At age fifteen, she dropped out of high school and left the horse farm in Michigan where she grew up to attend the University of Michigan.
After earning a degree in Russian and East European studies, she joined the U.S. Air Force and became the youngest female pilot in the history of the Air Force. She flew supersonic jets, VIP airlift and the “C-5” Galaxy, the world’s largest airplane. She also worked part-time gathering intelligence. During her military career, she traveled to forty countries on five continents, was detained by the KGB and East German secret police, she got shot at, flew in the first Gulf War, met her husband and amassed a lifetime’s worth of war stories.
Her hobbies include professional Middle Eastern dancing, Japanese gardening and medieval reenacting. She started writing on a one-dollar bet with her mother and was thrilled to win that bet with the publication of her first book in 2001.

Well - the first thing I learned was that it takes more time to import a new title into Good Reads than it took to read said book.
Cindy Dees is one of my favorite Harlequin authors. Yes, Harlequin! I will generally pick up anything she writes, especially the Medusa books. Quick, light reads with strong women and lots of action and romance - these fill the dessert portion of my reading diet.
Maggie is on her way to a seaside resort for work when her plane crashes during a cyclone, leaving her stranded with gruff Tom, the former bodyguard turned pilot, and a serial killer that preys on lovers on the beach!

Cindy Dees packed a full story in a novella along with strong conflict. There was one clue in the middle of the story, which was never followed up on-not sure if it was forgotten or should have been deleted as it didn't fit the storyline.
I did enjoy the forming relationship between hero and heroine.

Terribly written and such a dumb story, but alas, it still kept my interest. Some very good "scenes."

Trash. Pure trash. There's no suspense and the plot with the serial killer is barely touched on. It's mostly sex, sex, and more sex.
