If you're any kind of Marley fan, this is the coffee table book you didn't know you needed. Henke does a great job balancing the myth-making with the actual human being, the Trenchtown years, the Wailers dynamics, the Rastafari faith, all of it feels grounded rather than hagiographic.

What really makes it though is the visual side, rare photos, replicated handwritten lyrics, ticket stubs, that kind of ephemera that makes his life feel tangible instead of just legendary. It's the kind of book you flip through as much as you read cover to cover.

Not a dense biography, and it doesn't need to be, it knows exactly what it is: a loving, well-researched tribute that gives you the essential Marley story with enough texture to make it stick. Recommend it for anyone who loves the music but wants to understand the man behind it a little better.

This book is both a moving tribute to "the psalmist in our times" as well as an upful book with which InI can turn to whenever InI need a boost of Bob's livity.

Immortality of the music of a man who fought for a cause. It gives one a good understanding of the man, his (Reggae)music and the faith and peace he fought for.

I loved all the pictures but it was a high level look into the events of his life and not much more.
