Nazirite DNA

Rate this book
No other message that I have preached has been more endorsed prophetically and supernaturally than “the call of the Nazirite.” It has been foundational to TheCall and to the prayer and fasting movement and has erupted among young people in the last ten years. It has also been the spirit behind the Bound4LIFE prayer movement and is presently challenging the death culture and the abortion altar in this nation.I believe that a return to Nazirite consecration is the only hope for a return to God in America. And it will be the ground preparation, even the forerunner, for the greatest spiritual awakening she has ever seen.

This is a very short booklet, easy to read in one sitting. The author cast vision for a life set apart for two purposes, first to enjoy and experience the pleasures of God to the fullest and second to have greater impact for the kingdom.

I enjoyed reading this book because it was a good reminder of the fire I desire to have for God. God has multiple times impressed it upon my heart to intentionally deny permissible sometimes good things in order to encounter Him more. I’d say recently I’ve lost sight of that vision-feeling like it is not worth it or that it doesn’t really matter. With that said right now I don’t feel like I have much resolve for the radical life that this book calls it’s readers to. Therefore my favorite part was about God pursuing us, setting His love as a seal on my heart. That must happen in order to sustain such a life. So that is my prayer and take away that God would set himself as the passion of my heart and lead me in how to set my life apart for Him.

I definitely recommend reading this book if you want a radical perspective on the Christian life!

Inspirational and motivational!

I so loved hearing Lou Engle's many stories of how the Lord had been moving in the US! My heart was touched and I feel a fire has been kindled afresh in my heart. :-)

A very powerful book, calling us to a deeper surrender. To leave the good for the great, to let go of some momentary pleasures of this world for the eternal rewards that come from God to those who set themselves apart for his glory

Good book, and convicting. However, I found it to be iffy at times on how it describes things. The basis are Old Testament traditions, which I felt could have been explained with New Testament lighting more on it than it was.
