A baffling case that has troubled Wade Parker for over ten years.
The key player—one of the deadliest snakes in the world.
Can it be solved?
When Parker asks Miranda to take on the case of an old friend accused of murder, driven by love and her relentless desire for justice, she agrees. But the killing is just as mystifying to her, and she fears she can’t give Parker the result he wants.

Ten years ago Parker tried to prove a friend was innocent of killing his wife. Parker ‘s first wife was dying with cancer. Parker tried to help his friend but his friend was convicted. Now his friend is on death row and only had a few weeks to live. Parker asks Miranda to look into the case with her team to see if Miranda can find something he missed to stop the death of his friend. This is a quick read because you cannot put the book down.
Lindsey Lanier is a very thorough researcher and writer. Each book, I learn something I never knew about. It amazes me how each plot is so different. The reader of Miss Laniers books will never be bored.
Actually read this a while ago but forgot to update lol
I love the Miranda and Parker series. Cannot get enough of them. I just love the characters. Like seeing the group all together for most of this book. Love when they all work together. Kind of had an idea who done it, but still very enjoyable.
Well, you have done it again!! I read this book in two days. If I did not have your wonderful books to read during this Covid 19 pendemic. I would lose my mind. Please keep up the excellent work! Your books just keep getting better and better! More power to you.You really excell at writing fantastic books.
What to do when you can't get the info to keep a friend from death row?
Another great read. Just keep getting better! What a team, love Parker Investigations. Miranda keeps getting better at her cases along with choosing the right fit for the job. The team is doing great current assignment is certainly the most difficult. Now they are under the gun.
Lindsey Lanier is a very talented author who writes incredibly compelling books that keep you spellbound. I found it impossible to put any of the books down until I finished it. Now I eagerly await the 13th installment of this exciting series about Miranda and Parker.
Miranda wondered why the innocent so often felt guilty, while the guilty rarely did. Perhaps because it was only the good who had the capacity for guilt. So much truth to these words.
I don't know what else to say except what I have been saying that this is more than a five star series . It is really a ten star series. It is a must read. The suspense and the mystery are outstanding. Great series .
I really like the Miranda and Parker Mysteries. This book didn't seem to have as much plot to it as other books or maybe I just wasn't as into the story because of the use of snakes.
Miranda and Parker are at it again. Using the elite team that has been created for Miranda. They need to stop the execution of one of Parker’s old friends. Will they succeed. They deal with creepy crawlers in this case. Enjoy.
Thank you for another thrilling and horrific story involving Miranda and Parker. The storyline was fast-moving and the characters were amazing. It was creepy, but the ending was superb.
Always looking for how the beginning is going to tie into the plot of the story. Although snakes are not my thing, story was a thriller up to the end. Enjoyed the book.
Snake bit Goory, glad the Parkers team saved the girls and got the bad guy. In real life working girls go on from one city to the next. There’s probably a lot of fallout connected the “ring” that Miranda and Parker won’t see. Not quite so easily dismissed in real life. Good book.
If you love seeing the bad guys take hard hits, watching the higher ups think they are going to be the ones to win, then watching them fail, this is your series!
Extremely unusual! This case turns out to be the most bizarre and unusual of all the many diverse cases Miranda and Parker have had! Plot is fascinating and becomes more so as it unfolds! Old hatreds, old grudges, long memories!
I just can not get enough of Miranda and Parker.I am hinge reading this series. I absolutely love the chemistry between the characters.I can picture each one
Not a fan of snakes by any stretch of the imagination, but brother got his just deserts. On to book 10. Mind bender. Who is this person still in the background?
This one was interesting, but it felt more like a filler. I'm a bit annoyed with the weird stuff at the end as well. Other than that, I liked it and the story was really cool.
Exceptional story of nature vs. nature. Miranda and Parker end up in New Orleans to find evidence to free an innocent man. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Definitely loving this series.
