This has been a long time coming. In the past few years, my father passed away, my son was diagnosed with a chronic condition, and I’ve been struggling with major health issues of my own. These challenges have taken a heavy toll, and I no longer have the energy or capacity to continue writing and publishing.
To every reader who has supported the series, left kind reviews, and joined me on this journey... thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love for these characters and this world has meant more to me than I can ever properly express. I’m so deeply grateful for every single one of you.
I may find my way back to writing one day, but right now it feels very unlikely. For the foreseeable future, I need to step away and focus on my family and my health.
Thank you again for all the joy and support you’ve given me over the years. It has truly been an honour.

Having read the DSS series from the beginning, I have been a Team Jase gal for quite some time. This Another Life trilogy was a bit rough to read at times and it had me in tears on more than one occasion. The final book in this trilogy has a lot of triggers and at times I wasn’t sure I could finish it. I am glad I did, but it’s important to know that this is not the happily ever after for Jase that so many readers would have expected or wanted. It is still a comfort to some extent and I would recommend pushing through to the end if you can. If you have loved the DSS then you should definitely read through this trilogy, but if you’re not happy with the David Ara Jase love triangle and would rather be done with it, I would skip these books.

Wow
For a good art of this book I thought I was going to give it a one star. It was harsh and should come with a disclaimer. Seeing characters that I fell in love with in the original series be so different and even cruel was difficult, but seeing Ara and Jase get their happily ever after was insightful. Even though it was hard I’m glad I got to see them together even though the journey leading to was horrible. But the ending!!!! Omg I just can’t. I want to know what’s going on with Jase and Lily. I wanted to see the emotion of coming back to reality at the very end instead of their HEA. It was a tease and hurt to not have closure on a story that I’ve followed for TWELVE BOOKS!!!! Why can’t Jase be happy??? He’s a good guy. He’s sweet and kind and I just want him happy.

Manipulation, political pressure, and supernatural stakes. There were also a ton of dark turning points in the story, shifting from political intrigue into sustained psychological and physical abuse. The time jumps effectively show how hope collapses into long-term entrapment, making the later domestic scenes feel especially suffocating. While the plot continues to expand its supernatural and political stakes, the most impactful element is Ara’s emotional deterioration and the slow erosion of trust in every relationship she has. This ending really surprised me. The final chapter takes a complete turn, and while I knew it was all a vision, I thought it was a clever way to remind the reader that the entire series is framed by the original story. It was an interesting ending and definitely wasn't nearly as bleak as I expected after everything that had happened throughout the rest of the book.

Love & Hate
This was the saddest book that I have ever read and I loved it. I have to admit that I read it with a box of tissues, hating all of the pain and anguish and just wanting to reach a happy moment in the story. When that was finally accomplished, it left me wanting more and more. I took a chance in reading this series and loved them from Book I. You have made me into one of your loyal readers and now I'm onto the next book. I can't wait to read what happens next.Thank you Angela Hudson.

Graphic abuse
The physical and psychological abuse of the wife is difficult. Graphic scenes of domestic terror. This is also coupled with psychological abuse of a 5-7 yo child. To add to that it’s an alternative reality of a perfectly good 8 series story which she tries to regurgitate down to a 3 series. It just doesn’t work for me I gave 3 stars instead of two because the seven series of Dark Secrets is so very stellar. Let have more vamp stories with new characters please!

Wow.
Well, if you're a big fan of Anne Rice, vampires, and Twilight, then you'll love this series period. I read all of the dark secret series. Still plan to read Bound soon.. This book has me reeling still! Just wow. Minds a jumbled mess from the alternate reality version of Ara and Jase's love story.

Amazing!!
I finally got around to this 3 book series and it totally answered all of the "What If" questions from the Dark Secrets Series!!! So excited to have another set of books in my arsenal when I need to get lost for a while in another world!

It was a little depressing seeing David abuse Ara but was still a crazy twist at the end. I liked it and am moving on to the next book
