This book really did Rescue my struggling reader. More-so, it rescued me as his teacher that was becoming overly frustrated going in circles. he improved a full grade level after I read and utilzed this book in a matter of months.
This book is so helpful, giving step by step guidance to non-educators to help their child learn to read. My middle son went to the resource room for about 4 months at school, and I did this with him at home, and it really helped!
When a certain child I know* was still struggling with reading in second grade, I bought this book and used its recommended method to teach him to read over the course of a couple of weeks. The method is simple and works very well.
This book is wonderful to have around to help a struggling reader to read better and lots of patience helps as well. My son has finished two small books he read pretty much on his own. He has improved and still going.
This is a must have book for anyone teaching their child to read. The content in my opinion, is not limited to readers who are struggling. The methods canbe applied to anyone learning to read.
