Mr. Schulman presents one of the most radical and unorthodox interpretations of retrograde planets yet published. Disregarding the traditional "good" or "bad" explanations, he gives instead a system which explains the three vibrational moods in which these planets may be expressed. Each planet is discussed thoroughly in all signs and houses. There is also an examination of the esoteric and karmic symbolism begun in Volume 1 of the Series.

I was read to filth but I needed to hear it. Many things were clarified to me, validated and called out. I’ve been increasingly curious about the impact of my North and South Nodes, and the Retrogrades and Reincarnation book fills in some gaps about where I’m headed. A few of the Rx seem to be offset by other natal placements which soften the effect. I really found a ton of information in this book and I’ll be returning to it again and again now that I’m in mid-life. I have 7 retrograde planets so this book gave me information and explanations that no other astrology book has ever given me.
There’s lots of weird language about homosexuality/queerness that isn’t exactly judgmental but Shulman DOES seem to consider queerness abnormal. Not in a bad way, just that it’s not the norm. I feel like gender and sexuality is all a spectrum and mostly a societal construct, so I don’t resonate with his words. But I didn’t feel they were cruel, especially since it was written in the 70’s.
It’s annoying that Shulman decided that Capricorn Neptune Rx was too far in the future to write about. I was born with this placement in 1984 so I guess he was like, “Fuck the youth”. 1984 was only 6 years after the second printing of this book. Oh well.

Martin Schulman es un autor super respetado en la comunidad astrológica, sin embargo, tenemos que tener en cuenta que todos estos libros son de hace casi 40 años. Casi todos los temas tratados en este libro ya fueron descartados a través de la investigación rigurosa. La mayoría de las cosas de este libro ya no están vigentes, si bien hay algunas buenas ideas. El efecto de los planetas retrógrados no es como se decía antes.
