Cathy Jackson is an Award-Winning Author and Midwestern mother of two twenty-somethings and two teenagers. Reading is a passion of hers, but she adores writing. Some of the best people have been placed in her life to help her with her books. They are a blessing and mean more than they will ever know.
Jennifer Harshman of HarshmanServices.com has been her Editor for the first eleven books. Opal Campbell of Videos by O. has designed her book teasers and trailers. Matthew Jackson of Mad Celt Designs has designed her book covers.
Three of the most excellent Actors have come alongside her books, too: John Wells, a Multi-Award-Winning Actor from Louisville, Kentucky; Tom Proctor Actor/director, another Actor and Stuntman; Official John J Thomassen from New York. and Martin Lopez, Leading Actor, Model, Stunt Man, and Author.
She reads books in almost every genre, but have published Contemporary Inspirational (Christian) Romances. She'll be publishing books in other genres.
It is her goal as an Author to write scenes that uplift and encourage along with making one feel the experience. She wants readers to finish the books feeling hope, love, and happiness.
This author did it again! She gives her readers a story that's what you expect from her but at the same time isn't. It's a love story that neither wanted but found, is a story of friendship that she wasn't looking for, it's a story of keeping your faith no matter what. At the end it's a story of letting go but not forgetting and accepting what you're given because if it wasn't what you should have it wouldn't have been placed in your path.
I received an ARC of Jericho's Walls and I stress that I'm NOT a huge romance reader. In fact, Cathy's Yours To Love was the first romance I read from first page to last and enjoyed. Thus, I was looking forward to this new offering.
It didn't disappoint at all. The story was well laid out and the primary characters relatable and enticingly enigmatic. The evolution of this love affair was skillfully handled and I couldn't stop reading until it was over. Knowing Cathy's skill with writing inspirational characters, I was amazed to see a bit (like my gift for understatement?) of sexual tension between the two main characters, but tastefully delivered.
Jericho's Walls by Cathy Jackson was another great read by the author. Jericho has been riding her bike trying to distance herself from her past. Unfortunately the ghosts of her past continue to haunt her. She finds a new town to stay in and no matter how hard she tried not to, she is attracted to one particular man. I absolutely loved reading Jericho and Joshua's story. I can't wait to read more by Cathy Jackson.
Thank you to the amazing Cathy Jackson for allowing me to read her next release. Once again Cathy has amazed me with her talent. She has produced yet another edgy inspirational romantic read. You will laugh and cry and fall in love.
Truly a great book, just hit too close to home for me right now. Cathy's words inspirational and honest. Maybe one day I can re-read Jericho and don't feel like my heart is breaking all over again.
I like the new direction Cathy is taking in her writing. This is a fun, sweet story with real human beings who hurt and care and love and have problems. Great job, Cathy. I would like to see this one continue!
I found this story very interesting. As a Christian Author wrote the story it was a bit intense but somehow just right. The story was told in a very personal way and was therefore a look into another type of lifestyle not usually discussed by Christians. Bravo Cathy.
Jericho has been through so much , loosing her husband and child have made Jericho a shell of her former self . She is running away from her past and the ghosts that won't let her go. When she rolls into a small town , she is thinking that she might stay awhile . Until she meets the diner owner and her brother the coffee shop. They come into her life when she is vulnerable and she is scared . When Joshua Nun comes into her life he brings out emotions in her that she has buried long ago . But will they have their happily ever after or are they too damaged from their pasts to know that they belong together . The characters in this book are totally amazing . They are well written and complex. Jericho is tough as nails but she has been through so much and is trying to come out the other side . She has a relationship with God but at the moment you feel that her relationship isn't that strong . She has the ghosts of her past that haunt her and it seems like she has become one with the pain . When she meets Joshua he pushs buttons in her that she thought were long gone and that scares her big time . Joshua Nun well he is a brooding, sexy man . He has his own demons that he is trying to work through . When he meets Jericho there is an attraction there that he just doesn't undrstand at first. He is trying to stay away but there is more to love then what goes on . He is a little grumpy but he does have a heart of gold and would do almost anything for the people he loves . These characters are perfectly imperfect and they will grab your heart and hold on . I adore this authors writing style, it is complex and you get sucked in by the end of chapter one . The characters are well written and complex, you will fall in love with them . You will cheer for them and want to keep them safe . This is a christian story but it has an edge to it . You will want to keep reading and you really want to find out if they are going to get together or not. The author has a way of bringing out all sorts of emotions in her characters . Trust me here ladies I ugly cried through this book . I mean i really ugly cried, there are a couple of scenes that the tears will fall and not stop. I read this book in an evening and it has stayed with me . It will tear at your heart strings , rip out your heart but also put it back together again . So if you want a story that will stay with you for a long time after you have finished reading it . Please check out JERICHO'S WALLS .I promise this book will have you reading well into the night
I am extremely impressed with Cathy Jackson writing. This book, Jericho's Wall is by far the best story she has written thus far. It has held my interest from the beginning and it was extremely hard to put down in order to go to work. Jericho Buchanan, a woman that has had tragedy in her life and she is trying to escape the reality of accepting it in order to move on. Joshua Nun is dealing with his past as well but refuses to let anyone into his life until now. This is an inspirational story of love, acceptance, sharing and moving on with life. It will have you in tears, and actually laughing out loud. Jericho and Joshua are in need of one another, will they find their way to each other? Pick up the book and read. This is a novella but there is so much there to absorb. You too will be impressed with Cathy Jackson writing and will be hooked as I am. Congratulations Cathy, you have achieved. This book is my favourite and your best.
