When Gabriel's company is ready to start beta testing, he invites his old crush to inspect its medical safety protocol. Curious about the revolutionary technology of the Perfect Match Virtual Fantasy-Fulfillment studios, Brenna agrees.Neither expects to end up partnering for its first fully immersive test run.
What the Hell!! The story ends after the fantasy sexual game they were playing. Brenna just wanted to have sex with a Krall who live off human blood. No real mention of Vampires!! No vampire story here!!
I have never rated one of I.T. Lucas's books so low and here's why:
This has sooo much potential but it was just too short of a read for me to really get into it. It seemed like more of a novella to me and typically I only like novellas if they carry on a side story of main characters in a larger book. Is that just me?
A majority of her books are between the 200-300 page mark but they are just long enough to get me really hooked. Plus she always has 3 books dedicated to a specific couples "love story" as I like to call it, so it's plenty of pages to get me really connected to the characters. My other complaint is that I wanted more depth and information for the before and after the virtual reality world. This is supposed to be a stand alone series but Perfect Match is originally mentioned in the Children of the Gods series so anyone who hasn't read that series won't know the back story to it.
Overall, I will still read the rest of the books because I have loved all of her books but it won't be anything I rave about to my friends like The Children of the Gods series.
I gave this a 2-star rating because it has hope. It's the framework for a good even maybe a great story. It was just too short. A great build up. Throw in Kian, Willam, Brundar and his brother ( his name just dropped out of my jead just now ) and also Ingrid's name is mentioned up then BAM! the end.
Well you see it's Ms Lucas' fault. She has set the bar so high that I've only come tp expect the very best. Hers is a book I don't hesitate to buy. I don't even look at the title, I just see her name and then press buy. No hesitation. I've already pre-ordered book 2 so you know Ms Lucas is still on my 'must buy' list.
I really enjoyed this short read and start to a new series!
This book was quite creative in its world building. Gabriel and his business partner Hunter have created a VR program called Perfect Match. It's designed to find your perfect sexual partner in a fantasy world. Brenna is Gabriel's long time crush from junior year in high school. He's been stalking her for twelve years! Now he has hired her to be the medical monitor for the program's Beta testing.
Why didn't it get five stars? This romance book was short on romance, there was only one steamy scene, and the ending while satisfying lacked the necessary detail and felt rushed. I blame this on the short length of the story! Sometimes short books are harder to write and pull the reader in than a longer book.
But, the concept is very good and left a few unanswered questions that made it intriguing. I will probably try the second book in the series, King's Chosen.
Have you read the teaser? This was a short, easy read to let us the preamble to the "Perfect Match" company. The founder, Gabriel and his friend Hunter had started it. Taking six years to build it with the all the money they had earned from selling their gaming app. It's been a lot of years since high school, when Gabriel was a skinny, pimply faced teenager with a crush on Brenna. He's followed and stalked her career and social media account all this time. When they meet up again at a reunion, he convinces her to come and be his medical tester. Of course they will eventually need one, but he wants to find a way to spend time with her. This was such a fun, quirky book with characters that had personalities so relatable you couldn't help but love them. It made for a fun read this afternoon.
Very quick read. After having read the COTG series up to book 90 something, to go back and read this series was nostalgic. There was a little bit of a shocker with the Krall fantasy considering Syssi was supposedly the one that came up with it during a meld of minds board meeting after Kian put the stock in her name though. That meeting didn’t seem to take place here and there was no mention of Syssi being involved. In fact, Gabriel doesn’t even know how the fantasy got into the system and assumes it was William’s doing… But how could he not know about the meeting and Syssi? Oh well, oversight I guess.
Hopefully I will find out who the mysterious Brian is from Toven’s books with Mia since he works at Perfect Match….
I’m a huge fan of the Children of the Gods series. I haven’t read any previews for this book because I really like the author so was just going to read. I was pleasantly surprised to recognize Kian and William. The storyline was separate but I enjoyed reading about the world that exists outside the series. While slightly related, this book is a good read without having to read a whole series. Great place to start if you are new to IT Lucas.
Both characters are engaging and interesting. It is a short, quick read so you don’t get to know them well but it was still entertaining. Looking forward to the next book.
I couldn’t stop turning the pages of this new series of I.T. Lucas about sexy and hot virtual reality matching.
This first book of the Perfect Match series is short but it already set the readers mind on what to expect more. If you love virtual realities this is your chance to explore. Totally mind blowing!
Gabriel and Brenna aka Brel and Renna found their perfect match! After so many years of waiting since high school they finally found the one! How? of course via Perfect Match!
I love the virtual fantasy that Brel and Renna both created. For sure this is another successful series for I.T. Lucas!

Interesting way to spin off from The Children of The Gods series, introducing new characters and bringing in old favorites. For those readers not familiar with the series, you will not feel lost when reading this novella, it is definitely a standalone product. I liked the idea of a "Total Recall" type scenario where the users have their fantasy virtually enacted, while they are in separate rooms. I also thought it was clever to propose it as a matchmaking solution. Brenna and Gabriel are the ideal couple for this experiment: attracted to each other as teens, they never did anything to acknowledge those feelings. Is it too late, read Perfect Match to find out!
This book was like reading the beginning of a potentially amazing fantasy novel and then shutting it and walking away. The tiny amount of world building was honestly intriguing but then it's like ideas we're all dried up, so better have an escape plan. I know that's probably not the point here, hence the most infuriating part of this SPOILER ALERT....
...Is that there is one hookup that is "virtual" and you don't even get to read about how it goes acting it out in real life. Kind of eludes to not being able to meet the excitement of the virtual fantasy, a crappy reminder when humanity is also crap. All in all... Meh.
I enjoyed this short story and it’s a good start to a new series and it’s Gabriel’s and Brenna’s story. Gabriel went to high school with Brenna he was in love with her but he was scared of being rejected so he never told her. Years later Gabriel has designed a virtual game it’s a matchmaking game but they might need a doctor to assist with the program and he thinks of Brenna straight away. Gabriel meets up with Brenna at their school reunion and he offers her the opportunity of a lifetime. This is a really good read and I recommend this book.
I admit I love this author, and did worry about a different series, but fear not, it was short and sweet( too short) and I eagerly await want to read book 2! I hope she will continue this series
However, I want to add a spoiler. If you haven’t read the other series this isn’t for you xx

Ok, so William...🤓 Computer program.....😀 The boss and his bodyguards!!!..... Amanda’s lab... Psychic ability..... Dormants...... 🧛♂️ vampires 🧛🏻♀️.....
Oooh this s could link... please say you see it toooooo
I have been reading the entire "Children of the Gods" series (binge reading them to be honest) and I just can't get enough! I never want the series to end! I have become so attached to the Clan and get so nervous and excited when another Dormant is transitioning. Lucas creates an incredible and believable world that actually spurs the imagination.... Could this be real? As I impatiently wait for book 80 to come out I will entertain myself with the "Perfect Match" books. If you haven't read any of the Lucas books...you are missing out!
I've read all three books in the Perfect Match series. The books are basically stand alone stories centered around the virtual reality world of Perfect Match. Each of the stories are relatively short at just over 100 pages so can be read in a few hours. The characters and story line are sufficiently developed despite being short reads.
I love this twist on supernatural love story. I almost thought I was reading the wrong book;-) It is a fast read and the characters are identifiable. The story is about virtual reality company owner that brings your fantasies to life. His first crush turns out to have a supernatural fantasy that fed his personal light kink. I definitely recommend this book!
I am flummoxed by all the shining and stellar reviews. The plot was generic, the characters hollow and wooden. The steam wasn't truly steam, it was bland soup. Had I read this with K.U. I would have simply laughed and returned it; I made the mistake of purchasing it, based off its glowing reviews. Granted, it didn't cost much, it's the principal. This is why I am even bothering to leave a review.
I read this via KU after a recommend...it was meh. Idk if I'm burnt out on romance or not, but this book just did not hook me like I thought it would. Partly, I think it was bc the characters are too perfect;they were both, hot, smart, and otw to being rich. Their only challenge in life was their kinks. Arguably the most interesting character(Kian)wasn't really in the book. Overall, it was pretty boring.
This was a short first in series. The storyline maybe short but is full of characters that you can connect too. Chemistry between Gabriel and Brenna the second time around is fantastic. Join in the fun in this new series you won’t be disappointed except for it being to short.

Perfect Match is really interesting! It's about a company our favorite immortals from Children of the Gods are in invested in and make a small cameo. I love this concept and wish there was something like it for real. Definitely looking forward to more on this series!
High school crushes can be awkward but meeting them at a reunion can be the stuff of dreams or fantasies. Gabriel’s business was creating fantasy hook ups. Brenna the Dr of his dreams. The two meet up at their high school reunion and the sparks stay well hidden until.......
Perfect Match 1: Vampire’s Consort by I.T. Lucas is a wonderful story that I have read and really loved it. This is book number one in this wonderful brand new series and a wonderful brand new author for me to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about gereral fantasy and Sci- Fi.

First Perfect Match 1: Vampire’s Consort was terrific. Getting to know Gabriel a little after hearing about him from Sissy is wonderful. It was way too short though. I wanted more from the world fantasy that obviously William had created and I wanted more from their actual lives. It was so good it ended all too soon.
I was expecting a little more from this book. It wasn't bad, so please don't misunderstand my rating. The story had potential for a great read. Just when I thought we were there, the "dream" was over. I was a bit disappointed because there was, "Hey let's try this, help me with that, PS, I love you". It was too contrived. I wanted more.
I didn't see this series of shorts until I finished 56 of the 57 book series. While I am waiting for book 57 I thought I would find some kind of book to read by I. T. Lucas to tide me over. I was pleasantly surprised to find these three books about minor characters from the Great Series. Highly recommend.
So what can I say, except Wow! I think that I read the first read a part of this when I was waiting for a part of one of the others to become ready, but never finished it till now. No real twists and turns but that was OK because of what it was about! Sex! If you haven’t read it do so! Great book.
Interesting and ties to The Children of the Gods series
I enjoyed the book and its use of the Perfect Match virtual reality experience. The only thing that would make this better is if it was a longer book. Anyone who has read or reading the Children of the God's Series will enjoy this book.
I liked all the characters but it was too short. I wanted to know more about aunt Barbara and Hunter. I wanted to know more about Brenna's life, her background, family, friends, etc. I just wanted more of everyone. Just like The Children of the Gods, I think this will be a good series so I'll be reading more of it.
I'm thoroughly Amazed by this story 😊. A machine that can take your fantasies and find your perfect match? Fantastic 😄. I'm completely addicted now can't wait to see what happens next 😉. Thanks so much I.T. you're truly an Amazing writer and I am so looking forward to reading more 🤓.
6 Wows ~ What a great story idea using a virtual reality for mates.
I absolutely love the idea of using the virtual games as a way for people to find someone compatible as mates. Each story is completely different love story. I have read 2 so far and love them. You will laugh and enjoy the humor of the author I T Lucas. Love it. Love it. Love it.
