Menosaurus: Tyrannosaur Droid Boy

Rate this book
The year is 3017.
Before Aero-cars or space-rockets, humans or dinosaurs; before our planet was home to any form of breathing organism, a race more powerful than you can imagine watched over from a planet known as Prehistoria. The Menosaurs, as they are known, first discovered Planet Earth which they called Mordex. To them it was the richest planet beyond their solar system, beyond their galaxy. Why? Earth was the greatest known source of an invaluable rock named Grandidierite, known to them as Astronomite.
Half-dinosaur half-human themselves, the Menosaurs took Planet Earth as their own. Here, over two-hundred-and-thirty million years ago, they created dinosaurs in their own image, used the Earth as their harvest grounds, wanting to evolve symbiotically with their surroundings.
But they weren't the only race among the undiscovered solar-systems that wanted ownership of our planet. The Mantoids, sworn enemy to the Menosaurs, had their beady eyes on the same prize.
Back on Earth, Rex, a technologically-adapted fourteen-year-old boy, half-tech half-human, and his rather paranoid furry yeti-droid care-taker, Rion, find Tarock the young Menosaur whose asteroid egg-capsule crashes into Earth near their home, on route to Prehistoria. Unfortunately, the U.S. Marines have also been alerted to the alien capsule's arrival, and they're not about to let this 'thing' walk free.

With his excitement for ‘make believe’ and creating new ideas for characters and superheroes, he feels ‘the sky’s the limit’; there’s so much one can tune into. This excitement motivates him to create inspiring works that are original and innovative, sparking the reader’s imagination, taking them on a journey into his world.

Simon has recently released his first book in his new dinosaur sci-fi series for kids called ‘Menosaurus’. With the same amount of action, an equally adventurous hero and shocking villains, this series takes place both on Earth and in the depths of space, where a race of super-intelligent dinosaur humanoids plot to reclaim Earth which they believe to be rightfully theirs...

...Coming back to his history in never-before-seen product design, Simon is also the creator and president of the FreeForma clothing line, and the inventor of the classic surf/skateboard FreeForma bike! It's late one night, and the farmhouse where Rex and Rion are sleeping is rocked by a massive explosion. They investigate and find -- a tiny Tyrannosaurus Rex!

The mini-dinosaur apparently has arrived in a hollow meteorite that landed near the house and, while Rex and Rion watch breathlessly, it morphs into a human being.

"Holy moly!" cries Rex, cowering for protection under the long arm of his seven-foot-tall yeti companion, Rion. The two are inseparable.

"He loves that kid, well, as much as a droid could love. His programming is set to parental guidance, and that’s it for Rion. He’s Rex’s guardian, to serve and protect him at all costs; even if it means destroying himself or others, the kid comes first."

This is NOT your average children's story. Instead, it's the delightful and riveting tale of how a boy and his super-powered droid become friends with an interstellar intruder.

But the story goes much deeper than that.

Earth long ago was home to Menosaurs -- just like the unfortunate refugee that Rex and Rion find on their farm. Tarok -- the boy who can transform into a T-Rex -- tells them that his ancestors -- the Earth's dinosaurs -- were wiped out by a gigantic attack from space by the ancient enemy of Tarok's people back on Prehistoria, his home world.

The author goes to great lengths to reassure readers that Tarok and his people -- er, dinosaurs -- are friendly, and wish no harm to the citizens of Earth -- which they said formerly was called Mordex.

But, in another part of the book, we find that there ARE evil dinosaurs back where Tarok came from, and they're about to come looking for him. And, in the process, they want to re-colonize Earth.

To make matters worse, the U.S. military is actively searching the hills around Rex''s farm, hoping to find and "study" the unique creature. They don't know yet that he's just a small, scared boy -- most of the time, anyway.

This excellent book delivers a first-rate tale of boyhood bonding while peopling it with plenty of suspense, danger and, above all, a satisfying ending.

Five stars to Menoosaurs. Read it as a tantalizing tale with your children. They'll thoroughly enjoy the imaginative story.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a great book for children. It has all the things, kids, like all together in one story. The main characters are really good with great chemistry. This is a real page-turner. The fact that it is the first book in a series makes it more enjoyable. I think all kids would love to read this book.
