Handsome billionaire, Chase Bradford, makes her heart beat again, but she's afraid he just might be the man who will break her heart for good. USA Today Bestselling author April Murdock loves romance, especially sweet stories that make you sigh out loud. She loves to write stories inspired by people in her life - past and present. She doesn't live on a ranch, but some of her favorite memories are visiting her cousins at their horse farm. And they've been helpful sharing information that sometimes shows up in her stories.
April has lived her whole life in the Southern US. Traveling is a great love, but coming home to Georgia where her heart is makes her happy.
I enjoyed this good, cute, clean story as my first exposure to April Murdock’s work. I was, however, distracted because of poor proofreading that overlooked numerous editing errors that included typos, and name inconsistencies.
April Murdock writes a good story . The setting is in two places; New York and Georgia. Chase and Jessica are the lead characters and interesting ones at that. There were other great characters that will draw your attention to this story. There is a good plot with a great ending.
Even when you expect certain things in a book, it is always good to see that HEA's are not to easy to achieve. And Chase and Jessica's story proves it. I loved listening to this book. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook.
The book had a great beginning showing that they met at his brother's wedding, that he was the best man and she was the bride's maid. The plot at the auction was good, not knowing that she should use the best friends and her husband's savings, then to have a stranger come with a piece of paper to have her use his money instead of breaking into the savings of her friend. The auction going so hi dollar wise was great and the bidding between the girls was exciting, but when they got together and they really enjoyed the togetherness of the day and he made another time to be with her for the week end showed how they hit it off. The part where his mother was pushing the other rich girl on him even after the auction. She was feeling that she needed to tell him about the original donor of the prize money was bothering her greatly and the whole thing ended like it should have that he told her that he was the donor of the prize money and he wanted to get together with her since the brother's wedding.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Billionaire's Charity Date. This is not a new trope, but this story was well written with surprisingly well developed characters. The story kept me well entertained and I did not put it down until I reached the end
This was a cute sweet read! I loved Chase and Jessica was a perfect match for him. Not sure about the Mom...I don't see her folding as she did, but it is a HEA so that is all that matters!!
