A wonderfully written book about a wonderful woman! Willie Johnson lived and ministered in an era when women evangelist were sometimes frowned on, much less a biracial woman. Although she was mistreated at times, and suffered abuse, (sold as a child bride to an older man) she kept on, shining with the glory of God in her life. She ‘counted it all joy’ to be able to minister and she showed the love of Christ in her walk with Him. She was well beloved by so many and still remembered as a heroine of faith. This book has come out at the precise time....an example to many to spark a fire in our hearts once again.

All my life I have heard about Sister Willie through my mom and grandparents who were Sister Willis pastors. I also grew up listening to her records. After getting Sister Lori’s book in the mail, I felt like I got to know Sister Willie a little bit more. I could not put the book down till I finished it! Her story is one you will definitely want to have in your library and read over and over again, it is a life changing story!! Love love this story!!!
