inside out and you’re forced to put the pieces back together, one memory at a time.
Danyell A. Wallace was born in Alaska and is currently living in Alabama. She’s a mom to three awesome kids, and a wife to an incredibly supportive husband. When she’s not using her imagination to write very adult, very sexy books, she’s reading, spending time with family and friends, watching football, and catching up on TV shows that she has saved on the DVR.
This was a great story have to admit the title didn't fit. To me, anything with the words mind f*ck I instantly think dark romance but this wasn't that. Both Clayton and Kennedys past was bittersweet up until Clayton had an accident and got amnesia. My only dislike was that his only memory loss was of his life with Kennedy no one else just her. It just messed with my emotions...huh, maybe that was the mind F*ck? Ok then it does fit lol!
Clayton and Kennedy take us on a journey of past and present each telling their story of when they met, fell in love, and how it all went bad then back to happy every after which of course is my absolute favorite type of reads and also I/R Y/A to N/A at that! I'm excited to read more from this author.
Descriptive sex scene. Hero gets bj from another girl
Other woman drama....a lot of it. Hero was hot shit and every woman wanted him or had him at some point.
Hero slept around after separation. Heroine only slept with one other guy.
Hero kissed heroine for the first time the night after he slept with some other chick. Then after the separation, he slept with the heroine the night after breaking up with his girlfriend WITHOUT A CONDOM. Gross
Won't be reading the next book either (Bryce and Ava's book). The heroine of that books walks in on the hero having sex. If the first lines of the book turned me off. The hero is proud that he gets called a walking std since he sleeps around so much.

This story will go on my favorite book/re-read shelf. This is a sweet and wonderful small town romance and I loved this story. You can feel the love between Clayton and Kennedy -- so much so, that I didn't want it to end. I'm looking forward to Bryce & Ava's Story because I'm sure we'll be able to catch up with Clayton, Kennedy and Corbin.
4.5 Stars for this IRR enemies to lovers YA. We have an Alpha male, Clayton and Alpha female Kennedy and chemistry that is off the charts! This is my first time reading one of Ms. Wallace novels and it definitely won’t be the last. The only reason it is not 5 plus stars is the plot had so much going on I felt like it was a lot. Still a great read y’all!
This. Book. Is. The. isht! I mean, I mean, Clayton & Kennedy are so messy gooooood. Their journey and battle to make it is an incredible story.
I felt so connected to these two characters it felt like I was sitting in a theater watching a movie 🎥 instead of reading a 📖. I tried to eat and read and found it hard to do because I didn’t want to take my eyes off the page to find the food on the plate 🙂.
The supporting characters were intricate to the storyline without being intrusive, best supporting cast ever.
Waste no time reading this, I think you will thoroughly enjoy it.
Clayton and Kennedy were young but both were mature enough to know that they were "it" for each other. Through many trials and tribulations they prevailed.
Is it possible to read a book a feel the love? Hard to explain, but it was like the author-Danyell embedded love, happiness, pain and sorrow into every word, every sentence and every paragraph creating this book.
MindF#ck to me is about a the innocence of first, real and genuine love few hope for and some are lucky enough to experience and even hold onto. Clayton and Kennedy stumble blindly through their courtship as they both experience misfortunes in life and separation.
While reading I couldn't help myself from getting lost in the characters-Clayton and Kennedy . I felt this book deep within and though I have finished it I can honestly say I that I am still reeling because this was such a good read.
I am not a stranger to Danyell's work, but this book has impressed me the most. I will definitely be checking for more books by her. Hope to see another soon.
I loved this story but I did not realize it was YA. As a mom of a 17 year ole, I definitely had to skip over some parts. However, if you are into YA stories, this one is excellent. It was well written, likable characters, and decent plot. It’s part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I don’t think I’ll be reading the next book but if the author ever moves on to mature adult characters, I’m there for it.
The good: This is one of my favourite tropes BWWM. The characters are loveable and most readers will identify with them. They have a good chemistry and steam and an epic romance. I loved Clay's commitment to Kennedy. I also enjoyed all the push-pull, will they-won't they that came out of all the crazy situations that kept tearing them apart. This made for a delicious read because their relationship kept being "reincarnated" and every time they'd hook up was almost as hot as the first time. He'd make a great partner IRL, not so much as my favourite type of hero though (dark, antihero, alphahole). The writing was OK, interesting enough.
The bad: This was a super sweet romance, the kind that gives you cavities and worth being in the Hallmark category. It just wasn't dark or ansty enough for me. Although this couple goes through endless drama worthy of a soap opera, the solutions to the climaxes are all undramatic and pretty mundane. The amount of crazy situations that tore this couple apart seemed far-fetched for it all to happen to one couple in a short lifetime... especially the number of people that got hurt in such a short time frame: Kyle, Clay, Kennedy, her parents, the baby etc. It was one thing after another and bordered on ridiculous. But at the same time, there was a lot of mundane descriptions and life events that could have been edited out.
So I give this story a 3.5/5. It could have been a 4 but fell short for the above reasons.

Wow!! This was such a sweet story. It was a roller coaster of events that ended with a HEA. It is definitely a good read. My first time reading one of her books.
5 plus stars. What an interesting read this book was. This is my first book by this author and I was hooked from the beginning to the end. I’ll definitely be reading Ava and Bryce’s story. Highly recommended!
First of all, I was disappointed by the ending. If it was a real HEA, he would have gone back to school and finish his soccer career there and even better got to play overseas as he planned. Otherwise there was a big issue with the timeline. Sometimes it had been 8 months, other times 2 months. I know there were teenagers but obviously they didn’t live each other that much. There were both over 18 and there are such things as scholarships and work if you really want to. As for her dad getting them to rescind the offer, I don’t buy it but even so there are other colleges in the States. Lastly her dad was never going to respect them if they didn’t stood up to him, as it was they just showed it was a passing fancy. The accident was unfortunate but with the rain who is to say that he was the one at fault? His parents should have said something after all these months because as he said, what if he gave in to someone else? Way to make a messy situation, messier.
Solid 4+ book. Wonderful gem that I had previously overlooked because of the title & cover. However, after reading the synopsis, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. There are some heavy subject matters woven within the story, so I would urge anyone contemplating reading this book to heed the author’s warning—there are triggers. I think these issues were explored without being overly maudlin. Rather, the author skillfully handled these “heavy” issues with sensitivity and gentle discernment. That is a huge plus for me.
Additionally, the main characters, Kennedy and Clayton, were so delightful, and their love for each other was bright as a shining star. The cast of secondary characters were also extremely appealing. There was a great deal of explicit sex, but the book really didn’t get bogged down with it- but the sexual escapades almost impeded the storytelling. There were a few dropped words, but there were no major editing issues. I did find that there was some repetition; however, because past and present events are fundamental to the plot line, some repetitiveness is warranted in my opinion.
Overall, this book was a very solid and satisfying read. Moreover, the author adroitly tackled some weighty issues. I was impressed with this author, and I’m looking forward to Book 2 entitled Sweet As F*ck. I guess I will learn NOT to judge a book by it’s cover (or title), eventually!
An opening that grabs you and keeps your interest suspended. However the story comes to a screeching halt as the lovers story goes back to their past. It was a bit too far back, high school, and the story prodded along. If you can persevere the story does get interesting again. A bit of critical feedback; the use of an unplanned pregnancy as a plot twist is so over used in these stories. Secondly, our hero suffered a traumatic life event involving his brother but the relationship was not developed enough in the story. There would have been more there to enable readers to empathize with those characters. Overall it was a good read and I would recommend it. This is a new writer to me but I would definitely keep her work on my radar.
Clayton Richardson good looking, star soccer player has all the women trying to get his attention but he only has eyes for Kennedy the unlikeliest girl in the school and all the girls cannot understand why. When a family tragedy strikes Clayton his life is turned upside down.
Mind F*ck was absolutely breathtaking, this storyline and different plot twist just had me shaking my head. I could not put this book down. I loved the reversal of the roles of the family dynamics. This is my first book by this author and I can guarantee it will not be the last, it is so hard to leave this review without posting spoilers. The chemistry between Kennedy and Clayton was off the hook. These characters had me laughing, crying and I just loved me some Corbin. I am so looking forward to Bryce and Ava’s story. I highly recommend this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Oh boy was this a good story!I love how the writer navigates through time in this story and it is done so effortlessly. This was such an intense story on love and life. The writer opens. The door on when real life things happen to people and how they handle them.We are also treated to such a sweet sexy intense love. There are moments when you simile and think I know them. Thereare moments when this couple exhaust you because of the mistakes and misunderstanding that young couples make..This was good storytelling and with such good moments and you are drawn to finish this story.Once you are done you so look forward to see what happens next with this group.
So much love and angst ....teenagers Clayton and Kennedy becomes each other's everything...growing up in two different worlds....yet experiencing the same obstacles dealing with family and friends....high school..jealousy...guilt...hormones....then ..as soon as they finally become a true couple....finally putting their relationship first...making it their main focus...tragedy strikes...and everything is upside down..
My 3rd book from this author. I love her writing, her storytelling. I always love books that don't have the norm storyline. This book did not disappoint. I loved the 2 MC Clayton and Kennedy they sure didn't start off on good terms but they sure did end on them. I loved how they got their HEA. I loved reading how they feel in love and what led Clayton piecing back his lost memories. This story tugged at my heart especially when it was revealed why Kennedy wasn't there. Another great book by this author!
It took me a few days to really get into the story. It had a very slow start for me.
I loved how the author included the history of the couple so that everything made perfect sense. The love between the couple was unbelievable. I enjoyed it till the end. Kennedy was a strong female throughout her trials. I would love to read more about Kennedy.
I have been a fan Danyell A. Wallace's work since I read "His Number One Fan". I have never been disappointed. I really enjoyed reading Clayton and Kennedy's story. This couple have a great connection and great chemistry. The story flowed well and held attention the entire time. I don't want to put any spoilers in this review, so I recommend that you check this book out for yourself. You will not regret it. Good job, Danyell A. Wallace! I look forward to reading your next release.

I have never heard of this author before and decided to take a chance when I stumble across this story of Clayton and Kennedy . I am so glad I did. This story was sweet and steamy I am glad Clay and Kennedy found their way back to each other . O can’t wait to read more from Ms. Wallace .
This was a good quick read. I liked the title but I thought it would be more suspenseful. However, I loved the flow of the story. This is about Kennedy and Clayton who were high school sweethearts and do to some tragic life events they lose each other. Clayton has amnesia but remembers the Angel that saves his life but doesn’t remember that angle is his wife. This book gave me feels. I wanted to genuinely cheer for Kennedy and Clayton. Overall pretty good book.
My first book by this author and it certainly won’t be my last! The title says it all, as Clayton and Kennedy’s enemies to lovers story was full of drama... some of it shady with plenty of poignant moments. Both are alpha 18 year olds, with raging hormones and strong personalities who face unimaginable obstacles. Their combustible chemistry, and how their story evolved made this an enjoyable read. There was a lot happening in this story, but somehow it fit the circumstances affecting Clayton and Kennedy. What do they do and how do they cope? Now I’m of a certain age so I personally had trouble connecting with them. However, I found their characters well developed and likable. Hence, there’s the magic of reading and discovering what happens.
