A self-described exile, Tenorio-Trillo has produced a singular tour of the historical imagination and its universal traits.

This was a well-written book on history and language. Tenorio-Trillo focused on Mexican history, but much of the volume can be applied to a variety of historical fields, especially when dealing with oral histories.
