This would be a good book for people getting dogs, starting out, or just looking for a strong, basic understanding of reading and bonding with your dog. I definitely learned some neat little facts I didn’t know about prior to reading!

What and why would you rate this book? I gave this book a 4 out of 5 star review because it helped me understand and connect with a lot that was happening and in the book and in my everyday life. The book helped me see and comprehend was actions my dog was making and how I could help or make him more happy. The book had information that was just the right amount, there was never an unneeded saying or fact in the book. Yes, sometimes there were some fun facts but that helped keep the book interesting. I honestly felt it was harder to take notes on a nonfiction book than fiction because it does not have a story line, no main characters and nothing to really think about. The information is all right there in front of you. I would recommend this book to children and teens from 10+ and definitely recommend if you have a dog or want to learn about how they act.

Great book! However, people who do not appreciate dogs will never understand the knowledge & humor that were used to get the significant points across. But for us animal lovers, the book will thoroughly be enjoyed!

This was an interesting book to read even though it was preaching to the choir. It is probably a good reference for those who never had a dog until now.

Jako dumna posiadaczka psiego przyjaciela przeczytałam już wiele książek o czworonogach, dlatego sięgając po „Co wie twój pies” autorstwa Sophie Collins nie spodziewałam się, że dowiem się czegoś nowego. Byłam przekonana, że na temat tych czworonogów posiadam już całkiem sporą wiedzę, którą ta książka jedynie utrwali w mojej głowie. Tymczasem już na samym początku zostałam bardzo pozytywnie zaskoczona. Ponieważ „Co wie twój pies” w odróżnieniu od innych poradników tego typu nie skupia się na tym jak wychować naszego pupila, lecz na tym jak te zwierzęta postrzegają świat oraz w jaki sposób komunikują się z otoczeniem. Dzięki kwestią w niej poruszanym możemy się dowiedzieć, jak działają psie zmysły oraz w jaki sposób zwierzęta odbierają nasze ruchy, emocje oraz gesty względem nich. Pozwala to zrozumieć czytelnikowi zachowanie swojego czworonoga oraz ułatwia znalezienie źródła ewentualnych problemów, których nieświadomie możemy być źródłem. Poradnik ten mimo małych gabarytów jest niezwykle treściwą książką, po której lekturze nie odczuwa się niedosytu. Czyta się ją szybko i przyjemnie, a zawarte w niej treści nie raz zaskoczą czytelnika.

Niewątpliwą zaletą „Co wie twój pies” jest już sama treść, jednak szata graficzna wcale nie zostaje w tyle. Sama twarda oprawa i prosta, lecz piękna okładka z przesłodkim psiakiem, niesamowicie zachęcają do sprawdzenia co znajduje się wewnątrz. Kiedy zajrzymy już do środka odkryjemy, że oprócz interesującej treści książka ta skrywa także piękne ilustrację oraz zdjęcia zwierzaków, które doskonale współgrają z treścią i nie raz wywołują uśmiech na twarzy czytelnika.

Dlatego, jeśli jesteście miłośnikami psich czworonogów lub po prostu jesteście ciekawi jak wygląda świat ich oczami to koniecznie sięgnijcie po książkę „Co wie twój pies” Sophie Collins. Znajdzie tutaj odpowiedzi na wszystkie nurtujące Was pytania i wiele więcej. Z tą pozycją na pewno nie będziecie się nudzić. Gorąco polecam!

It’s actually called “What Your Dog Knows” and it’s great! I learned so much about my dog, including some fun games to play with her, and some games to see what she knows and how in tune we are.
