Justice delayed is not justice denied... Avery Collins went to prison for seven years for a murder she did not commit. And now her best friend, and Private Investigator, Regina Baldwin, is investigating the case and finds corruption, deceit, sick greed and games at the highest level. The highest level. Little by little, one by one, Regina uncovers the powerful forces behind Becky Whitfield's murder. And, little by little, one by one, Regina, helps her best friend take just revenge on each of these men and women who ruined Avery's life so many years ago. Avery was once an innocent pawn in their sick games. But the hunted is now the hunter. Revenge is a dish best served cold.... And Avery should know.
It is unfortunate that the writer did not do due diligence when writing this book, as the story would really be worthy of 5 stars if not for the numerous, profuse grammatical errors throughout the book. A lack of proper proofreading seems to be the ban of so many of our newer writers, and they do themselves no favor. Wish I could have given a better review, but the writer left me no choice.
Excellent reading . First rate court room thriller with all the background that compares even maybe exceeds John Grisham !!! Best to read this one after reading previous book Presumption of Guilt by same author with same main characters .
I really enjoyed the two books I have read so far. Great story line and characters. It is great that her next book starts where the first or second one ends. Really like that. Took about two and a half days to read the books.
This is an excellent book. This is as very good thriller. This is a very good series. This has all the suspense and thrills that I enjoy. I highly recommend this book and series.
This story is so true, it is creepy and too real life. Real life is so sad and even when you know it is a real possibility, it is even worse. Very well written and explicit.
I'm glad I continued to finish Avery's portion of the Southern California Legal Thriller. The author wrapped up the first part and this second part of the series proficiently. There was more than one case being investigated, and in conclusion everyone got some type of justice.
