Beyond frustrating! I wanted to tear my hair out! Miranda is such a b.......east!
I have faithfully followed this series! While book two had hugevtriggers, I navigated the material somewhat successfully! Firedancer broke my heart! I finally realized I can't stand her! Yes, she had a horrific childhood, endured a nightmare marriage and lost her daughter! (I will not elaborate on those horrors)!
Miranda is resilient, strong, intuitive and resourceful! She is also completely unlikeable, surly(a huge understatement)! She marries Parker fully exspecting to flee the marriage! She clearly doesn't love Parker, who for unimaginable reasons loves her unconditionally! On the honeymoon, at the first disagreement she flees without a second thought! Sure she likes the sex and how Parker looks out for her, but....who gives a sh...out!
This novel was like fingernails on a chalkboard! Screeching, horrible and agonizing. Miranda seems to have no reedeeming value! Yet Parker, fool that he is.....loves this incorrigable women!
This entire book Miranda ruminates about fleeing Parker! Her dire circumstances aside, she is still responsible for her actions!
Alright so I hated her the first 2/3rds of the tale! The last third I sobbed my eyes out! It did not redeem the book! Cold, callused and lacking human emotion....devoid of human filters, is not entertaining, enduring or acceptable!
At lasr Miranda stoically ellicited a small resolve toward Parker and her new relations! Too little, too late!
Will I read the next episode in the serial? Yes, I'm totally invested but feel betrayed!
I've ranted enough! The book was agonizing, slow and boring but settled in a for a great ending!
I've been scorned and hell hath no fury, but I'll persevere and stare down the next offering (i'm probably charged more for Kindle books then men also! Okay that was just spiteful! But it's my perogative.....right?
