My Step-Dad is my mate?

Rate this book
From the first time she met him, Danica has felt an uncontrollable pull towards her mother's husband, her new step-dad, Richard Blaize. But being too young to understand the actual cause of the attraction, she played it off as a simple "school girl's crush".

But two years down the road, the feelings have never left but they grow stronger as she nears her 18th birthday.

Danica prayed for the time to come so she'd finally discover who her mate is....but she's in for a bit of a surprise.

Being mated to your step-father is no easy deal but will the mating last? Or is a good ole rejection in play?

I admit I originally started this book because hello - look at the title, I absolutely had a WTF reaction. Then after the first couple chapters I continued for no other reason than to hear the step-father’s excuse for marrying the mom.
Long story short I ended up reading the whole book. It is obviously not a professional job and the last third of the book doesn’t flow well, but I fell in love with Aiden and empathized with Richard by the end even though I don’t condone what he did in any way, shape, or form.
Side note: The author’s take on the mating bond and rejecting it annoyed me. If it’s that easy to reject the bond and go on with your life why even have it?
Additional side note: It turns out numerous authors use this ‘reject mate’ clause in their books, though they never seem to stick smh.

Almost predictable. I could almost predict where the story was going. But it was a reasonable read. At least kept me going while in transit and i didnt have my books with me.

It's very much a draft
A short story
The story itself is ok. Kind of predictable. Richard is probably the most unique character that I have come across in these kinds of books, in that he is a bit of a selfish schmuck, but not actually a bad guy. Once he recognises his own flaw, he genuinely wants to see the main character happy.
Not bad, not good. Just a nice, non-stressful, lazy day read.

Totally leaves one hanging... starts off good and chapter 33 is just dropped dead...
Don't know what happened to the author but the book is dead in the water...
Which is why they should never be partially published
