Miranda and Wade are on there honeymoon in Hawaii, when she has another temper tantrum at Wade and walks out on him again. Getting old fast after four stories.
Wade discovers Miranda's father is living in Hawaii, on their first night, they see a show involving a fire dancer who is killed and Miranda finds his body. She goes off trying to find the killer. In the meantime, the son of a man Wade killed years earlier is out for revenge. While Miranda learns about her father and his new family.

I would like to read one story whereby Miranda doesn't walk out on Wade, saying their marriage won't work. Yes, she is an abused woman, had a tough life but time she makes peace with her past and accepts it so she can move forward.

Beyond frustrating! I wanted to tear my hair out! Miranda is such a b.......east!

I have faithfully followed this series! While book two had hugevtriggers, I navigated the material somewhat successfully! Firedancer broke my heart! I finally realized I can't stand her! Yes, she had a horrific childhood, endured a nightmare marriage and lost her daughter! (I will not elaborate on those horrors)!
Miranda is resilient, strong, intuitive and resourceful! She is also completely unlikeable, surly(a huge understatement)! She marries Parker fully exspecting to flee the marriage! She clearly doesn't love Parker, who for unimaginable reasons loves her unconditionally! On the honeymoon, at the first disagreement she flees without a second thought! Sure she likes the sex and how Parker looks out for her, but....who gives a sh...out!
This novel was like fingernails on a chalkboard! Screeching, horrible and agonizing. Miranda seems to have no reedeeming value! Yet Parker, fool that he is.....loves this incorrigable women!
This entire book Miranda ruminates about fleeing Parker! Her dire circumstances aside, she is still responsible for her actions!
Alright so I hated her the first 2/3rds of the tale! The last third I sobbed my eyes out! It did not redeem the book! Cold, callused and lacking human emotion....devoid of human filters, is not entertaining, enduring or acceptable!
At lasr Miranda stoically ellicited a small resolve toward Parker and her new relations! Too little, too late!
Will I read the next episode in the serial? Yes, I'm totally invested but feel betrayed!
I've ranted enough! The book was agonizing, slow and boring but settled in a for a great ending!
I've been scorned and hell hath no fury, but I'll persevere and stare down the next offering (i'm probably charged more for Kindle books then men also! Okay that was just spiteful! But it's my perogative.....right?

Miranda Meets Her Extended Family!4.5***** Spoiler Alert!

Surprised by her Hawaiian honeymoon with Wade 3, the two had their first fight after she found out he found her dad in HI, against her wishes. This led to her finding the fire dancer's body /her half brother Kehoe, and sensing it was not suicide but murder. Miranda doggedly track clues, deduced the guilty party, got arrested, again, but was released as her younger half brother confessed to witnessing the murder Is how his brother, by Jonathan; while Wade3 past case came full circle. She, with her dad, Edward and bro, entered the cave in time to rescue Wade from a watery chained grave. She met the step family and attended the ocean funeral, and realized that her dad left because her Mom was a royal nag, and he could not take a 5 yr old on the road with him. Edward's hereditary disease maybe the ticket to unseal Amy's adoption records. She has family now and Wade3 convinced her healthy couples fight all the time.

Great story about relationships with the Steele's sixth sense working overtime. The nature versus nurture theme flowed through this novel as the evil drug dealing genes of Robert flowed in Jonathan as he like his dad were greedy for money and did anything for it. Not once did Jonathan acknowledged his father was responsible for his death due to his life choices. Glad she, Miranda, and her dad spoke and she actually liked her surviving half siblings. A gravity defying read!

Tried to stick with it but am finally cutting my losses

I really wanted to stay with this series because it has some fun characters and some intriguing plot points, but good grief I can only take Miranda's turning on Parker so many times -- two to three times in every book is too many! How about she outgrows that after the first or maybe even the second time they face death together? Seriously, where is the character development? And it gets very old to read that Parker is once again trying g to protect Miranda by keeping something from her. I quit reading these books so I can quit complaining, "what an idiot!" and "not that again!" Why do Miranda and Parker always have to be in danger ? Why does every book have to begin with Parker trying g to get Miranda to give herself time to heal from horrendous injuries from the previous book's case? Too tiresome.

Fourth book in Miranda series

Miranda and Parker go to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Trouble always seems to follow.

I enjoyed this book but it was not as absorbing as the first three books. Miranda has a lot of emotional damage from her previous life. She is still quick to walk when emotions get tight but with each book she is growing. The emotional outbursts get wearing . Parker is a saint. The books are well written and very methodical. There were some typos and book was somewhat predictable after 4 books. I will continue the series though. I am invested in this saga.

Pippa is part dragon and part pyromancer. She's not fully aware of her abilities and she's not able to shift. She's also an amazing glass blower. Ingo, is her ex and he's a wolf shifter and a supernatural law enforcement officer. They split because Ingo couldn't balance his work/life demands very well even though the love is clearly there.

The vampires are up to no good and one of her friends, Stacey goes missing. Pippa works a party at their compound in order to take this group down and a pretty intense evening ensues.

I love this series and I can't wait to read Abby's story next. Abby is one of Pippa's amazing sisters.

Headstrong

Miranda and Parker travel to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Miranda discovers a dead body while on a late night walk! Things heat up from there. Miranda "feels" that this is a homicide, but the police consider it an accident or suicide. A real surprise when they discover who the victim is. A good story, just wish that Miranda as a character would be less stubborn and judgemental and realize that Parker is genuine in his love and caring.

Love this series. Love the progression and development of the characters. I like that time is acknowledged in each book and we see the relationships deepen with each book. Just staring the next one and am glad that there are many more in the series so that I won’t run out of them for a while as I am always looking for really good series to read

Well. I am enjoying ths series, but could do without all the swooning over Parker's body and the 200 or so descriptions of what they are wearing everywhere they go. The stories are good but seem to end a bit abruptly. Like Miranda's meeting her father and his family could have been a whole lot more in depth. Guess I am used to Tammy Hoag and John Grisham, but I'll keep readng.

Step by step

Their marriage may not survive, as things change and devote develop Miranda's but head reactions ( which sometimes get on my nerves) will either save the day or ruin it all. Parker just can't seen to win these days.

Fire Dancer

How sad for Miranda and her father. He gains a daughter back but loses his oldest son. The Hawaiians have such a way with dancing and languages that it makes you cry. She saves Parker, again, goes on to Rome not knowing what is brewing in Atlanta.

Admittedly nothing too shocking...sort of the same formula repeated...however said formula is comfortable like a thick pair of socks on a chilly night. This series is maybe a guilty pleasure without any regrets!

A honeymoon in Hawaii, a luau, finding a dead body, saving Parker, finding a family everything but a honeymoon. Miranda has a way of getting into trouble even when she's doing good. Great job. Thank you.

Miranda finally got married, and now she's on her honeymoon. Thing may not be what they seem though. Miranda will find out some things, and she and Parker are having a few issues. I can't wait for more now though, this book was so good.

Readers will love the 4th book

Maranda’s life continues to entertain, worry and delight her readers. Parker is so patient and Miranda so headstrong that one never knows what is coming next. Looking forward to the 5th book, “Thin Ice”, to continue the saga.

Touching

I enjoyed this story, but with one exception. Why does she have to be so dang mad so easy. The story is well written and planned out. I really liked the family get together at the funeral. Good story, good reading.

My first Miranda book, and I won't be reading a second. It was okay. Just not my cup of tea. I can't put my finger on why exactly.
